Thanosied Vs. Dr. Doomsday


Anyone remember these two from the amalgam verse DC and Marvel did a while back? Here's a refresher:

Thanosied is made of the combined beings of Thanos the Mad Titan and Darksied, Lord of Apokalyse, two of the greatest and most evil beings in their respective universes. Wielding Omega beams and the powers of Thanos, surely a force to be reackoned with.


In the opposing corner, is Dr. Doomsday

The unmatched, unceasing power of Doomsday welded to the genius and will of the feared Victor Von Doom, Dr. Doomsday does not merely wield two similar powers combined, but the two most pure forms of power in the form of pure strength and mind in villany. With Doomsday's strength, bone spikes, and regeneration, as well as Doom's mind, planning, technology, and... power armor (hey, I guess he wanted extra psychic defense and the ability to fly, plus even more ranged attacks), truly a force to be reckoned with.




So, between these four, er, two Titans of combat, with a 5 minute warning of who they're facing and the generalities of their opponent's powers, who wins?

Hmmmm, was Dr. Doomsday from the Hunter/Prey level Doomsday, or just simply the Doomsday that killed Superman?

If its the Hunter/Prey, Im near immune to Omega Beams and can physically level Supes, Manhunter and Orion at once, Im going Dr. Doomsday.

Vast resistances against Thanoseids main form of attack (Omega Beams) not to mention the Loads of other powers this beast and super genius wield together, I think would defeat a combined Thanos/Darkeid more than not.

Thanoseid seems to simply take each of their existing powers and doubling them, Dr. Doomsday is creating a whole new aspect to both characters. A massive will and intellect in a being that is nearly unstoppable to begin with.

Hmmm...interesting. I think I will have to go with Dr. Doomsday aswell. Doomsday with the mind of the (not so) good doctor...scary.

Although that's true DTM, keep in mind Doomsday has never encountered Thanos's powers before, and the two powersets of Thanos and Darksied are actively meshed (meaning, Doomsday's immunities wouldn't be quite as effective against Thanosied's omega beams as they are Darksied's due to the greater and slightly altered power).

True, so he wont be as immune to the Omega Beams, since they will be merged with the Power Cosmic, hes still be half immune (so to speak) and thats not even counting Doomsdays already massively thick and durable hide. Not to mention neither Thanos not Darkseid can fly, and Doomsday is much faster and more agile than both of them, even combined.

Dr. Doomsday wins this fight, hes too strong and too smart. Doomsday has proved that darksied alone is no match for him, so i dont think the almagons will be any different.

Remember, Dr. Doomsday, power-wise, is almost exactly Doomsday in power, with a few more abilities and a brain.


Thanosied, on the other hand, is actually much more powerful than either Thanos or Darksied, physically and energy attack-wise (and he does have his New Genesis tech on him, and the combined minds of two great plotters).

I'm thinking that Thanoseid takes this match. Darkseid is bad news, and I typically consider Thanos to be even worse, so the combination of the two is just devastating. Dr. Doomsday was a really cool character, but remember, the Colossus character (can't think of his name) was hanging with him HTH. You should keep these Amalgam matches going Q. I wanna see Dark Claw vs. Super Soldier, Hyena vs. Lobo the Duck, etc.:grin:
