My father works with someone who just found an old copy of The Phantom comic. She would like to get a value for it. Does anyone have any idea of a place she could take it to in the Rockville/Gaithersburg, Maryland area to get a value on it? I thought there was also some place you could send books to get graded. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty much any comic book shop worth their salt should be able to tell you what condition your comic is in, and should probably be able to give you an apporoximate value for it.
A quick glance in the current Overstreet Price Guide says that there have been 7 series titled "The Phantom" and he has appeared in 8 other titles (like Ace Comics, Future Comics and Harvey Comics Hits, to name a few).
CGC grading is kind of expensive, takes a while, and is really only worthwhile for very rare comics or very valuable ones.
