Best actor-Currently I have to go with Ewen MacGregor for his versatility and his massive amount of quality roles. All time, it's De Niro...no contest for me.
Best Villian and the movies to see them in all their evil glory-Hannibal Lecter in the Silence of the Lambs...I also love Darth Vader and Thulsa Doom from Conan.
Biggest bad A**-Ash from Evil Dead.
Best actress-Christina Ricci. I love the roles she chooses, she is always good and always looks good in a weird way.
Worst actor-There are so many but I don't know there names that well...alot of these new pretty boys like Hayden Christianson (whose name I only know because of Episode II).
Worst actress-It's gotta be a tie between Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock...the movies they do are so rotten that I can't bear to think of them in any other way.

:devious:For a lot of these I can't tell if people are voting based on fantasy encounters with these folks or actual ability-oh well here goes-
Actor-you'd have to go along way to beat DeNiro-Spacey and Hanks are great "everyman"characters.
Villian-Hannibal-Silence of the Lambs(before they made him a cartoon)-the guy is behind plexiglass and he's still the scariest movie monster ever!!!
Bad#####-Mel Gibson-from Mad Max to Payback he's the best.Throw the struggles he went through bringing the Passion to the big screen and he's a BADMAMAJAMA!
Actress-can't beat Angelina Jolie-she can do ANYTHING and look like her at the same time.
CAN'T do the worst-I'm too close to an ulcer as it is.

Bush is terrible with language.

I find it amusing that people can attempt to sway some other potential voters on here but yet the reasoning behind why is a forbidden subject. John Kerry is an internationalist and a fundamental socialist disguised as a legitimate candidate...he is the product of a counterculture of misunderstanding and cowardice...and sometimes lies. Bush is just a regular dude with a really cool job.

My List:

Best Actor: Tom Baker (Known mostly for TV work, but this man is the best ever!)

Best Actress: Peta Wilson (Everything she does is magic.)

Best Villain: Clancy Brown (The Kirgin from Highlander)

Best Bad###: Clint Eastwood (The Man With No Name trilogy)

Best Female Bad###: Michelle Yeoh (Greatest stuntwoman ever, and she can act too!)

Worst Actor: Matt Salinger (Don't see the old Captain America film whatever you do. LOL! I saw him in other things and he wasn't any better.)

Worst Actress: Julia Roberts (She always just seems to be herself. I don't dislike her, but it's like she doesn't even try.)

Most Underated Actress: Sharon Stone (When she stopped taking her clothes off, people stopped going to her movies, and that's a shame, because she's really good.

Hottest Actress: Three way tie between Elisa Dushku, Linda Carter, and Michelle Pfeiffer.

Coolest Actor I'd want to be: Either Brad Pitt or Paul McGann.

Best (disappear into the role): Kevin Spacey, Tim Roth, Gary Oldman, Johnny Depp, Russell Crowe

Worst (essentially them playing themselves): Kevin Costner, Keanu Reeves, Tom Cruise, Nicholas Cage

Fine....

2nd Best Actor: Morgan Freeman

The man is amazing.

I like the comment about actors who submerge themselves in a role.
I like John Wayne, but he is always John Wayne. Mind you, nobody does it better...

Also good (I was surprised) was Billy Bob Thronton. You compare his "Bad Santa" to Davy Crockett. He WAS Crockett

DAMMIT!

I forgot Nigel Hawthorne (Madness of King George, Yes Minister), Derek Jacobi (I, Claudius), John Hurt (too many)

New Category: Best "whoa...": Keanu Reeves

Best actor: A tie between Kevin Spacey and Robin Williams, they both do incredible things with thier roles, are diverse, brilliant, and often steal the whole movie.

Best Villian: I personally love Jack Nicholson as the Joker in Batman.

Biggest bad A**: Arnold in his prime, closely followed by Bruce Campbell.

Best actress: Nicole Kidman

worst actor: Hayden Cristiansan. He single-handedly ruined attack of the clones for me. (I. KiLLed the... wo-men. AND. The.... ChIL-dren) I'm already a far better actor than him and considering how new I am (only about 3 1/2 years) that's sad.

Worst actress: Don't really know, never paid much attention. Though Recently I'd say Halle Berry.

WHOA!!! When I said that Kevin Spacey was the best, I meant modern. If it's all time, Marlon Brando is the greatest. For reasons why, pick up the last issue of Rolling Stone. Jack Nicholson writes an arcticle about his relationship with Brando. He said that in his first film with Brando, the director had to help him get in front of the camera, because he was so nervous to be working with Brando. He said he didnt' feel like he was worthy. And this is Jack Nicholson.

If you want surprisingly good actors, rent "Requiem For A Dream". It's a fantastic movie, and Marlon Wayans gives a great performance.

Agreed....but that movie just gets under your skin and stays there...ugly stuff (except when you see Jennifer Connelly's nude lower torso). Anyway, great movie...Ellen Brunstyn was amazing in the movie....everybody was really. What ever happened to Darren Aronofsky? I was hoping someone would grab him to work on one of these new Super Hero movies.

Best actor: Denzel Washington (Ever seen him in a movie that he wasn't good in? Didn't think so.) Mel Gibson is up there, too.

Best Villian: Goveror Shwarzenegger in Batman and Robin. If that's not villiany, I don't know what is.

Biggest bad A**: John Wayne, hands down, no one else is even close. He could kick the #### out of everyone else on these lists at the same time, with a patch over one eye....

Best actress: Nicole Kidman/Jennifer Connelly. On top of being ridiculously good looking, they are excellent actress' as well.

worst actor: Don Cheadle. Words cannot express how hideous his accent was in Ocean's 11, and how badly I want to throttle the life from him every time I see him in a movie.

Worst actress: Halle Berry.

No, no anyway. I'm sold. :)

Best actor: For the sake of being different, Robert DuVall

Best Villian: What was the bad guy's name in "Bloodsport"? Just kidding, just kidding - um, I'll go with Alfred Molina, b/c his performance is still so fresh in my mind, and he really nailed Doc Ock, IMHO.

Biggest bad A**: Tie - Samuel L. Jackson ("Do they speak english in what?") and Bruce Willis.

Best actress: I have to agree on Jenna Jameson, whoever said that. :) Seriously, though - I'm digging Kiersten Dunst and Keira Knightly, these days. For their acting. yeeeaaahh.

worst actor: Tie - Seagal and VanDamme.

Worst actress: Bette Middler annoys me to no end...

Not even Mrs. Connelly could make that one better. Great movie, but you can't shake it out of your mind.

Yes, but Requiem gets my vote for best use of music in a movie, ever. That soundtrack is AMAZING. So good, they borrowed it for the "Lord of the Rings" Two Towers" trailers.

I love it too although very reminiscent of a Laurie Andersen song...anyway, best music in movies goes to Boogie Nights for me...and that's a great segway to DaLuvster's mention of Alfred Molina who is incredible in Boogie Nights...

It was done by Kronos Quartet, specifically for that movie. Written by... hmm... ah, yes, Clint Mansell.

;) yourself.

Indeed...I'm pretty sure the one I'm thinking of is the violin riff from the Two Towers commercials...you can get the original recording on Anderson's record Big Science...certainly her best work by many people's standards (myself included).

To stay on topic, I missed the point earlier about villains and heroes...I just listed my favorite movie villain and then hero.

Villain-Nicholson: The Joker and Jack Torrence.

Hero (aka Bad***): Not even a contest...it's Harrison Ford for me...he played Indy and Han Solo.

Mansell clearly borrowed the riff from Anderson...he did an incredible job with that soundtrack but the famous riff you recognize was famous first because of Laurie Anderson.

Best Actor: Bruce Willis. Well, maybe not BEST, more like favorite. He tends to gravitate towards the "everyman in an extraordinary situation" roles, and IMHO he's gotten it down to an art. Let's put it this way: he made Hudson Hawk watchable. (Well, him and Andie MacDowell. Rowr. ;) )

Best Villan: Christopher Lee / Alan Rickman. Both are masters at playing evil in its various forms, and there's just too many examples to mention. Anthony Hopkins comes very close to the top just for being Hannibal Lecter.

Biggest Bad@$$: Samuel L. Jackson. He just plain exudes cool in all his roles, most of which involve him blowing the living hell out of stuff. In addition, he's gotten proper frequent use of the f-bomb down to a science.

Worst Actor: Hayden Christiansen. Abso-f***ing-lutely ruined teenage Vader, a lynchpin for making the Star Wars saga work as a whole. "Ob-Wan's treating me like a little kid and my organization forbids me to mack on an older woman that wants me! Should I get angry and plot revenge? Nah, I'll just sit and whine."

Best Actress: Angelina Jolie. Huge tomboy and more than hot enough to get away with it. She's shown a lot more range in her roles than I expected out of her, and has even managed to make quite a few stinkers watchable (cough, Tomb Raider, cough).

Hottest Actress: Jessica Alba. ... C'mon, do I even have to say anything?

Worst Actress: Halle Berry / Hilary Duff. Who to pick: the mediocre-at-best actress who flaunts her single Oscar and failed relationship shamelessly, or the plastic-fake "Tee hee, acting is a sport!" Disney drone?

I have to honest I'm not entirely sure what song...It might have been called 'Example 22'...'O Superman' was a hit for her and it's on that record. Basically, if you liked that soundtrack you should check Big Science out.

For those of you who don't think he can act, watch True Grit, Red River, Sands of Iwo Jima, She Wore a Yellow Ribbon, and Quiet Man. You will see five different characters, that are also different from the normal western characters he was known for.

Best actor: Tom Cruise. Even if his movie sucks, his performance is solid.
Best Villian: cant remember his name, but in the old 3 muskateers movie he played the cardinal. that guy looks evil in every role he plays. how could he ever be a hero?
Biggest bad A**: Definitely goes to Bruce Lee, may he rest in peace.

worst actor: George Bush:cheeky:
