Thats a good one. But, I am a fan of the Pink Pony myself. I have friend who is a barback there and some of my friends and I got to judge the ms. nude world competition about a month ago. It was a blast and a half. I do not know if you are local, but I live in Vinings which is not that close to either place. But, Mardi Gras is right around the corner. there is a girl that I went to school there. And it is always fun to see people you no in interesting predicaments such as these. I might consider changing the name or starting the "Shoe Show Clan".

That is unfortunate. There are a few harsh gals here in GA. I dated a girl once who was really crazy. She liked to be choked and bitten, etc. She also drank way too much. She was really just all around crazy. We eventually broke up. But, a few years later I found out she had killed someone in a car crash. I always wondered why she had a PO when we started dating.
Atlanta girls are interesting.

The whats are because he is a little John fan. Lil John is that fifth tier imbasile of a rapper that says what after every line of bile he spews out. If you have seen the Dave Chappelle show then you have seen him make fun of him. The skits where the guy goes to the Doctor and says ok and what to every question is Lil John.

No, it is hard to keep up with people dying here in the city. Especially, when we have had 6 people hanging off of overpasses and screwing traffic up this year. Only one of them had the brass to jump that I know of. One of the guys tryed to do it in front of his child. That's got child therapy written all over it. The thing is these people just want attention. If they really wanted to kill themselves they would pick the first Mac Truck they saw and go balling off the side.
i wanted to post my next scenario for Champions before I forget it. This will be the tourney after the Marquee. It will be a "Fastball SPecial" tournament. In this tourney characters with Super strength can throw othe characters.
They can throw:
A character with super strength for only 4 spaces.
A character w/out SS 6 spaces.
and
A Character w/out SS and with the same team ability for 8 spaces.
Plus to make this advantageous to the player the combination of throw and attack will only count as one action.
So, Colossus can fastball special Wolverine 8 spaces to BCF someone and it only count as one action.
Neat huh?
Oh yeah the point build for the Fastball special tourney is 400 pts.
If you are in the area: Come to my tourneys on saturdays at Titans off of Spring rd near Cumberland mall. Right now they are at 11:00 in the morning. As I recieve more feedback I will decide whether or not to keep this time. This saturday the tourney is 600 pts. all flyers.

;) I agree it did get old. The alcohol is still wearing off. I had to drink Vodka Red Bulls to keep me from falling asleep. Oh and the bartender at Mako's taking my shirt off and grinding me on top of the bar while giving ME a body shot helped to keep me up too.

I actually dated a chick for 6 years who a year after we broke up became a shooter girl at the pony for about 3 months. She was a Wisconsin home grown and I tried to tell her that she would hate it. But like in our relationship she didn't listen and I ended up being right.
I live in Norcross. About 10 min from the Oasis. Not a big place but it's not bad. Pony and Cheetah are the only places I go to anymore.

Derek is my name. I was only there for two games of the the last match. The one where everyone got pizzy about the Sentinels. I won a nightcrawler and dipped out. Playing for money was the worst thing they could have done as far as cheese goes.
Is the Oasis a good club. I have a buddy who met a girl at a party who worked there. Apparently she was hot and friendly. We never got around to going though.
I live in Vinings so the occasional trip down to the Pony or to Mardi Gras are fine with me.

Anyway like I said It's no Pony or Cheetah but it's got it's moments. It's kind of small not a lot of VIP's. There are a few Hot ones. I will say the best table dance I ever got was at the Oasis. Two chicks on table at the same time led too...well lets' just say some pretty hot action.

Try drinking bourbon and Ginger-ale. It will change the way you look at drinking in general. I have not drank crown since I got on my makers mark kick. The last time I had it was probably at Atkins park in the Highlands.

It's soo tempting. I need to wait cause one of the strippers last night wants to take me out and I am starting to see this other woman so I don't want to over extend myself.
I had to sit in line at the DMV yesterday for 3 hours. Luckily I was there with the best looking girl in the line. She was from Chicago and was here to get her GA liscence. The people in front of me were cool too. I do not know how people can sit in that line for 3 hours and not talk to anyone. I would drive me crazy.
But, you would think they could streamline that process a bit. I do not see the problem.

This gabrielle sounds like an interestingly permiscuous entreprneur. She has a good little scam going. It sounds like she is a little different than your average, run of the mill, barn yard variety, coked out stripper. No, that is the guy I was thinking about when you were describing me. That is not me however. I have never lost to a Sentinel team. I put a V Blizzard on there to take out the Conartists but never got to play one of those teams. I did not fair well in the tourney because I refuse to make cheesy teams and got crushed my first game. After that it was a lot better b/c there was no pressure on me winning any matches. No I have blond hair (I feel like I am trying to hook up on the internet). I think I was there with my girlfriend that day but I am not sure.

Well, come to think of it, she gave it to my friend too. But....we were screwing around one day and called it and it was her. The number is true.
We had a blast with her that night, though. She was really cool, giving us free dances and drinking with us. It was the only time I've ever been to Cheetah where I didn't feel like an open wallet.
I'm married so I'm not going to pursue it, but at least let me relish in the fantasy that "I still got it".

That is what people do not understand alot of times. There are tons of hot girls. All you have to do is go talk to them. Bookstores and grocery stores are great places to meet women. The DMV if you are lucky. Coffee houses work. I will tell you night owls something that has worked for me.
Because my schedule got completely out of whack for half a year where I was sleeping during the day and awake all night I changed my outdoor habits. I was at Kroger at 3 or 4 in the morning. When the bars let loose and girls go home, they are easily seducable by some one with a zero alcohol level.

I went on a big spending spree the last two weeks...LE Dr. Doom, Divebomber, Whitney Frost, SOD Superman, Green Goblin, Barbara Hershey, Teth-Adam, plus other I don't remember off the top of my head.

Galactus is a 400 pt. build. Outwit works on him with the roll of a 5 or 6. Psychic blast and Exploit weakness work on him with a roll of 6 only. The Galactus should be severly neutered, which is what I am trying for. The date should be the 23rd.

Nothing from Hicktown Comics. He had Hulk and Carnage but no dups. He had 2 cases sitting in the back unopened. I told him to get crackin but the store was a little busy when I went there, being comic book day and all.
Yeah, he needs to get with it. I need 4 more Uniques and I am sure he has my Iron Man :p
So on holidays they move comic book day from Wednesday to Thursday? Even though July 4th was a Sunday.

Well, many companies (incl. banks and the post office) made the 5th a holiday. Lazy people. Just because the official holiday comes on a weekend, they have to whine and get a weekday off. I sold 3 cars on Monday!
Stinks, though, I can't get to Champions early enough to get this weeks comics. Had to go to Hicktown. Decent week...Ult Spidey, Supreme Power, Loki, Uncanny, and Powers. THe DragonCon booklet is out too, so you get the rundown of who is coming if you don't know already.

I usually play out side of the tourney scene. When I do occasionally play in a tournament I play at T&T where the DPC was. I live about 5 min form there and have been buying from him for 5+ years. We have a Titans here at mall corners but I don't think they play much. It's a tiny store and T&T just kills them when it comes to gaming.

I really do not like to give T&T any of my money. The guy who owns the store is a bit of a jerk I think. There are several instances where I have heard of him yelling at people. This is not something I would personally put up with. I have played at T&T a few times though. Rocco, the judge, is an awesome guy. And Charles is a nice guy as well.
The titans over there is smaller, but I think they do pretty well as far as business goes. They do not hold tourneys though. Only the Titans here in Vinings has tourneys and I just started those.
Speaking of which; would you guys rather me hold the tourneys on another date or another time than when I have them. I would like some sort of feedback about this. If we decided to do it during the week for example, I bet we could rent out a room at the Smyrna Community Center. I believe they are open until 9:00 at least.

Well I have never seen him yell at anyone but then I'm not there a whole lot. He has only been the nicest guy when I'm in there. Always hookin me up with deals and stuff. I can see where he should yell. He gets a lot of kids who's parents drop them off and let me tell you some of these kids should be beaten.
As far as the feed back you are looking for... I have no idea what you are talking about. I don't where that Titans is or the community center.
I live in Vinings. Which if you live near T&T is on the other side of the world to you. It is right where 75 and 285 connect. I would love to have you at my tournaments if you would like to make the trip.
THe reason I asked was because last week was my first week at the Titans venue. I had a really poor turnout and was wondering if I had scheduled it at the best time.

Derek...concerning your Titans tournies...if you had them ANY other day, I could show up. I could go every other week if you had them Mon-Fri and I could feasibly go 3 out of 4 weeks if you had them on Sunday.

Here are my restrictions. I can come once maybe twice a month. I can come on Sundays until Football season starts.
Monday through Friday is near impossible for me. This is why I don't make many tourneys. Unfortunately.

Weekdays are good. Wednesdays might be good since you pick up comic books and play a tournament. It's also a great way to recruit hot chicks that read comic books but aren't familiar with Heroclix.

You would have to go 285 east. Both of my venues are out there. One is on Fridays at 6:30 at Champions Comics. The other is (for right now) at 11:00 at Titans on Saturdays. I may change the Titans time for a later time or later day.
The reason I did it at this time was for Marquee purposes. With this people could play here in the morning and somewhere else in the afternoon.
Has anyone noticed how much the Ultimates Uniques are going for on ebay.

Even the Thor which I was afraid would have silver surfer like status has gone down to the $31-$37 dollar range. The Iron man can pretty easily be bought for $20-$23. And the Hulk is about the same range. The Phoenix figure though is a huge surprise. That figure is going for between $23-$29. Is that not crazy? I would much rather have the mr. Sinister figure and you could probably buy him for about $15.
It also seems that less people I know bought cases this time and a few people I know are getting out of the game. Do you think this is due to the price increase? Or, is it possible I am harshly comparing this set to Unleashed which everyone wanted due to the huge powerhouse figures in the set?
These are just trends I have noticed. Wondered if I was the only one.

Tried to get the Thor for ya d-roc. I went back to Hillbilly Comics 'cause I was bored. I persueded to have him open the top row of one of his cases. Watched him pull Baron Zemo and Thor. I offered $20 for it but since it was his 1st, no dice. I even negotiated a trade for him, he got Magneto and Xorn for his Carnage (the guy originally offered Zemo straight up). I figured I did well for him and he would sell the Thor to me, no dice. I do have your E Colossus again, now I need one for myself.
I think the 'downward' trend may be due to set retirement. I think it's really hurting the game. People are angry they are dictated to as to which figs they can use in sanctioned tourneys. Then again, the values of LE Annihilus, Creed, and Banner haven't dropped much at all from what I've seen.
Thank you for trying. I really appreciate it. Lord knows I want that figure.
I was looking on the ebay earlier and the les are really cheap too. Wade cole and Johnie ell are going for nothing. The johny ell is not great but the wade cole is a good figure. Also, you can get a Hector Hall le for about $12 now. Someone bought one 3 days ago for $2.75. Isn't that crazy?

They didn't buy that Hector for $2.75, the reserve wasn't met. It was only a 1-day auction, something fishy about it. Most are running in the $15-$25 range, averaging at $20.
Look at the prices of items that have recently ended. They were super cheap.

I don't think that there's any doubt that Heroclix hit its peak some months ago. Just look at the players in Cobb County who are out of the game or selling their stuff. GEC hasn't seen more than 8 people at a tourney in months, sadly. Champion's never been a huge scene - I think 12 was a store best, but we're lucky to have six now.
Does anyone here still play at Dr. No's? I stopped going there about five months ago so I dunno if it's thriving at all.
I think that if Critical Mass had been released a couple of months later, with as much care and attention to the figures that has been paid to Ultimates, then things might be a little better, but WK just released too much product too close together in 2003 and the crummy quality of CM really ticked some people off.
A poor figure selection and higher price hasn't persuaded people to jump back on, I'd say, even though the pieces do look pretty good. I've bought maybe 8 boosters of Ultimates and I'm already bored with it. Two marquees and it's singles and swaps for me, I think.
It is good to see you on here Grant. People do not post on the Greatescape forum as much as they used to so I started this. I thought it would be fun and plus I have been meeting new people which is always nice. Even crazy Adam from Champions has posted on here. We racked up a crazy number of posts today for a two day old clan. It is fun because I am at school on it while Nick and Jeff are at work.
I figured this would be a good place to throw out scenario ideas and get feedback on things. And part of what I like most about clix is meeting people and talking. And I really like to talk about nothing in general. You know, not just clix. On the other site I would get mad alot so I figured it was best to post somewhere new.

I couldn't agree with you more. 2003 was a bit of a mess with Heroclix/Wizkids. Even this year with the retirement announcement has offended players. Totally understandable. It upsets me I can't use my Annihilus LE in a tournament. This game is loosing steam. I think it is hard for some people to justify the increase in price when you a paying for example, your 13th variation of Spider-man (4 IC, 1 CT, 1XP, 3CM, 4UT)
I do love this game and will continue to play it. :grin: ;) :cool:

The whole point is that I go to the Clairmont (once every two years or so) to drink, and hang out, not smear peanutbutter on my nads. I think warning people to stay clear of an establishment based on an experience that was all your own doing and choice is a bit unfair, and the Clairmont deserves better than that. Sandra Wu-San is gettting out of Heroclix. The tournament scene has ruined it for her and she is getting rid of all of her stuff. She is going to pick up VS. instead. :cry:
I guess there was a thread that she started exoplaing why but apparently the mods pulled it off the forums. Did anyone get a chance to read what it said?

The whole point is that I go to the Clairmont (once every two years or so) to drink, and hang out, not smear peanutbutter on my nads. I think warning people to stay clear of an establishment based on an experience that was all your own doing and choice is a bit unfair, and the Clairmont deserves better than that. Its the seediest place on earth man!
I do not enjoy the Clairmont at all but I was not saying do not go there. I was just telling my personal stories from that particular establishment. Go whereever you want. I enjoy telling stories. I have a lot of them and most of them are funny. Even if only to me.
It is like I left in an earlier post. It is difficult to tell a serious post from a joking one.
Plus, I was wicked drunk when I left that mean post.

Ahhhh, I have been so busy with stabbing pirates, drinking 40s, loving women, and of course clixing, that I haven't read any comic books lately :( I am thinking I need to cut back on my hobbies. I still have to read Wanted (1-4), Secret Wars(1,2), on top of eveything I purchased last week Ultimate Spider Man, LOKI!!! (this book looks sweet).

Where is everyone? It is like I am talking to myself which I pretty much am. I am leaving for Nashville today, but I am taking Liza's laptop so I can still talk on the forums and do school work. I am going to try to play in a marquee in Nashville if I can. It starts at 5:30 though and I may not get off work each night until about 8:00 or so. I will try to show up anyway just to meet new players, mingle, and network a little. My plane leaves out at 8:30 tonite. Why we are not leaving early in the morning or why they did not let us drive and pay us more I have no idea but so be it. I dont make those decisions.

Just a tale from the biz... so this goofy thin guy with a receding hairline comes in and asks if I wanted to "hold his bag." I told him I didn't money that bad and he looked around. Then he requests a Spider-Man, Cap, and Dr. Doom clix box. I told him we were sold out of Doom, then he points to Dr. Octopus and says, "you're out of DOOM?!" sigh. Then I told him all friendly like of the Friday night tournaments we have. Don't wanna brag but I think we get the coolest, non youknowwhat-hole people. He says it would be hard to get here because he doesn't live in the area. I said fine. Then he goes into how it takes ninety minutes to get here from bus, cab ,and whatever the hell. He has three other places that are closer. He'd rather go to them. I tell him that this is America, the greatest country in the world, and he can go wherever he chooses, and I was just offering, and I wouldn't slice his throat for not coming. This con is called GenCon, and from what I hear, it is THE premiere gaming convention. It's all about games, 24 hours a day for 4 days. If you click Here (http://www.gencon.com/) this will give you the complete run down. Tickets I think are still $60.00. The dates are August 19th-22nd.

Yeah, I wanted to go to WW Chicago the week before but I don't have the money. I totally wanted to meet your hot az sister in law ;) Plus, my brother lives up there now so I could visit family. Dragon-Con and GenCon (Indy) will be tough financially. I want to go to Hilton Head in August as well and I don't have that much vacation at work which is what the real isssue is. If I had a wife I would be poor, speaking from experience. The way I look at it, if I have the money, then I can go to WW Texas in the fall. I've yet to go to a Wizard World. San Diego is gonna totally rock. I can't wait to hear about it when you get back. I bet there will be lots of totally hot ninja babes :laugh:

Hello girls. It is 2 in the morning here in Nashville. There are crackheads galore up here. If you guys have ever seen weekend at Bernies 2 ( the one with the voodoo priestess where Bernie dances) then you know what these people look like. They walk like Bernie did in the movie. My buddy who is a lawyer calls them defendants. Too funny.
Uh oh, my, um pirate sense just went up. Two hot broads just showed up at the hotel. hehehehe.
The flight here only takes about 30 minutes which was cool. What was not cool was that some jackhole backed his truck into the cable that feeds power to the plane. We had to wait an hour for a repairman to come and look at it. There was a hot Asian stewardess on the plane though. But, she had a wedding ring about the size of one of my oversized testicles.
The guy who knocked the power out probably would have gotten fired but I think Delta has a Union. So, because no one was accosted and nothing was stolen he will get off with a warning.

That is the greatest thing about nashville, well that and the escort service girls with thick southern/country accents. What better time can there be then going out on the town in a city you don't live in, waking up underneath your hotel bed feeling someone hit you in the face with hammer. Top that off when weeks later you find out the charge to charlene's flowers is really a charge to an escort service that you thought you had dreamt. Going out of town is the best...

I would trade LE Xorn for almost any unique since he is a mailaway and rather easy to obtain.

Yes, for the same reason above. When the next mail away is available (Otto?), you will be able to get another Xorn as well. They always have the previous mailaways available with the new one.
