Did you get to play in a Local level Invitational Event? How did you do? How were your pulls? Here's an opportunity to brag (or weep) about your event!

I judged my event!

I pulled my 4th dang Neferia. First time I actually got him in a sealed game, and the first time I used him. In the final round I lost to my brother after he outwitted my Imperv and knocked me out of HSS. Luckily, he had already lost a round and I ended up eeking out victory by points alone. Not my most sterling win but I'll take it.

The best part is I picked up the Frank Castle LE and a guy at my venue who gets 3 cases a set needs him. I'll be able to trade Frank next month for one of the Legacy uniques he has an extra of.

GL ripped me up, twice

but all was not lost, i pulled BlackQueen U, and the judges daughter pulled a U Thor, so i let her pick out 3 boosters of her choice for the trade, her dad approved so i didn't rip her off or anything, and she liked what she pulled

I played, but did not win. The team I lost too had Loki, Vet Blink, Vet Havok, and Rookie(?) Blade. I killed Blade and had Loki, Blink and Havok each 3 clicks from death, but I missed all of my attacks at that point.:(

Oh well, I hope to clean house at the Regional.:classic:

At my venue one player pulled Count Nefaria - he was a younger player and only won one of his 3 matches.

Another older and much more skilled player pulled Gladiator. He won 2 matches, but eventually lost the winner who pulled Black Queen.

I did not realize Black Queen was such a good piece, but apparently she is real good in sealed MM. Although the Gladiator player did take her out with Firestar's poison after losing Gladiator.


I had 12 players turnout and none of them were at all even remotely interested in the Invitational Championship. They all just like playing HeroClix.

I had a hard time hitting a team that had Vet Swamp Thing and Vet Flash, But I managed to kill em off.

I won my event - it was the first tournemaent I've ever won in 2 years of playing, pretty cool. I pulled a Loki and my 3rd Donald Pierce (if anybody needs one please let me know!). My team was Loki, E Havok, R Havok, R Skullbuster, and R Wildchild.

Loki did pretty good - I didn't think he was all that geat but I was impressed.

300 exactly and tough to beat in sealed play. Biggest headaches were E-Green Lantern (Hal) and a double Northstar team.

My wife didn't fare too well, even though she pulled a U black queen and a U bastion. lack of TK killed her.

On Sunday, I won our Local event with a team consisting of V Polaris, V Vertigo, V Skullbuster, E Wildheart, and R Bishop. We only had four players at our event as one of the peopole who normally plays had won a local qualifier earlier in the week. The only uniques that were pulled were Black Queen and Bastion, both by the same player.

You would think WK made this poll. Like a WK poll it suffers from the problem of only letting you vote in one category and thus the results are meaningless.

What if you played in one, got Fellowship and then played in another and won? What if you Judged one and played in another?

This poll doesn't account for that sadly. :(

not a lot of people showed up to my local event because there was another one going on

but i still won

200 points sealed and vindicator, e domino and e princess python was enough to win

best piece pulled was v soldier x which i pulled also, but opted for the flyer

so i'm pretty happy hopefully i do good in the regional

Not that great a team, but Wonderman was a beast! and I actually used Fastball Special in the last round when Wildheart was on his best click.

First game was the roughest, The 2nd game I would have easily won, but I forgot all about victory points as my untouchable and overconfident Wonderman ruled the board, but for no reason I moved harpoon[on his last click] right next to Domino [on her last click] right after I hit Domino INSTEAD of taking out Green Lantern{on his last click}!! Domino then Ko'd Harpoon and I lost by 11 points!!

Talk about giving a game away. Luckily he lost next round and I won with points by a margin of 219!

My tournament was over by the end of the first round. My score..... 0. The judge and a fellow player looked at my booster pulls, and we all agreed that what I had was garbage.

My opponent had a very good team, but if it's one character that I'm going to have nightmares about, it's going to be...

I played in mine, and started to get discouraged after my first rare was R Wolverine (does anyone like this piece?), my second rare was R Deadpool(alright, at least it was Perplex), so I was hoping to get a U or something good in my last box, and Tandy Bowen lived up!

Here was my team:

V Puck
V Vanisher

10 players showed, and I went 4-0. Every round I played against someone with TK, whether it was Blink or Polaris, and took them all out every time. Tandy was huge with her R/S 3 damge PB, All Deadpool did was hang out in stealth and Perplex, but it came in super handy. Bishop attacked, outwitted Super Senses and TK like crazy, and Regenerated after taking his damge. Blade with Willpower was surprisingly useful. He ended up Regenerating 10 clicks of life back throughout the tournament as he would generally base an opponent, forcing them to push or be sliced. Puck was huge with his high AV agaisnt high DVs like V Polaris, and charging around corners. Even the Vanisher won me a game by just standing in front of a Polaris long enough to block her line of sight long enough to keep her fully charged LE Sasquatch from getting into the fray until it was too late for the other figures.

In 4 rounds, I went over 2200 points and only lost my V Vanisher in 3 games. Then I got to trade for a Gladiator and a Loki afterwards! A great clix day!

I judged one, played in three, and took Fellowship in two. Though in both cases, there were only three people so we were all quaranteed to get a prize. And the one I Judged only had two. The other one I played in had ten, but the Judge said it was a fluke because only he, myself, and the Jugde's brother knew it was special qualifier event. Eight of the players had no idea what was going on until they got there.

There was one other qualifier in Indianapolis. I don't know how it did.

I won my local event. My question is how do you then get set up to play in the regional event? When do you get the invitation to play?

It was an interesting day. I took a heavy hit from a gladiator but managed to take him out and the veteran vertigo and puck that was also on the team with a team that had Nastrith, v bishop, v blade and r blink. I went undefeated for full points in all rounds and only lost bishop in the round with gladiator.

I played in two evens.

First one, against my better judgment I play Loki, and lose, badly.

Second one, I pull ANOTHER Loki, and decide not to play him. I get taken out by... a Loki team.

Aargh!

Played in one event pulled U Bastion,won fellowship but was th second last to pick a prizet,my team was U Bastion E havok e vanisher E cloak R silver sable and robbie robertson.Got danny ketch.

I faired okay I got fellowship (I am still not sure why) and a second Daniel Ketch LE. Pulled a Narya and a Baron Zemo. Overall I enjoyed it and I am still suprised by the winner.

2 phasing outwitters was pretty tough. And i had never used vet lobster johnson before, but he's a beast!

I won my event with Bastion and experienced Skullbuster. They all had help from rookie Polaris, rookie Cloak (With Passenger), and rookie Vertigo.

Flash Thompson helped no one, as I never once did anything with him.

Yes! I didn't get a chance to play in any local events, but I'm extremely interested in the WW(LA) championship. I know that is is possible to play [at WW], but I'm not exactly sure what it entails (admission, obviously)... :confused:

I won with the following (all pulled from the same booster!):
N'astirh, V Dagger, V Wildchild, and V Skullbuster. There were only four people, and I lost one round to a team of Fantomex, V Domino, R Deadpool, and a Blink, but ended up playing him again in the final. Ended up with Dagger vs Domino, both on their second to last clicks. We basically just rolled until someone got hit, and the dice went my way. Dagger was nice, N'astirh would have been better if there had been less stealth and battle-fury, and Wildchild and Skullbuster destroyed all in their path!
Oh, and I really hate Domino now. Everyone at the tourney pulled one but me!

I was the only person to pull a unique, and I pulled 2... Donald Pierce.

At my first event, the best player pulled an Ult. Thor. I pulled a rock.

At the second event, the kid who showed up late, didn't have any money to buy booster (I donated $12!!) pulled monstrously well. I pulled a rock.

At the first event, I lost all three games. At the second event, I beat the kid, and lost to everyone else.

I've got to start working on my pull strategies!!

I won my local event I didnt pull anything good but I did make a very well rounded team a little cheesy with double perplex HSS (with a R jesse quick though) It was cool I beat my friend (the best clix player ive ever seen) in the last round for the win it was good times.:)
