Excalibur Team

Hey guys, I have a theme match next week. Everyone has to have the same TA on their base. I've been wanting to make an X-men team for awhile and while I don't know a whole lot about Excalibur I thought it might be a cool theme w/ the release of Ultimates. It's 400 points, unrestricted:

Phoenix (Ult) 86
Psylocke 45
Captain Britain 111
Nightcrawler 83
Shadowcat 36
Wolfsbane 39

Total = 400

I know Psylocke wasn't actually a member but she is Capt. Brit's sister so it isn't that farfetched that they might team up. Wolfsbane is in there to fill in as Meggan. I know she doesn't have flight but I thought the "furry form" would represent her ok, and it fits in w/ the them. Plus I believe she was or is part of the team... I don't know how good this team would be but it'd probably be fun to play. Any suggestions or comments are appreciated. Thanks!

It is probably the best team that you can make for Excalibur. One tip is to not activate Wolfsbane. Wait until someone has damage or you push Nightcrawler for back-to-back attacks and then trade clix to heal him and activate her.

if i am not mistaken wolfsbane was part of excaliber shortly.

Hmmm....I'm putting together my own Excalibur team now that I have Phoenix.

Mobility seems to be like it'll be an issue. I'd upgrade to Vet Cap Britain for the two clicks of charge.

Then, drop Wolfsbane down to her Rookie for 28 pts. Total: 399

Or, drop Psylocke to her Experienced at 39 pts, and Wolfsbane to her Exp at 32 points to make room for the upgrade to Brian. Total: 397

I'll have to playtest, but I'll probably go for:

Phoenix
Nightcrawler
Shadowcat w/Lockheed
Cap. Britain V
Psylocke E
Wolfsbane E

for 397

The main downside is losing the healing for Brian--and it won't work for your tournament restrictions. ;) I just saw that the Vet Brian doesn't have the X-Men TA.

Yes!! this is sweet, I wanted to do this from the start, then when ultimates came out I was happy, but only Meggan needs to be created!!!

All I know about the team is this... the official six members were:

Acmite, I would definitely included V Capt. Britain IF I didn't have have to have all the same TAs. Like I said, this team may not be very good and I could definitely make a more playable team just using the X-men TA but I wanted to give this a shot.

But, mobility issues aside, I like the team you posted. It's solid.

You could probably through in Gambit to sub for Peter Wisdom.

And there were 2 other members...
A Shiar lady with armor and light powers (Sub Deathbird) and the Lion guy with the sword that could imitate sounds (Blade?)

I just looked at the Experienced Capt. Brit... he DOESN'T have charge!!!! wt...?

Oh by the way, I have the most obscure capt. brit.. I got it in the marquee.. it's horrific... I call him "Captain Scourge"

it's Rookie Capt. Brit's Dial, his figure on a flying base, but the top of the base says "Scourge" and you can even see Scourge's footprints on the base and under the flying indicator... how could they do such a thing?!?!! And if that's not bad enough I also pulled 2 Anacondas in one pack and a Rookie Wrecker who's dial is his, but base says "Beast".... worst marquee experience ever... lol

A little Elf looking wizard guy that nobody liked
Alistair...can't remember the last name, he had a twin sister who was in charge of W.H.O. No powers, he was just a guy, y'know?
A giant female version of Lockheed that they rescued from the Nazi version of Excalibur
Annd very briefly the members of Technet shacked out at the lighthouse...don't know if they were considered official members or not though.


Goken, I had a similar experience, I once pulled an E Con Artist that was so good at conning people, she thought she was an E Silver Samurai. (Con artist fig and dial, but Silver Sam. base)
