I am trying to catch up on a few movies this month. I saw Bourne Supremecy, Dawn of the Dead and just last night the Punisher. I liked Bourne Supremecy was pretty okay, Dawn of the Dead was less interesting and The Punisher was flat out ####. (Frankly I think I liked the Dolph version better and I hated that movie)
I still want to see a few other movie but I thought I could get some opinions and maybe keep from repeating The Punisher fiasco.
So what did you think of:
Chronicles of Riddick
King Arthur
Troy
Resident Evil 2
Aliens vs Predator
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow
Blade 2
Blade 3
Thanks in advance. I should mention that these are the type of movies my wife refuses to watch with me, so I miss them in the theatre (sad huh) and end up watching after she goes to bed. She is a super light weight when it comes to violence and sex in movies, of course it is her innocence that makes her so darn cute :)
Anyway I am really on curious about violent or action movies as she and I get the other types of movies together (like Napoleon Dynamite, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Dodge Ball)

King Arthur was OK. Plenty of beatiful crimson bloodshed.
AVP could have been better...mebbe...
Sky Captain was flat out ####. It was a 90 minute setup for one joke.
Go see the Kill Bill movies. They will rock your world and boggle your mind!!!
My picks:
Night of the Dead
Dawn of the Dead
*NOTE*
Get the ORIGINAL George Romero versions. You will love them both.
Evil Dead
Evil Dead 2
Return of the Living Dead
Freddy vs. Jason
Hidden Fortress (the movie the original Star Wars was based on)
Clerks
Chasing Amy
Jersey Girl
Dogma
Mallrats
An Evening With Kevin Smith
The Hitcher
I Know What You Did (b&w old movie)
Kill Bill (both 1 & 2)

I have seen the Kill Bill movies and you guys are right, they were awesome. I saw all the Evil Dead movies back when I was in college. Seen all the Kevin Smith movies except Jersey Girl. Seen all of Tarantinos stuff including Four Rooms (which I know was only 1/4th his). I heard Donnie Darko was good but haven't seen it.
So St-Dumas you got any sites I can look up Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy on? I read the book (and it's sequels) many years ago and am excited to hear a movie is coming (I think there might have been one once but I am not sure)

Sweet. Oh, and another movie is Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story
Here are my personal faves (in no particualar order).
1.Clockwork Orange (trippy movie)
2.Fight Club (awesome movie, also trippy)
3.Pie (the math sign, not the food).. (trippy movie)
4.Memento (trippy movie)
5.Royal Tennenbaums (great movie, funny yet sad)
6.Life Aquatic (see above, both wes anderson films)
7.The Godfather (greatest mob movie ever)
8.Anchor man (hilarious)
9.Cable Guy (comedy)
10.The Truman show (comedy, drama?)
Kill Bill 1/2 are also very good.
I have yet to see donny darko, although I own it and everyone says its awesome.
Movies NOT to see
1.Riddick, just a typical sci-fi action movie.
2.Saw, my god this movie was awful. It started out ok, but towards the middle and end the whole audience was laughing at how dumb this movie was. Watch se7en instead.
3.Blade 2...BIG DISSAPOINTMENT!!!!!!!!! Movie sucked bigtime compared to the first.

Well, for tradition, I really should wait for the 42nd post...ah forget it.

Oh, and there was no Guide movie. There was a British TV and Radio show, but no movie.
personally i liked blade 2 more than blade 1.
the first movie was full of effeminate, gq vampires. they weren't menacing at all.
the second movie had menacing, visually interesting enemies.
the reavers are imo really cool, the blood pack are all pretty much throwaways...
but nomak shines, excellent main bad guy, great final fight sequence.
haven't seen blade 3 yet, but i hear they go back to the pretty, l.a. trash-chic vamps.
i'll probably pass.
(and punisher wasn't nearly as bad as the dolph version..... it helps to go into having low expectations. and i live near tampa, so my friends and i have more jokes to tell when we watch as opposed to someone who's never been.)

A good movie your wife might enjoy as well as yourself:
DIGGSTOWN
Just look for it, rent it and have a great 1 1/2 hours. You will not regret it.

Heavyweights.
Ben Stiller's only worthy performance. >.>
Chronicles of Riddick= Good
King Arthur =Good
Troy= Good
Resident Evil 2= good
Aliens vs Predator = Ok, could have been better
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow = Had and have NO desire to see it
Blade 2 = decent
Blade 3 = Best of the Blades IMHO
Movie that is pretty good if you want sword fights and kung fu and your wife will like it also...
