A friend of mine just got Dark Phoenix (that beeee-otch!) and he wants to dial her up to 600 points and take me out. Any ideas what figs would best fit that situation. Who would you use. I was thinking a few Mystics (she would take damage from that ability...I believe) some outsiders stuck with Wildfire...I don't know talk to me.

she really isnt that bad. I just played her 1000 pt version the other day. She lost pretty cleanly. For a sure win pack some wildcard (Dr. Doom cant lose) and a batman ally. Mystic unless easily built onto the team is not necessary. PC is always a good thing because her attack drops a bunch. Once it gets down to even 10 it will be hard for her to hit doom or whoever u use. ICWO can be really helpful to boost def. But stealth is the key to beating her.

Wait a sec.
Dr. Doom wildcards Mystics. Phoenix hits Doom for 4, but Doom masterminds damage to Mr. Hyde and takes none.
Does this mean the Mystics ability doesn't kick in to hit Phoenix back, since Doom did not actually take the damage?

that is correct. Phoenix wouldnt take mystic damage because doom didnt take any damage. If your looking for phoenix to take mystic damage MJ is your best bet.

So stealth works on the Dark Phoenix hey?? So she would have to base me to take me down? I thought Dark Phoenix was not subject to the stealth rulz? Talk to me Hudson.
:devious:
I dont know too ... I think that if the figure is behind hindering she can see (as elevated) but if it is right above hindering, she cant.
If she cant move normally and then attack, hell ... shes useless against stealth! She cant base and hit on the same turn and the opponent will have ten actions!
