I am going gencon. Bought the badge and plane tickets from the UK. I 'll be in Atlanta the week before and ride up with Sean and Rottgutt. I hope you get to go D-Roc. I'm looking forward to it, though not for wizkids that much. They are a lousy company who just happens to hold some great licenses and patents. Oh well. I'm going to "invest" in some D & D minis 4.0 and definitely whatever heroscape they are slingin'.
I would like to go. It all depends on when school starts back and how hectic everything is at the time. I will go mainly to get/play VS if I am still in to it. I find my interest is beginnning to wain since there is nowhere to play the damn game. If you think Wizkids is dumb try getting into a game the Upper Deck supports. They have to be the biggest bunch of ### #### ####### on the planet. They had a good game with a good following that they are basically letting fall by the wayside due lack of marketing or any grass roots attempts at expansion.
But, Sean went ape #### crazy the other day and bought a ton of Star Wars Minis. He showed me how to play and I also played a Demo online. It seems really fun and I am considering giving it a shot. It depends on whether or not I can find a place to play VS. Really, the place where Liza and I are moving to has a shop not far from there where the have VS tourneys once a week so I am going to stick it out and see what happens. Plus, I have some solid decks put together.
When did you pick up the D&D Minis game? Is this something you jumped into during your time across the pond;) ? I love term.

The next set is due out in June or July. It is called Marvel Universe. It sounds like it will be an Avengers based set. I had read somewhere that the Ultimates will be in that set so I am resonably excited.

BTW - my wife offered me $5 for my WF, then SHE wants to hit Ebay with it. Not happy when I passed...
I will say the the Batman portion of the WF sculpt is incredible. And Supes cape with the translucent plastic is a neat touch. Hope everyone in Atlanta who bought a brick and sent it off in time gets theirs.

After tring to get enough money from my WF to help buy our new bed which is why my WF started at 110. My WF went for 80 BIN to someone in Finland who won't stop messaging me how happy they are. I had a Sociology class that was pretty much a captive audience to the professor's upcoming new book. After the 3rd lecture I stood up told him that he was full of $#*% and walked out. Went to the Dean, explained what was going on and got a refund. That is the reason I did not graduate with a double major. I had to have Psychology or Sociology for my Business degree and he taught both at night when I had the free time.
My wife had a Geography class when she was in college. She said that the teacher was discussing trade routes one day. As you know there are 2ways to pronounce route. There is "Root" and the other way. The professor was using the "root" technique when a student asked what a "root" was. The professor had to stop class to explain to her that there were two ways that people pronounce the same word.
What makes it worse is that Liza saw the same girl a year or two ago and she is now a Nutritionist.

Have you guys been keeping up with the craziness that is going on in Lithonia. How is that place not under Martial Law?
If you have not been keeping up with this then you should. It is better than anything Jerry Springer, Maury Povich, or Geraldo could ever dream up. From what I have gathered so far the sheriff had done a few illegal activities including setting up bank accounts for money acquired from parking/driving citations as well as purchasing himself a vehicle with taxpayers funds. The hip-hop mayor of Lithonia caught wind of this and fired him. Apparently, this upset the the city council for one of two reasons I am guessing; 1. They were upset b/c she went over her head and even though they are as best I can tell completely worthless subhumans they feel that they are unique little snowflakes and there opinions matter, or 2. They like hiring criminals to take care of their criminals in Lithonia. So, the city council got in a fight with the mayor. "Don't make me go there with you mayor" was said many times and I cried because these ####### are stealing my oxygen and have not had reproductive priveledges taken from them.
Before the first meeting was over one of the the city council employees stood up and reinstated the sheriff. The sheriff was also kicked out of the meeting b/c the hip-hop mayor said she felt threatened by his presence.
The next report I showed had the city hall locked up for whatever reason. I was not certain. Also, the hip hop mayor was wearing a neck brace. Apparently, Johnny Law did not like the actions she was taking a ruffed her up a bit. Apparently, they have not honed their skills in the same manner as the cops in South Carolina b/c Hip Hop Mayor was out of the brace the next day.
I saw on the news Friday that no one had been payed b/c of this collosal goat ####. Granted I am perfectly content with this since I feel they should all be fired.
And, the last thing I read on it was that two of Hip Hop Mayor's aides had been arrested. I don't know why but so be it. I was beginning to think this could not get any better. Apparently, they went to get keys for the locked building and were arrested. According the the interwebs Hip Hop Mayors responce was that, "The Chief is not the mayor". This statement is refering to the fellow that she fired.
If you have not been paying attention then you need to catch up. I am fairly certain there will be murders at some point during this ordeal and you don't want to have to catch up on what has happened thus far.
Personally, I feel they should all be forced to hold microwaves to their reproductive organs in an attempt to render them sterile but that would make too much sense.

The mayor of Detroit was recently was indited on a bunch of charges stemming from lying under oath in a lawsuit that a couple of cops who were fired brought up against him. They charged that he was using his security people to held hide his extramarital affairs, and they were fired when they started to investigate claims about that. The perjury charges came from a bunch of sexually charged text messages the mayor sent to his chief of staff.
So we're not the only ones who are the victims of Riki-Lake-esque politics.

I told the owner at Gaming Pit I'd pick one up from him, but if he hasn't gotten it come Wednesday when I go up for Horrorclix, I'm getting it elsewhere. My original plan was to buy it at the WizKids booth at Gen Con so it counted for getting the Knightfall Batman, which I might still do.

Well, I tried to snag Justin a Free Comic Book Day Iron Man.
I went to Titans in Duluth and grabbed one for myself, and (not wanting to take more then one from them do other folks could get one) figured I'd grab one for Justin at Dragon's Horde, but they were saving them for the players in the tournament later that day and I couldn't come back (me and the missus were splitting use of her rental car that day). So I tried again today and went to Oxford, who apparently never got the figure in. I guess I'll try the other Titan in Smyrna tomorrow if I get a chance.

Yes, I find it funny that people complain so much about gas yet people are still driving 90+ mph on the highway. The optimal speed best gasoline useage is around 65 mph. I got past on Thursday by a Toyota Tacoma hauling a trailer that I know was going 90 mph (which is what got me thinking about this). Slowing down could help save money but people are oblivious to this fact. They only think about it when they are at the pump or they are watching the news. This leads me to believe that gas prices are not that high if people do not change their routine to compensate for it. UPS has their right turn only policy which apparently has saved them a ton of money. At least they are being proactive which gives them the right to ##### about gas prices.
Also, if I see another person who is not a trucker get on TV and say he/she is going to strike and not buy gasI am going to set something on fire. I understand why the truckers went on strike in theory but for the person on the news complaining she is a single parent with 3 children (#### you, keep your legs closed) it is ridiculous. Go ahead. Strike. All that will happen is that you will lose your job, then lose your house/apartment, lose your kids to defax, and then I get to pay for them through my taxes. If that fat ##### goes on strike she better drown her kids in the bathtub first b/c I certainly dont want to pay for them.

Just saw Hulk. I really liked it.The effects were great and it was well handled. the only complaint was a rather disjointing bit of editing where things tend to jump. You can tell there is a lot of footage missing, but we are supposed to get that on the video releases.

They look very similar in the face and they have the same surly attitude. As much as I like Aquaman I would never compare him to Namor who is far superior since he would have skull ####ed any fish that tried to gnaw his hand off.

I just got done watching the Hulk. I was very pleased with it. The part where he is beating Abomination with the police car was cinematic gold. Plus, I got to see the Clone wars trailer which I am pretty jazzed about as well.
So what are you folks thinking about the build to GenCon. I'm looking forward to trying Monsterpocalypse, some Heroscape schooling from a couple of you folks I don't see enough, and loosing early in the Heroclix Worlds.

So what are you folks thinking about the build to GenCon. I'm looking forward to trying Monsterpocalypse, some Heroscape schooling from a couple of you folks I don't see enough, and loosing early in the Heroclix Worlds.
Since this is my first GenCon, I was wondering if I should know anything important. The thing I've been wondering lately is, Should I order some game tickets? If so do they need to be generic or should I take the time to find stuff I really want to do and buy tickets? I don't plan ahead that well, so that is why I'm asking if I need to do this. You will need generic tickets, yes. But, if there is something in particular you are interested in then buy the event ticket now online. I vaguely recall last year that people were too late to play in the Justice League prerelease. I would not even play in the worlds tourney. You are a nice and fun guy and the types of teams you will see will probably make you want to shoot people with a nail gun.
The thing that I advise people to do is bathe and put on deodorant. People last year were not so courteous. This was evident by the odor of body funk mixed with shame that permeated throughout the convention center by about day 2 1/2. At least take a wh0re's bath and scrub your crotch and armpits.
Other than that have fun. Oh yes, and watch out for people. Most of the people their are social re-tard if not full on re-tard. They are oblivious to things around them and will walk into you. Be prepared for that.

What day are you going up? It might behoove you to grab tickets as soon as you can when you get there, well, after you get your swag bag anyway. Thursday usually isn't too bad line-wise, especially in the afternoons, so that might be a good time to get your tickets.

Two Mutant Chronicles games on Friday the 15th, a Horrorclix game Saturday night, and the HeroClix Skrull Scenario sealed event (NMN00545) on Sunday. I'm debating dropping one of the Monsterpocalypse games to play in a Dreamblade tournament on Saturday, but we'll see.
I just saw Hellboy. It was good. If I had any problems with it they were the same problems I had with the first one. But, overall I really enjoyed it.
Also, Steve, I did not realize it until I got home on Sunday but Revan has triple attack.
