All right, everyone, take a break from raving about the Lobe preview and whining about Legacy production runs and join in the Pirate TOC!!!!!
The Round 1 match ups are as follows:
Blackbeard vs. Peter Blood (WINNER: BLACKBEARD)
Anne Bonney vs. Jack Sparrow
Long John Silver vs. Captain Kidd
Stede Bonnett vs. Thomas Tew
ROUND 1 WINNER: Blackbeard. Bloodied but still alive, he stands over the hacked corpse of Peter Blood
ROUND 1, MATCH 2:
ANNE BONNEY: One of the few female real-life female pirates, she and her companion Mary Read sailed with Captain Calico Jack Rackham in the early 18th Century. By all accounts, Anne loved the pirate life and could more than hold her own in a fight. In fact, when Rackham’s ship was finally taken by the Royal Navy, it was Anne and Mary who stood and fought while the rest of the crew cowered in the hold. Rackham asked to see Anne just before he was hanged, but all she could say to her former lover was “Well, Jack, if you had fought like a man, you wouldn’t now hang like a dog.”
JACK SPARROW: From the movie Pirates of the Caribbean. He’s a highly skilled fighter and he thinks quickly on his feet. Keeps his head in all situation that do not involve destroying all the rum.
WEAPONS: A cutlass and a pistol with a single shot for each pirate.
SETTING: The beached wreck of a large warship, its deck littered with broken spars and other debris. It’s a pitch black night, overcast with neither moon nor stars to give any illumination.
Who would win?
