OK, I've done some quick searching but haven't found anything.

How do you play online? Is there a FAQ I can read that explains everything to me?

I know you need a numbered and lettered map, where do you get them from? And is there a program that will keep track of where all the pieces are? I know lots of people play online, but I've had difficulty finding an faq that explains it all. Thanks.

A lot of people here play on creation matrix, http://www.creationmatrix.com/forum/index.php?showforum=136
I've been meaning to also, but I'm afraid I'll get my butt kicked. Also, some people play games on this site, but CM has the team arranger and map and all that. And also you could play over AIM, using the chat's dice roller.

The numbered and lettered maps are at Creation Matrix, like Goblin said. I play both on that site and here, usually wherever I can find someone to pick up a game. Creation Matrix's die roller is convenient, as is their Booster option to let you draw random booster pulls.

I used to find the teambuilder on this site under My Realms was a lot more convenient than the figure manager on Creation Matrix, but it got seriously messed up a few months ago - there are certain figures you just can't add to your team (including any figure with a TA that isn't among the original two dozen or so Marvel and DC teams) - and there doesn't seem to be any inclination to fix it anytime soon. It's still useful, but you have to keep up a window for My Realms and then another for Units to get the stats on any of the figures you can't add. I still prefer it to the figure manager, since you can't save the team there between sessions online and must set it all up again each time.

I encourage you both to try it out. It's a lot of fun, especially if you don't get a chance to play a lot in a more conventional setting. Most of the experienced play by posters are more than willing to help out a first timer with questions. (The Play By Post forum is where you'd post here to find an opponent.)

Also, I am working on a program that lets you actually move your figures and play like you would in real life. Check the Project HC forum, its the HC: Online topic, well the News & Updates one is where some of the screenshots have been posted. There will be another shot available later this week if I can get to it. :D Have fun!
