Spider Woman (Jessica Drew)

I've almost completed my mod for Spider Woman (the webbing under her arms is taking some time). Now that she's nearly done, I'll be sharing some pics of her as soon as I can. however, what I'm really interested in is are any of you familiar with her powers and abilities? I know she has the Venom Blast, can stick to walls, and some super strength, but what I didn't know is that she can fly. I always assumed she was a leap/climber or a glider at best, but in the newest issue of The New Avengers (#2) she specifically tells Foggy Nelson that she can fly. She says it might take her a few tries but she can fly. So the ultimate question is what base do i use her on, or do I just have to make a custom base?

Jesica is a must have in my shot collection of 200 characteres in heroclix, I hope Marvel made this clix soon, dont know a lot about the powers :ermm:

Id say customize her base...im in the process of Scarlet Spidey right now, and Im customizing his base...he created impact webbing, and webstingers...plus im gonna make him a defender, cause he ran w/ dr. strange and the secret defenders for a while....a long while..

Okay.. that's a start, Venarnage. It may be the only option I've got, as I'd like her to be an Avenger.

Thanks for the page, Wyldstaar. The only problem is that it doesn't say a thing about her flight powers she very clearly says she has in New Avengers #2. Hmmm... I guess I'll wander over to the Avengers Message Boards and ask around.

By the way, Carlos, that image is the cover shot from Spider Woman #1 (April, 1878). I remember it as one of the very first comics I ever read, so Jessica has a very special place in my own comic history. I can't wait to finish her now so I can show her to you. Just finished the left webbing underarm, waiting for it to dry.

Oh, yes. Any thoughts on her dial specifically? Range 4. The flying is still up in the air. If she flies, we'll avoid Leap/Climb. But what else? Is her strength level high enough it warrants super strength?

she would have SS, but give her leap climb, because shell be alot less effective if someone plays crosswinds, unless you give her a high movement and charge, and make sure she gets some Energy Explosion for that bioelectric power of hers.

I'd imagine, she'd only have a few clicks of super strength (if at all). I've noticed some of the earlier spidey's don't have it and they may be on the same strength level. Maybe her first two clicks will have SS and then give way to energy explosion. LC? Cool. With flight, which I'm now finding out she does indeed somehow possess, she'd be a monster, though I'm not sure her attack value would ever be above a 9. Maybe she starts with a 10.

An update on her progress. She's taking a bit longer than I like, but I've finished both under wings now and all I've got to do is finish the touchup on her hair and paint. I'm really digging this sculpt, and when I do post her, I'll be sure to post some good picks. This is going to be very cool.
