Hello all,
I was serching for Info for the Star Wars Mini's game and came accross a post on a anotehr Message board with alot of the reported changes for the New DVDs of the Origal Star Wars Movies. Inlcuiding Replacing "Old Man Vader" with Hayden Christionson. And The Shot of the Emperor in Empire is replaced with Whoever plays the current Empereor. . .The Changes are annoying to me, and I don't think he should mess with these movies. Anyway here it is.

Thanks, Jason! Cool info for the SW fanboy in me.

I kind of agree with the Heyden Christianson edit being unnecessary but everything else seems pretty cool. It always bugged me that a different guy played Palpatine in Empire. The Jabba scenes are a relief but revoicing of the Storm Troopers might end up being the biggest error. Anyway, I heard some of these rumors but thanks for the update.
I agree about the Heyden scene. If Yoda and Obi-Wan aged why wouldn't Anakin?
Unless Lucas is saying that the Jedi ghost visages look exactly like the person when they died or were last deemed to be part of the Light Side of the Force.
In this case Anakin was very young when he turned to the Dark Side.
I also heard when I was at Celebration II in Indianapolis, IN in 2002 that Lucas will explain in Episode III why the Light Side Jedi that died in Episodes I and II why their bodies didn't disappear as in Episodes IV through VI.

There are so many rumors about Episode III but I don't put any weight in them (i.e. Epidsode III may wind up with a PG-13 rating)...Lucas does have some serious ground to cover and alot of questions to answer from the real purists...this is his last chance to reward his fans and he'd better deliver. I for one, am confident he will and Epidsode III will be great.

Hmm, I could have sworn that was already explained in the novelization of E1 or E2.
Had something to do with making mental preperations or going into a trance like state before one's death. Obi had a chance right before being struck by Vader, while Yoda knew his time was near when discussing his passing with Luke.
Oh well, i'm glad i still have my laserdiscs. I just hope the player keeps working long enough so l can show the original version to my kids.
Don't worry everybody. Lucas, I'm sure, will keep adding/ editing these things till the grave. This won't be the first release of the Trilogy. It will be released many times over with something "new" everytime. The introduction of the DVD ensured that. ( and yes I will probably pick up every single "different" version he releases)
Inbetweener, I hope you're right. He has a lot to show me with this last one.
