Wasn't Balmung removed from the HW division?
Crud, thats right. Who did we replace him with, anybody??
Thanks for that RK, anyone else we have here above that we shouldnt?
Oh, and feel free to pick yout Top 5 Teams all, if you wish.
The He-Man/She-Ra team is scary...just because those two make a great team.
Man-at-arms with Genie is also dangerous...he knows how to lead and with Genie as his weapon, that will be very dangerous.
Venger and Static Shock will also be a dangerous team. With Static's ability to take out electronics and Venger's ability to take out everything else, there will be few things that can stop them.
Mumm-Ra and Dracula will also make a dangerous team just because we have evil and evil working together.
I think Tiamat and Omega Supreme's teams are not too shabby, although I don't think OS can hold his team together enough against some of these competitors. No one will be able to communicate with Tiamat though.
Looks cool. Unlike Movie Battles, it looks like it won't be another: "The SHW beats the other SHW, and then proceeds to slaughter the other team"-kinds of battles.

Tiamat's telepathic and can communicate with all species (plus she had full communication capabilities under her listing as well).
Anyway, as for the problem with Balmung...I say we replace him with General Grievous from Clone Wars. :)

Btw, wasn't Kensin (from "Fist of the North Star") moved out of his weight class as well (or was he moved up to HW?) ?
Tiamats team looks very impressive.
I have one thing to mention as well. Couldn't Wiseman simply borrow Captain N's time stopping device and pretty much abuse EVERYTHING? It seems to me that there is nothing stopping such a thing, and it seems very powerful.

I have to agree that with a tactical mind to order him, Genie's team looks pretty good.
I don't think that King Hiss will get along with Conan that well, with Conan's hatred of Set and all...
I like team #30. Sherlok will be such an asset, blus Serpentators and Optimus's technology, and Mozenwrath's power...Scary.
1. Heero Yuy (Gundam Wing), Samurai Jack (Samurai Jack), Captain Planet (Captain Planet), Oberon (Gargoyles)
Ok, I'd like to point out we have Oberon on a team with a guy who has control of the elements and thus can probably remove all Iron from the arena at the start!
I also like the Sesshomaru/Wiseman team up. Two geniuses with dark power who'll complement each others strengths, plus Captain N who can freeze time (and Hak Fu, who can get a strength upgrade from Wiseman).
Overall, though, good set of teams. Several real contenders there.
Black Horse: Legato Bluesummers. Here, he's going to be able to mind control a lot of most enemy teams with ease and turn them against each other. I don't think he'll win, but I bet he'll take out several good teams before he runs into a good match (like Mewtwo or Oberon).
We got some nice match-ups, here.
Besides Bro & Sis He-Man and She-Ra making the same team, we got Tarzan teaming up with King Kong, and I think Mike and Ryu perfectly complment eachother (Can you say 'DOUBLE SHORYUKEN!')
shame heero yuy didn't end up on a team with a gundam suit... he's supposed to be one of the best pilots ever.
he's still on a good team tho....
if oberon kills off a pilot, can heero take over the suit?
Wow. Some very good teams here, it will make quite a few interesting battles...

Oh and wasnt it fun:rolleyes: anyway I like team 20

Plus, in the cartoon, she spoke, you know, English. :)

He was moved to the HWs, where I believe he is listed here.

I thought CP could only control the 4 basic elements (earth, air, fire, water), not metals (aka iron).
Sooooo, does anyone remember who we replaced Balmung with?

General Grievous, don't you remember? :)
*ducks the incoming misc. garbage*
Okay, okay....I just figured Rando - the guy who nominated the replacement - would've headed this off. :)
It was Thundra, Big Bird's cousin over in "Aladdin".
You do realize General Grievous would be more comfortable in the SHW list, right Rokk? ;)
By the way I have a question, we will be assuming all the characters speak in English right? Its no good having Kenshin and the other anime speak Japanese and cant communicate with their team. And I’m also assuming that Pikachu and Godzilla and all the other animals wont be communicating any time soon, right?
You replaced Balmung with Thundra the Rain Bird.

In a tournament with other Star Wars characters, maybe SHW but in a cartoon tourney vs. the likes of Omega Supreme or Tiamat? Nah, HW at most (yes, I know this is all moot as Big Bird has dibs on the spot :) )
I agree with RK, General Grevious is an Obi Wan Kenovi level character, so in THIS TOC he would be a HW.....though this is a moot point. :)
Thanks for the Thundra help guys, just feel free to replace Blamung with Thundra and youll have your teams.
Also, any character that can speak, will be able to communicate with their teammates. Animals who cannot speak, will not be able to......unless there are gifted animals and are shown communicating with humans in their show.
Looks like this TOC will start tomorow. Since Grinner seems to be a bit MIA as of late (hope youre alright buddy) would someone else here, ASAP, like to PM me the numbers 1 thru 32 randomily paired off, each pair with a number 1 thru 8 (for terrains) next to them?

Well, what's the ruling on Pikachu? In the show, it can only say its name, but everyone seems to be able to understand pokemon language like they were Lassie or something.
"Pika Piii!"
"What. Pikachu? Team Rocket just attacked someone just over that hill? Let's go check it out!"
You do realize General Grievous would be more comfortable in the SHW list, right Rokk?
He's just a cyborg with lightsabers, your adverage SHW mecha will step on him and your adverage SHW mage or super will blast him.
He's HW IMO.
I thought CP could only control the 4 basic elements (earth, air, fire, water), not metals (aka iron).
I think he can do stuff as long as it's nature-y. Metal in the ground may fall under Earth, etc..

Scarlett, Zeta, Megatron, Shendu-Interesting team. If they can get past the clashing egos, Megs and Shendu could be a powerful force. Megs transforms into a gun and Shendu does a super speed straffing run.
Q99, how would you rate Mace Windu in the Clone Wars cartoon? You know, the guy who effortlessly beat around 500 Super Battle Droids and a huge battle ship by himself?
And weather or not General Grievous is a SHW it still does not matter, he is not getting in any time soon. :)

Hmm... in the Clone Wars? HW at tops, and it could be argue putting him at just high-end MW.
Let's compare him to some other people who have definite raitings and together have similar abilities, namely two of the X-men.
He's extremely skilled and pre-cog + lightsaber allows him to take on some stuff really well. I'll point out that Wolverine is a high-end Lightweight by most countings, and he shreads robots almost as easily by a simple combination of speed, cut-through-anything claws, and not getting hit skills, with regen making up for his lack of pre-cog. In both cases, it's a good package that is perfect for slaughtering strong-but-predictable foes, and ok at destroying something far stronger by hitting it's weak point, but it's only the skill behind it that let either of these guys live.
Take away his flashy butterknife, and Mace is a noticably weaker psychic than Jean Grey in all areas except for pre-cog, and physically about as fast as Wolverine but not as tough and no regen. Since Jean's a MW and without his lightsaber he's overall weaker or the same once you figure in the physical abilities, that puts Mace clearly in the MW area unarmed, and the saber of shiny badassitude bumps him up one.
I personally think there's only a tiny handful of Jedi-types that really deserve above MW, and almost none that can be counted as SHW (an example being Exar Kun, and Dark Empire-era clone Palpatine, but definitely not Palpatine as shown in any of the movies so far), and most of those are from the Extended Universe where power is boosted alot.
The Jedi get by fairly well against tougher people due to skill in the same way that Captain America and Wolverine (and their own respective unbreakable things they use to hit people) do, but most of the order is MWs, and most Padawans are probably just high-end LWs (like Luke in SW and the first half of Empire is). The extremely badass and experianced, like Master Windu, are HWs, and only those who are not only the greatest of all masters but also tap into some really risky areas (like Exar Kun's eating the lifeforce of a species, or Clone Palpatine's force storms) get to be in the SHW range.

1. Heero Yuy (Gundam Wing), Samurai Jack (Samurai Jack), Captain Planet (Captain Planet), Oberon (Gargoyles)
Jeez! Although team 20 is all-too similar.
2. Race Bannon (The Adventures Of Johnny Quest – Old Series), MacBeth (Gargoyles), Skeletor (He-Man & The Masters Of The Universe), Talpa (Ronin Warriors)
Yikes, talk about team trappers.
9. Lupin (Lupin The 3rd), Jason (Battle Of The Planets), Savage Dragon (Savage Dragon), Legato Bluesummers (Trigun)
Nasty! Lots of trickery with Lupin and Legato and then Jason and Savage lay the beat down.
10. Jackie Chan (Jackie Chan Adventures), Man-At-Arms (He-Man & The Masters Of The Universe), Perout le Fou (Cowboy Bebop), Genie (Aladdin)
Ouch! Just send Perout to take out heavy and below, and have the other three take down the super heavy.
16. Hak Fu (Jackie Chan Adventures), Captain N (Captain N & The Video Game Masters), Sesshoumaru (Inuyasha), Wise Man (Sailor Moon)
This team is just cruel.
18. Snake Eyes (G. I. Joe), Igoo (Herculoids), Mumm-Ra (Thundercats), Dracula (Monster Force)
Game over! Two evil villains with a lot of versatility and combat experience with an expert in martial arts, and a big strong dude.
20. Spike Spiegel (Cowboy Bebop), Lion-O (Thundercats), Big Guy (Big Guy & Rusty), Imhotep (Monster Force)
Now this is a team to watch, two of the best close combatants, Iron Man-lite, and one of the better magic users in the TOC.
23. Daisuke Jigen (Lupin The 3rd), Static Shock (Static Shock), Birdman (Birdman), Venger (Dungeons & Dragons)
Ow! All you needed was Jigen and Shock. Lots of pain involved in this fight.
28. James Bond Jr. (James Bond Jr.), Sgt. Slaughter (G. I. Joe), Vash The Stampede (Trigun), The Gundam (Mobile Suit Gundam)
Vash, Slaughter, and a mech with some gadgety help by some kid. Vash alone would give super heavyweights trouble.
30. Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock Holmes In The 22nd Century), Serpentor (G. I. Joe), Optimus Prime (Transformers), Mozenrath (Aladdin)
Prep time+Sherlock+Serpentor+2 of the best competitors in the TOC is a very deadly combination.
My top 5: Team 18, Team 20, Team 28, Team 9, Team 16
Team 3: Matt Tracker, Robin, Zok and BlackWar Greymon
Can you say BURNINATION!? This team's method is going to be simple, Matt finds 'em with Spectrum, then the rest of the team just level that spot, and everything within a mile
Team 12: Rick Hunter and Tiamat are the only relevant parts here. Their aerial strikes will be lethal!
Team 16: Hak Fu, Captain N, Sesshoumaru, Wise Man
We have the team to beat here. Two Dark masters, with access to Captain N's pad? NOT NICE!
Team 18: Snake Eyes, Igoo, Mumm-Ra, Dracula
If Igoo wasn't here, this'd be the Silent Death team. Almost as horrible as team 16.
Team 9: Lupin, Jason, Savage Dragon, Legato Bluesummers
Our dark horse. Legato is going to wreak ABSOLUTE HAVOC here, mind controlling just about any life form of HW or below. It's going to take one of the other teams above here to stop him.
Other teams to watch are team 1 (Team CONTROL), team 28 (Team Barrage) and team 30 (Team Tactic)
The thing that strikes me is that Genie is fairly incompetant without Aladdin, but Jackie is like Aladdin plus. Even if he gets stumped, he can always ask himself 'what would Jade do?'.
16. Hak Fu (Jackie Chan Adventures), Captain N (Captain N & The Video Game Masters), Sesshoumaru (Inuyasha), Wise Man (Sailor Moon)
This team is just cruel.
Indeed, both in the 'tough to beat' sense, and in the sense that I think Captain N is the only one who'd feel remorse! (well, Hak Fu is technically capable of it...).
Also, pre-tourney question, is Wise Man allowed to power up any of his guys with dark energy? I could easily see him giving Hak Fu power similar to that he got from Dao Long Wong in the series.
23. Daisuke Jigen (Lupin The 3rd), Static Shock (Static Shock), Birdman (Birdman), Venger (Dungeons & Dragons)
Ow! All you needed was Jigen and Shock. Lots of pain involved in this fight.
Venger's nice and versatile too. Especially when you consider the possibilities of Lightning Bolt spells.
The teams I like the best are 16 and 30, but I think 16 is just the best. It's memebers synergize so well, it is impossible to take Captian N by suprise because Wiseman is the king of information and Sesshoumaru has enhanced senses, Sesshoumaru heals people and he has a weapon that litteraly exudes evil magical energy, and can fire it as an attack, and Wiseman's crystal is powered by stuff like that, on top of that Wiseman is a total animal. Team 30 just benefits from Mozenrath being able to teleport Optimus Prime all over everywhere.
Thining about it more, Teams 9 and 16 are the nastiest. Legato Bluesummers will be horrendous in this tournament, but the combination of Hak Fu, Captain N, Sesshoumaru and Wiseman just screams YOU LOSE! to me.

I dunno, team 20 seems to cover every base fairly well. With guys who can fight up or down weight classes, basically no achillies heel, and something from just about every area of expertiece.
I doubt they'll make it that far, but few teams stack up as well. Since removing one, doesn't really break the chain any. Plus, given that Lion-O is the only one who might not kill, or not just lay the smack down everytime. That team is a butt-kicking machine.

I think I put in his bio that Godzilla has no problem communicating with the crew of the Calico. He's way above animal intelligence, so I'd put him in the same boat as the Pokemon.
And I like the chances of Team Cinemax (#11 - featuring the scantily clad threesome of Sailor Saturn, Evil-Lyn, and Aeon Flux - along with token male, Ren) and Team Death from Above (#12 - with airborne threats Peter Pan, Rick Hunter, and Tiamat backed by the ghost who walks, the Phantom). And I'll agree with everyone's opinion on Team Flock, Shock, and one Smoking Barrel (#20 - with Jigen, Static Shock, and the winged threats of Birdman and Venger)...
