What brings in the bucks
Is it Marvels BlockBuster Movies or DC Cartoons

Marvel makes great movies, but there only few that made money... We see how good FF4 does when it comes out... I am more of DC fan and there cartoons are just the best.. What do you folks think??

I think just the X-Men movies/merchandising alone are enough to blow away any number of cartoons + merchandising. But then again, I'm somewhat unfamiliar with the economics of cartoons. My guess would be Marvel's Movies Franchises however.

I think it depends on how you're rating the $$$

In straight up-front profit I think that the Marvel movies pull in more dollars. Over time, though, the re-runs of the DC cartoons can make more (and certainly more consistent) dollars through advertising.

And then there is the merchandising...

Yes, the Spider-man movie tie-ins sell well. But is that because they're tied into the movie or because they're Spider-man? I know that in my personal experience the comic based X-men toys sell better than the movie based ones.

The Teen Titans toys have the most space dedicated to them of all the superhero figures in nearly every store I've been to.

So I think over the long run that the DC cartoons make more money, but for quick money it's Marvel.

They all have made money. Spiderman, Punisher, Xmen, Daredevil, and even Hulk has made millions of Profit. Only one I dont know about is Elektra. Havent heard anything on that one.

The problem w/ Marvel Movies there not for all ages, u wouldn't take 5 yr to go see Punisher... For Dc Cartoon which are very popular w/ grown ups.. I guess Marvel horrible when it comes to making cartoons, the only good ones were Spiderman and Amazing Friends, Spiderman and X-men. BOMB-OUts Hulk,Iron-man, Silver Surfer MTV Spiderman.

Did anyone like Hellblazer John Constantine movie?
