R.I.P. Mitch Hedberg

I was saddened to hear the news this morning. Mitch Hedberg was one of my favorite comedians. He had a unique delivery and an unparalled sense of humor that poked at the very simple and mundane things in life.

I saw him open for Dave Attell once, and of course I remember him from lots of stuff on Comedy Central. It's sad to hear he's gone, and not very old either.

That's sad. He was one of my favorites. Nice, subtle humor. He'll be missed.

His death was announced early yesterday morning, Thursday 3/30, on the Howard Stern show; his last appearance on the HS show was St. Patty's Day. Just a couple of weeks ago. He mentioned he was still combatting drug addiction.

Another great comedian down the drain.

One of the few comics I really enjoyed. I got deep into the standup scene in Los Angeles and had the pleasure of meeting many comedians. He had a style and delivery all his own, and it's a tragedy that another unique voice has been silenced. Not much to laugh about on this April Fools Day.

Thankfully, I was able to see him live about 4-5 months ago headlining a show with Stephen Lynch. Unbelievably funny. Stand up comedy lost a star. We will all laugh a little less now.:( :( :(

Not a joke, not at all...

I went out and picked up his CD last night. The Mitch Hedburg website has been overrun, and they are now shipping 4-6 weeks behind now since his passing. I'm glad his CD sales increased... but it's too bad it took him dying to do it. I'm sure he would find this incredibly funny... that's the kind of humorist he was. His spoken word, or "stand-up" was amazing.

Thanks for the laughs Mitch... hope you get a suite in the ole' Quadruple Tree in the sky.

I didnt connect with the RIP sign until I saw this post, I just thought they found him as funny as I did.
