We did a tourney like this.
I'm not sure what the rules of your venue are, but the winning team used Toughness as his theme.
He had Rke or Vet. Circe, about 6 Doombots, Rke. Steel, SWAT Heavy Weapons, and some other cross-Universe Wildcards with Toughness to round out the points.
I think our point total was 400 though.

One team that did real well though and would've beat the above team had we had enough time was based on Incapacitate.

Willpower. Batman, the new Black Widow, Deathstroke, Arwyn, HDC Troopers, Jane Foster (if you can get one), Green Lantern from Unleashed, the list goes on.

Since i don't have a Jane Foster i'd have to sub in a third HDC Trooper (or borrow some E ones).

Today I played in a 400 pt tourney like this. I went with a Phasing team:

E Firestorm
E Green Lantern (Jon Stewart)
E Raven
R Doctor Fate
E Yukio

I wiped out a Running Shot team without taking a casualty, but it was partly due to luck. (His Hal Jordan GL fumbled on a clutch role.)

I lost to a Blades team, but took out everything besides his KC Wonder Woman. (She kept her allies around her as shields and lent them an 18 defense until they had softened me up.)

For a 300 point format, these guys wouldn't work as well.

I'd go with a Probability Control team. It might not have a chance of winning, but think about how fun that'd be. xD

Willpower, Incapacitate, and outwit are all very potent themes.

I won a tournament with this theme using KC Superman and E Major Maxim (superstrength) but I didn't go up against an outwit or incap team. (did play against two SS teams though, Johnny Alpha+ Fatality+ Cheetah+ Destiny+ Abby Chase+ some Spiderman or other... that was pretty heated.

No all Willpower team would be complete w/o Moon Knight and CM Elektra. Two very cost-effective pieces w/ Willpower. And if you're going to spend 90+ points on a Willpower figure, you can't go wrong w/ E Rasputin. Wildcard, Perplex, Psychic Blast.. what's not to love? Pair him w/ V Black Widow and now he can see through Stealth.

Marvel has the Heralds excluding Firelord, Vindicator, Ultimates Version Magneto, Crimson Dynamo, Iron Man, Beta Ray Bill, Thor, Deathbird, Super Skrull, Cyclops, and few others that I cannot think right now.

I would go with Willpower, Perplex, Outwit, or Charge team for more options.
