View Full Version : 4 vaccinations at the same time and I DIDN'T get superpowers!

For an upcoming trip to the south Sudan, I went to the Health Department yesterday and got 4 shots one after another--Yellow Fever, Tetnus booster, Hepatitis, and Meningitis. And this morning, I began taking the Typhoid vaccination capsules.

But despite the fact that I have all this weird stuff swilling around in my bloodstream, I have NOT yet gotten any superpowers!!

I tell you, I've never been so disappointed with anything in my whole life. As a life-long comic book reader, I'm very aware that this sort of thing often results in the vaccines combining with human DNA in unique ways to produce superpowers. But NOOOOOOOOO. A whole day gone by so far and still no powers manifesting themselves.

What's more--there was a total lack of genetically engineered escaped insects or radiation leaks anywhere in the Health Department building.

Gee whiz, how depressing!
:( :ermm: :(

Well if you take a kind of venom, combined with an anti-drunk pill and then get in a car accident I hear it can have interesting effects on you.

Go get an X-ray or something. Those are all common chemicals floating around, you need to comibne them with an unknown catalyst to get them to activate.

How do you know you don't have superpowers? You might have some superpower that you don't even know about. Perhaps your superpower is that you can talk to penguins. Do you have any penguins around to test this theory? What about polar bears?

That's a good point. Maybe I'll try standing next to the mircrowave in the break room for awhile.

I once watched a documentary about getting struck by lightning. Not only do you NOT get super powers, you can have serious medical repercussions as a result.

I got run over by a motorcycle, and never got the "Powers far and above mortal scooters" that I have heard about...

Well, it probably wasn't a radioactive motorcycle. That makes all the difference.

I have a scar on my face that I can't shoot laser beams out of and isn't even enchanted. Jip!

Maybe your superpower is whining about not having any superpowers!

If so, it's a mutant power I've had since birth, since I've been whining about that pretty much my whole life.

Let me tell ya, super powers are not all they are cracked up to be. Speaking of which... *Crack neck*

Hey, if my superpower is whining about having no superpowers and I realize this, then I now know I have a superpower.

But if I stop whining about not having a superpower because I now have one, then I no longer have that power because the whining WAS my power.

So that would mean that, since I no longer have a power, then I can start whining about it again. But that would mean I once again HAVE that power, and so would have to stop whining.

Which would mean I would lose the power again, making me able to once again whine about it.

And so on and so on and so on.

Whining about not having superpowers is a common mortal trait, like "Visible Spectrum Vision" or "Average Hearing". It is not a superpower.

I'm thinking your best bet is to go running in the rain on some country roads and get struck by lightning as a catalyst. That way, when you wake up you'll be nice and alone for testing all your newfound meta-abilities.

Have a Super Day,

Had you gotten these four Vaccines and a shot of Penicillin [all atthe same time, it's too late to go back and get it now] you would have gotten super powers, they would have cured you of almost any STD!!!!

But now look at you.... uncurable!

Hmm, while the 4 vaccines are good... they are still common... You do need a catalyst for your powers, but radiation and lighting is played out.

You need to mix the blood up.

Stand up, spin around 407438972194879 times. Counter clockwise.

You know... When I went to Ireland they made me get all the vaccinations. I actually did get slightly increased endurance from them. I was able to run a mile in a little less time.

I just tried that, but I lost count of my revolutions somewhere around 14 billion.

Afterwards, I was really dizzy and I inadvertantly disintergrated several of my co-workers with laser beams that shot out from my ear lobes.
