Daredevil already argued this point unsuccessfully, apparently you don't have to be born in the US (or even on Earth, see DC next week) to be the President of HeroClix.

Ticket #3 for me. Wolvie's out, as he's not American born. ;)

id vote for spidey but i hate daredevil. i love wolvie and punisher but im anti hairy. cap and hawkeye hands down.
and some advice for teh actual election dont vote for eitehr of them! send a real message that we dont want idiots, or flip floppers as our president! what happend to great men like JFK and FDR and Reagan or Truman? are these two teh best this country really has to offer?
vote for senate or congress and local laws/inititives but when it comes to the president leave it blank! its our duty as americans to not accept the "lesser" of two evils!

May I assume there will be a DC primary?
Ticket #1:
Spider-Man (IC vet.) for President
Daredevil (XP vet.) for V.P.
Platform: Representing the common man, sticking up for the little guy.
Here we have a ticket that, in addition to its populist, "help for the average figure" platform, could also bring a tremendous aid to our foreign and homeland security policymakers -- both will be able to anticipate threats and opportunities with their amazing senses.
Ticket #3:
Captain America (ULT vet.) for President
Hawkeye (ULT exp.) for V.P.
Platform: Patriotism, anti-French Fries.
I don't know if the third ticket has noticed, but I believe their VP candidate is a convicted felon.
--to say nothing of the #2 ticket's swath of corpses in their wake...

Hmmmmm...
I think I'll vote DC this election. But for the sake of Democracy...
Ticket #1

10/08/2004, 15:06
Now, if it was ANY OTHER MUTANT, I'd go for #2. But, since I positively CANNOT STAND Wolverine, I'd have to go with.......errrr.....#3 I guess.....:ermm:
"Do you think this A on my head stands for France?"
Ticket number 1 is odd...you have to above a certain age to run for Prez (35 IIRC)
As previously mentioned, Wolverine is not even American (well, according to Canadian Content laws he is)
So, Webhead817, how about a poll as to how long before this degenerates into a VERY heated discussion?
I give it 12 hours

I say ticket 1. Only because one of them is an attorney and would therefore have a keen insight into how our legal system works and would be able to use the office to it up most potential as an instrument of good. The other one is a young progeny (also most likely not the required 35 years old needed to be sworn in but would not need to prove it as his secret identity would otherwise be compromised). Spider-man is a genius and would be able to handle anything from scientific breakthroughs to complicated economic struggles. I think that Wolvie would get bogged down and start killing the opposition party and Captain America while being a great war president doesn't stand out in any other capacity. If anything I think he might get a little too confused with the leaps in technology he has to be able to lead the country through
Ticket #3 all the way. Who would't vote for someone who calls themselves Capt. America??
Now if Cap would just cross party lines and get Sgt. Rock to run as V.P.

Whatever about Wolvie not being American born...he's got my vote...not to mention that you could put Frank Castle on a ticket with Howard the Duck and I'd vote for him.

Thanks Inbetweener!
I felt like the Lone Ranger there for awhile!
Wolvie's Bub:cool:
Sgt. Rock to run as V.P.
Sgt. Rock could be Secty of State. It would be interesting to see a good military commander as Secty of State.....Oh, wait a mininte...:p
Frank Castle would make a better Atty. General.

Anything with Batman on the ticket is going to clean up for DC.
The Punisher and Wolvie are men of action (I would totally put that as a sign on my lawn).

Since the HeroClix president has to represent not only Americans, I can't vote for #3.
#1 is the option that is closest to acceptable for me.

Ticket #3
Cap has the leadership to take us through tough times, a little ESD to block cheap shots at his office. Some Impervious to weather even the toughest stoms. Some charge to get in there and make things right. A little leap/climb so he doesn't get bogged down in a morass. Some Outwit to stay one step ahead of our enemies, a little exploit weakness to catch them with their pants down. Lastly some defend, to defend us and our ideals from all manner of anti-american attacks.
Backing him up Clint Barton brings some massive firepower to lay waste to even the toughest foes. Plus with the Ultimates team ability, you can run, but you can't hide from this American team.

Anti-french fries..................reminds me of "Freedom" fries that we had not too long ago.
What a boring afternoon. I'm looking forward to having some Freedom Toast with syrup and a glass of milk for breakfast tommorrow.

I'm voting for Captain America and Hawkeye - the only two on the ticket who are a pair of proven leaders.1

1. If She-Hulk's comic wasn't so good, I'd change my *.sig to "Cap/Hawkeye: Proven Leadership"

i can just see the debates:
[CAP] while my opponents are brave patriots of heroclix their economic platforms are nothing more than smoke and mirrors
[WOLVERINE]{ripping tie off} ill show you smoke and mirrors...{leaps at cap}
[spidey]{startels awake}...er...YES? what did i miss...
the vp debates woudl be better
[daredevil] so in conclusion i feel that a concerted effort into stem cell research would benifit...{BLAM}
[Punisher] what? he was over the 2 minute time limit by like 5 seconds!
[Hawkeye]{putting his bow away} dang beat me to it!

I'm voting for Spider-man and Daredevil.
Ticket #3 sounds too much like our current administration in real life, which I don't particularly care for.
Didn't Cap turn down the Presidency like 20 years ago?
Prof. Aragorn

We need some young blood here-that means no one that's more than 60 years old
(Cap and Wolverine)
Also, Frank and Hawkeye's lifestyles don't exactly scream female votes either. At least Spidey is married and Daredevil is widowed and currently involved with Elektra (sort of).
And you can't really trick Spidey into a contradiction-spidey sense.
You have Daredevil who's astute sense of the law would extremely help and Spidey knows that with great power comes great responsibility. He'd make a great leader.
Vote Spidey/Daredevil in 2004 the right peeps for the job! They'll represent you to get what you want out of clix-no more wolverine's or abusive and "cheesy" figures.
Ticket 1 is just like the green party-only you know, people will vote for them.
Prof. Aragorn
10/10/2004, 04:19
Say the mantra my friends-you can run but you cannot hide because Spidey sense will find you!
Do you want some wood?

10/10/2004, 04:28
I voted for #3 because I have fond memories of the issue of Captain America (somewhere around #250) where it was suggested he actually run :)
(and also the What If . . . that showed the tragic result if he had :( )
Prof. Aragorn
10/10/2004, 04:31
You don't want wood Skeevo? Why don't you just move to Cuba since you don't like Freedom wood!
Vote Spidey/Daredevil 2004
You can run but you can't hide from Spider-sense.

See, just like there's a clause in his contract saying he can appear in 50 different Marvel titles at the same time, there's also a clause saying he can run for President if he wants.

Please remember this is the HeroClix Presidential race, not the US Presidential race. :)
Just wait until Friday...I have a feeling a few aliens will be showing up in the DC Primary.
:)
I vote #3 but id rather see
Cap. America/Punisher

Why are you the only one who does polls webhead?
I voted for Cap. If anyone knows what this country needs and how to treat its citizens, it is Steve.
Well, Spidey and Daredevil seem too much like Democrats, and even though I'm for equal rights and capital Punishment, I have to go with Cap.
Anti-French is always a good platform. ;)
Prof. Aragorn
10/14/2004, 22:28
Remember folks-a vote for Cap is a vote for Red Skull.
A vote for Wolverine is a vote for those free loading Canadians (Family Guy everybody! It's cool:cool: )
Spider-man/Daredevil 2004
The right choice.
And if anything, Thugit, Caps a democrat-he was sponsored by the New Deal FDR.
Spidey's more of a Ralph Nader-the one that sounds like Darth Vader.

It's Friday: time for the DC primary!
Prof. Aragorn
10/15/2004, 08:20
But first he has to declare that Spider-man and Captain America have split to join their own party
The Kick-### party.
This party hates the French and sticks up for the Middle Class guy!
