X-23 - Rated 8 - So X returns to base despite being left for dead. Her mom comes to realization she LOVES her daughter. She takes her to her sisters to help her find her missing daughter (with X's help). They then return to base but it looks like mom might get fired or worse. At the end the evil director guy gets the head guy to sign everything over to him then sicks X on him and his family... uh oh. Good read despite being a Wolvies clone but her completely differnt personailty really helps... well until she's shown to go "berserk" like Wolvie used to in the X-books.

AoA #5 - Rated 8 - Erik exaplians how he saw the Phoenix before the bombs dropped and then how Sinister showed p and told him about Jean not being dead. The team then decides to go get Sinsinister and rescue Jean. When they arrive Sisnister has backup... one of them being Dark Phoenix! Uh oh! I bet Wolvie talks her down or kills her all the time proclaiming his love or something while the rest of the team fight Sinister and the rest.... hmm hmm?

Spider-Man #12 - Rated 9 - Spidy starts to lose his fight with Nrman but Ock shows up and helps fight GG. In the end a bolt of lighening strikes both Ock and GG and they fall into the river. PEter saves MJ but realizes he loses May.... until he realizes that GG gave hima hint as to her whereabouts... he goes and saves her and everyone is happy! We then find out that Norman is trying to "help" Peter become a better person and actually means no malice to him... if you read The Flash it's just like the Zoom/Flash thing. "I have to hurt him to help him" more or less.

Secret War #4 - Rated 8 - Huge ### battle! Near the end "someone" whows up and plans to blowup New YOrk because of something Fury did to her in the past. Since we dont know that that is it came off as somewhat confusing. Still all the fighting was cool. Especially when the F4 showsed up!

Spectacular Spider-man #26 - Rated 7 - Final issue I believe. Spidy returns to the mansion and saves MJ from the brother who flies off on his gobby glider. Peter then swings off and convices Sarah not to shoto a drug dealer who has been after her. She then agrees to help the government in return they will help her and her brother with thier disease. Ah so sweet and nice and tity.. aside from the crazy goblin brother out there being crazy.

Pulse #8 - Rated 9 - Now THAT'S my Jessica Jones. Tell where they can stick that money, sweetheart!. If you liked Jess in Alias then pickup this issue! Oh yea, Hydra want sto get Jess to join them to be a snitch. She tells them to go "f" themselves and then SHIELD busts in and saves her. It was good stuff! Go Jess!

Ultimate Secret #1 - Rated 6 - Good to Ultimate Carol Danvers. Oh yea and Ult Captain Marvel shows up... woopie. He fights some invisable monster that is sent by the Kree to make sure the humans don't invent lightspeed travel. Much like Ult Nightmare I get the feeling this series will also be slow and drug out.

Phoenix: End Song #4 - Rated 10 - Great art. Great story. I LOVED the stuff about Emma and Scott. Especially in the egg. Now, for my nitpick.. Emma TK's Kitty? What? I want to thin she just mindcontrolled her to fling herself away.... *shrugs*. And I hope Quentin succeeds in his mission to bring his love back... Can't wait fo rnext issue....

Astonishing X-Men - #9 - Rated 9 - So the Danger room "evolves" and decides it's purpose in life is to kill. Kitty tries to talk it down while the X-Men try to get into its guts and rip it's brain out.. which is what it wanted all along cause it's core is freed and it makes a robot body for itself (and it's female heh!). Love the art and Whedon writes gold as usual. Loves me some Pryde!

Did anyone else notice in Astonishing, that the Danger Room's avator (Wing's body) starts as a mutalatied, discolored, blood soaked corpse, and gradually gets less grotesque, less mangled, less blood, until he look to be in perfect health right before he fades away? Is it just a cool effect, or does it mean something?

At one point the Danger Room says that mutation is his father's term. Who is his father? Master Mold?

Actually, it was the second to last issue of Spectacular Spider-Man. Paul Jenkins and Mark Buckingham (artist from PP:SM when Jenkins first started writing Spidey) are coming back to do the final issue. Hopefully it'll be better then this week's...how you gave it a 7 I can't really understand. It didn't #### as hard as the other parts honestly, but it felt like a cheap filler story that was whipped together while so Jenkins could take it easy after his leg surgery.

Oh, and I think in Secret War that girl's name was Lucia, at least it seemed that way according to Nick Fury's files. She's funding the tech dudes I think. But what I wanna know was why was Wolverine ambushed in the begining without that being followed up? Did I miss something there or do I have to wait another three months to figure that out too?

I thought what was cool was the Sinister six.

Sauron, Cloak and Phoenix. However, did I miss a member, and who were the two standing benid Sinister?

Pretty good...a 7 in my book.

I get the rest of My Marvels tomorrow.

BTW, UFF#17 was solicited......did it not ship this week?

Lets see, Marvel was good as well this week.

The AOA, I just want them to freaking get to the point! I swear, why writers take 5 issues of a 6 issue series to explain the back story is driving me nuts, same thing on Secret War. Secret War is beautiful, love the art work, some good writing, now, if we knew what the plot was and who the big bad villian was supposed to be and why she is mad, I think we would care more. Still a great read, but could be oh so much better.

Astonishing, still good, and really, you want an original x-story, this is got to be it, and with 12 more issues for Whedon, I like where he is going.

EndSong, you know, I really liked the Emma/Scott/Jean triangle, and come on, who really thought Scott would chose emma over jean, a nice issue and I can't wait to see how it ends.

There is more to Ultimate Secret then you let on. Following up from Ultimate Nightmare, it is now apparent that other alien races know Galactus is comming to Earth. What's more, they are determined to prevent us from escaping the planet when he comes.

The whole Asis project is a way for us to escape the comming (Marh-vell says something about it being used 'should' we need to evacuate the planet). The Kree have decided we don't need to be going anywhere, and arrange it's destruction.

Yeah, I thought that the first issue was unimpressive. I hope Ellis picks the pace up a little sooner, this time around.

Rated a 5. Nothing special.

Phoenix: End Song #4. Awesome, Awesome, Awsome! Pak weaves a good tale. Maybe they should look at him to do some regular X-Men stuff. The first issue was confusing, the rest of the story has beeen gold! Rated a 10!!!!

Astonishing X-Men #9. I was skeptical about a story where the Danger Room becomes sentinent-in fact I really wasn't looking forward to it. Whedon, though pulled together a great issue. 3 issues left before him and Cassady take their respite leave..:( Rated an 8!
