Imagine a room with 40 people in it. The room is large, airtight, and made of solid steel. It has enough oxygen to sustain everyone in the room for 24 hours. No one can leave or enter this room.
On one end of the room is a canister of Joker's patented laughing gas, which, when inhaled, causes the person who inhaled it to laugh uncontrollably... until he dies of laughter.
On the opposite end of the room is a canister of Scarecrow's patented fear gas, which, when inhaled, causes the person who inhaled it to see his worst fears manifest before his eyes... until he dies of fear.
So lets experiment: If both canisters were opened at the same time, what would happen to the people in the room?
