Big, big things come to Smallville the TV Series, I think is time to begin this thread for all that.
What you think about the yestday episode with Mickael Mxptztx or werever the name is?
I like a lot the end with the hyper sonic speed think, I what Lex means with "more like you"??

I'm not sure, but I think this is the beginning of the end for poor tortured Lex.

I really cant wait for Lex to become truely evil. In the DC universan he personifies evil its about time he started acting like it.
Im really liking all these cameos this season, hope we have some more cool ones coming up.

Yes,
I think it is about time Lex took over the evil role from his father....

Does anyone think the disturbing level of homoeroticism between Lex and Clark is odd? Think about it...;)

Luthor,
I don't think they have that kind of a relationshio. I do believe right now they [Lex and Clark] do love each other but it's more of a Lethal Weapon, Harley davidson and Marlboro Man, Wyatt Earp/ Doc Hollyday type of love. You know more than Brotherly but not Birdcage kind of love.
But I gotta tell you LEx is a bad motor scooter. Can you Imagine what Clark would be like if Lionel Luthor raised him???????

They have a kid. Who is Superboy's(Kon-el) genetic material made up form?
 Really? You guys don't notice all the uncomfortable pauses and longing gazes?
Or the weirdness of the obviously older Lex pursuing a relationship with a high school kid who does heavy shirtless labour on a farm?
Lex has a file on him! He might as well plaster his room with posters! Butn he is VERY protective of Clark, (because he is all his, Mythster!) AND he gets jealous when anyone gets too close to his strapping young Adonis ...

Lex's (Michael Rosenbaum) secret experiment at Luthorcorp goes awry and causes a dangerous toxin to be released into Smallville. Those infected by the toxin, including Clark (Tom Welling), Lana (Kristin Kreuk), Lex, and Jason (Jensen Ackles) imagine their greatest fears come true and then fall into a coma. Desperate to find a cure, Clark gives some of his blood to Lex and is stunned at what Lex does with the antidote.

ooookkkk.
Back to topic, what about the Legion??

If the Legion appearance is anywhere near as good as Kid Flash, I will be very happy. Kid Flash was AWESOME. So to will be the Legion.
I hope Saturn Girl, Cosmic Boy and Live Wire show up. Chemoloen would be cool but too hard for the show to swallow.
An while we are at it, The whole "Countess" past life story better end real soon. I see a shark swimming in the water...as in "Jump the Shark."

In the first episode, (correct me if I'm wrong) their was a newspaper headline "Themiscarian Warrior meets with pope in Vatican City." I would like to see a pre-justice league with flash, batman, wonderwoman, Martain Manhunter, and a green lantern.

ok, the last week the Margod Kidder character die!
The last week the best characteres from DC was riped (Deadman as a girl!)
and now this weak Zatanna is a boy?!
Is just me or Smallville is copyng the best characteres in a bad way the last mont?

Are you sure that your "Zatanna" wasn't, say, Zatara, father of Zatanna/son of Zatanna? Hmm.
I don't like Smallville ever since the whole Jor-El flashback thing, where a young Jor-El fell in love with an Earth woman and all that. I think the writers are really desperate for stories now, and it shows. :(

I love that episode, for me was a brilant idea made Jor El like a advance boy scout from the space, because he was on Earth before he CHOISE the Earth as place for Kal El.

I'd love to see a travelling Bruce Wayne as a kid appear. It's supposed to be at this time that he is making his world travels in his training. I know Smallville isn't exactly "worldly" but maybe in Bruce's quest to become a detective he would be intrigued by all the strange goings on in Smallville. And the idea of Bruce and Clarck together for an episode or two would be cool.
As much as I love this show and never miss it I have always had one trragic problem with it. They have Lex and Clark "grow-up" as close friends. The problem is that Lex knows a Clark without glasses. So you mean to tell me when he gets older and actually becomes Superman, and Lex if the evil genius that he won't recognize the glasses-less Superman as Clark Kent? That Clark is going to physically change in his face that much?

OK.
Ive heard nadda about the LoSH appearing, but I sure as heck hope they do. The ep. "New Kids in Town" from Superman TAS would be a great model for it.
The DP headline in Ep. 1 was "Queen Industries CEO missing, presumed dead" then a bit about a plane crash.
...
C'Mon! Its Olliver QUEEN, aka Green Arrow.
The one about Thymescara was I think concerning a historic meeting at the Vatican. Possibly Hypolita getting a feel for the modern world before Dianh's big trip..
Sorry, I watch the show religiously and pick it up on DVD usually release day. Yes, I know, huge dork. But it is the ebst comic book based live action show yet. Also, minus a few stumbling points (Lana Lang: teenage witch being a big one) the best Superman origin story yet.

in the comics Lex know the identity of Superman 2 times!, but he don't bealive that information, he think in Superman and he can't imagine Superman with another identity.
In the Smallville Universe this can happen, Lex can know who is Superman. I can accpet that, in Smallville we have a lot of changes but always is for the best (ok, not always, but I love the Jor-El on earth, the meteorito rain, the Jor El bad, and a lot of small big changes.)

Oh yeah, and..
The Kid Flash episode was in fact the Bee's Knee's. Soooooo good.
The Mxy' episode was also pretty darn good. Not all it could have been, but a great establishing shot for Supermans 5th dimensional nemisis.

Alright. Since someone else brought it up..
Lex knowing about Clark.
Or.
How did he hide it so well with a pair of glasses?
Lex knows. Well, he strongly suspects. He never forget, he never gave up. he tried to be Clarks friend, so he kept it on the DL. He obsesses just like his dad, and he doesn't ever forget.
When Clark makes his big debut in the costume, Lex will know for sure. No question. Thats Clark Kent in that big red cape. He'd have to be half as smart as people think he is if he didn't.
Now, he'll never say anything. And more importantly he won't do anything with the info. Now, here's my theory why..
You can say all you want about friendship and Lex wanting to be good deep down. Deep down he is, and a friends a friend its true. But before all else Lex is a pragmatist. Lex would realize that sure, he could kill the Kents. He could hold Lana hostage, or kill her. He could wipe out the Daily Planet, Perry, Jimmy, Lois, everyone. Like it was nothing. But why? Clark thinks of himself as a human being, because thats what he knows. Thats who raised him, thats who he loves, thats who loves him. Take that away and he's not human. Take away all he has and you have the most powerful being on Earth.. with nothing to lose.
Thats a scary thought.
My theory though, take it as you will.

So is that Jason dude's mom Morgan Le Fay? Thats my guess... else that angle is getting pretty boring...
dead_celebrity
04/30/2005, 01:56
That was my guess. Which makes Jason Mordred, which would hopefull make him interesting.
This last episode doesn't rule that possibility out..
My ultimate dream for that story arch would involve resolution and help for Clark in the form of a certain dapper, red-headed, english man. One that has a "better half".. who speaks in ryme.
Ah, to dream..

Very reasonable. Also, there's not really any challenge in ruining Superman's human life, if the challenge is how to defeat Superman. This is kind of like Red Skull knowing who Captain America is, but not killing him as Steve, because that wouldn't be any fun.
dead_celebrity
05/03/2005, 14:47
Exactly.
For any number of reasons, Lex would never use that info.
At best it simply makes the game less fun, at worst it makes Superman homicidal/suicidal..
-R
I like that theory, but that doesn't explain why Lex wouldn't secretly make Clark's life interminably difficult. Ruin the Kent’s credit so they can’t keep up the farm. Set a stalker on Lois. Keep canceling Clark’s credit cards (Say that 5 times fast..)
Les is not so much ruining his life, as making it really really difficult. And thus distracting him from his superheroics. All that could be done without Clark knowing that someone is doing this stuff on purpose.

If I were Lex, I'd find that WAY too boring to be worthy of my villainy. And his fight isn't really with any of those people, it's with Clark. And remember, he doesn't necessarily want to kill Clark either, the evil Lex wanted him to join him to rule the galaxy together as father and son...wait. Nevermind. But you get the idea.

Clarks a smart boy. Investigative Reporter, remember? Besides, that really wouldn't have much impact on the bigger picture stuff, so in the end its like sicking a few flies on a rhino. That sort of meager harrowing isn't really Lex's style.

I still have not seen it (Ageless).
Sadly, this season started out soooo strong. However Its also had some fairly mediocre episodes.
I doubt if the LoSH will be used, but if they are it'll be next season. They (the producers) already said they are planning to use some more DC characters. Just have not said who.
I am looking forward to the finale of this season however. Hopefully more of Clark flying, him finally telling Lana, and the friggin' Fortress of Solitude.

Ageless sucked. I REALLY hate pointless episodes! Although an exploding pregnant lady did make me chuckle... and it reminded me of the Phoenix...
I liked the Impulse episode the best. I thought it was cool that they brought Margo Kidder into the show, but it seems they killed her off the week before the Pittsburgh Comicon. Guess if I had seen that episode when it aired and not a week before I would have made it to her panel... LAME.
Introducing Lois... well I could go on and on about whats lame...
I do think that Lionel is going to throw us a curve ball... acting all evil but with
truely good intentions in mind (like helping the Kents out, Lex gets pissed and eventually has him killed) just my thoughts...

anybody know why the Margot Kider character was killed in the series (I mean was a problem between Kider and the producers???)

I did not like the fact that this weeks episode was just like something from season 1 or 2, at the end of the weeks before last, it seemed like Clark was gonna tell Lana who and what he is, and I for one would welcome that. But nope, they made it like he never told her that “this time it will be different” I thought after the kid blew up Clark would tell her, or that she would have enough sense to know that something is amiss. And why didn’t all of Clarks clothes get vaporized?????
