Caw,

It will be hard to top the turnout and play quality of our Mutant Mayhem pre-release, but I think the Legacy figs just might make that possible.

We'll start the pre-release at noon, and three rounds later we'll have the top 16 enter the Regional playoffs. They'll be joining the local qualifiers. It should be fierce.

Important! The regional playoffs are scheduled to be open restricted/constructed/300pts, and Legacy figs are not yet legal. This will be a true test of your skills. First you must advance through sealed team building, then succeed with pre-crafted brilliance.

There are no restrictions other than those imposed by WizKids (i.e. no retired figs, no mods).

Look out for those Trick Shotting Amazos.

So, in summary. Bring your 300pt. constructed team and make it to the playoffs for the chance to use it.

Loads of prizes!

Hey, local qualifiers. It might be a good idea to contact me at [email protected], so I know you're coming. WK has promised a list, so I know who to expect, but it's best to be proactive. Thanks. That email address is good for general questions too.

Thanks! See you there!

Caw,

It's this weekend, and with most of the stats up today you should be able to prepare for the sealed portion. Who are you hoping to pull?

Joker?

Hey Local Winners,

SuperGENE will be judging a side "zero" flight for any local qualifier champions that are interested. It's only fair that everyone gets a chance to play with their new Legacy figs! While the others compete in the regional's swiss rounds, you'll have the opportunity to warm up for competitive play that takes place afterwards in the single elimination matches.

Let us know if you are interested in participating in this event! Either post here or contact [email protected] You don't have to pre-register for the "zero" flight, but letting us know in advance will help us get a better idea of how to set things up.

Your general entry fee will cover participation in the "zero" flight, so you get your 3 boosters and a purple for the same fee as everyone else. If you want to play, show up on time as the event is expected to begin the same time as the main event.

If an opportunity to get an early look at a potential opponent in the second round isn't enough of an incentive, then consider that there should also be prizes available for the winner of this side flight. I'm really looking forward to the pre-release and hope everyone has a great time! Again, let us know if you are interested!

For directions to the location, etc, visit www.kingsgames.com

Regards,
SuperGENE

Ummm your kidding right?

I have had the privilege to play SuperGene during
all the pre-release and masterpiece events in Brooklyn and I have nothing but good thinks to say about him.

He is a fair and knowledgeable player
who is a gentleman whether he is winning or losing.

Now if your just afraid to play against him that
an ENTIRELY different story.

Unfortunately I can assure you that every regular player
at KING GAMES is a world class player, but sadly there can be only one.

See you all tomorrow!!!!
-Rich

P.S. Are there any safeguards to make sure people who go to a pre-release on Saturday in MA or elsewhere dont lose and then come and try to use thier "free pass" tp the finals a second time on sunday in Brooklyn as well???

All are wanted, and that goes double for the Supergenes amongst you.

As to your PS, Rich, there doesn't seem to be a proviso for this, but I don't see anything to say your free pass can't be used at more than one pre-release. I will look into it.

The safeguards I wish were in place are the ones preventing the MA people coming down and saying things like, "That's not how we did in in MA! The tables were brown in MA! The judge handed out dates and raisins in MA! We're supposed to get a purple figure for each booster, they did it that way in MA! At the MA pre-release they hired the Eagles to do a concert while we played! The store owner rubbed my back between rounds in MA! The top 20 made the playoffs in MA! There was an ice sculpture of Uatu the Watcher in MA!"

This is going to be some kind of massive tourney, btw. As of Thursday, thirty people have already pre-registered.

All are welcome, and that goes double for the MA players amongst you.

See you there!

ooh, I didn't know about this. I would have used my free pass in MA yesterday!

I don't think I could have done this ~ I think MA & NY are considered different "Regions".

"We're supposed to get a purple figure for each booster, they did it that way in MA!" -Well, THEY DID!
