And if so, who's your favorite character? What's your longest winning streak?
For me, I always use Ken in SF and CVSNK, Terry in FF, and a mix of people in KOF. With Ken and SF, I haven't lost with him in any SF game since Super Street Fighter II was released on the SNES. Terry and the KOF guys, I'm more about 90% with my wins.

I was a big Street Fighter fan. I was one of the multitude of Ryu people. I just picked up Anniversary Collection a week or two ago and have been playing Street Fighter III a lot, and it seems that Sean is becoming my new favorite.
However, I've always considered myself to be a Mortal Kombat fan first and foremost as far as fighting games go. I just loved the characters and the stories from the first time I snuck out of the house to go to a friend of a friend's house to go play it (I was still a gradeschooler at the time and my parents tended to be strict on that kinda thing). Sub-Zero all the way baby.

Long ago, I was a Ryu SNES Street Fighter II player. I could win using one hand on the controller, putting the jab button on the R button . . .
I usually used Terry Bogard in the Fatal Fury games: c'mon! c'mon!
Fatal Fury? Never a fan.
Street Fighter? In the Alpha games, Gen or Sakura all the way. In Street Fighter III, its Elena for me, or Makoto in Third Strike. Diablo, which III are you playing, Generations, 2nd Impact or 3rd Strike. If you're using Sean in 3rd strike, then get your head checked!
The King of Fighters? Give me K', Iori, and someone else, depending on what edition it is. In 2003, its Iori Yagami on Lead, K' with either Ash or Malin as teammates.
For 2D fighting games though, there can be only one true legend, and for me, that's Guilty Gear XX, where I use Dizzy, Eddie or my true fave, Testament.

I think it's 3rd Strike. It's whichever one is included in the Anniversary Collection. But what's wrong with Sean in 3rd Strike? So far he's been pretty reliable, though I've been working with Chun Li recently too.

I've been playing a bit of Fatal Fury Special on my PC via an emulator lately.

Street Fighter here. Guile is one of my favorites. Sakura comes in a close second.

When I played SFA3, I was pretty good with every character (less so with Zangief and Thunder Hawk), but I roxxored some boxxors with Gen and Akuma. Once, I dodged Super Bison's Shin Psycho Crusher with an X-ISM Dan by doing the Hisshou Buraiken at the same time; he went right past me, no damage.
For KoF, I like Iori Yagami and the Art of Fighting team, especially Takuma.
For Fatal Fury, I've always like Geese Howard.

Street Fighty fan. I'm real great at the original, but I do love Sagat. In SFA3, I always use Sagat, Akuma, or Sodom. In SFIII, I use Urien and Hugo, and sometimes Akuma.
I've never played any of SNK's fighters, but I really want to try KOF and Samurai Shodown.

Huge fan but not of the alfa series. Super Street fighter 2 is the best fighting game ever made.

Oops missed the "favorite part". Mine had to be Guile. Now the way I fought with him would probably be called "turtling" but it was very effective. Other wise it was Bison. I could do the torpedo move faster than you could shoot a fire ball.
It kind of sucked getting so good at the game though. None of my friends would play me anymore so it's been long put away.
icymatt, when you play III with Urien, I'm guessing you take Aegis Reflector as your super art? What about Hugo, my friends and I argue over whether Gigas or Megaton are the way to go. I say Megaton, solely for the extra juice and the combo off the Wall throw.

GG, I had to start playing with my eyes closed to give them a chance. Yes folks, I am good enough to beat people with my eyes closed.

I don't use Aegis Reflector regularily, but only because I'm not good at using it effectively yet. In the right hands, it's a deadly technique.
I always use Megaton with Hugo. It's easy to pull off, and incredibly effective when it hits.
Well, depending on which version of SFII it is I'll play Ryu, Sagat, Cammy or Fei Long the most. I've found that over the years I've definately lost my edge on SFII.
SFA games I really like to play with Rolento, Sodom, Birdie and Adon. I play Akuma when I want to win every fight.
SF3 I end up playing Akuma when I want to win pretty easily but I also enjoy Ibuki, Sean and Elena. I've had some luck with Alex and Chun Li (Shocking! I've never been a big fan) as well. Honestly, I still haven't learned enough about the new characters to be totally comfortable with the game.
Fatal Fury, I'll use Terry, Andy, Joe and Kim. I was really good with Kim.
KoF, if I'm not playing Iori then I must not be thinking straight. I'll also play Kim and the FF cast on occasion... maybe a little Leona and Kyo or Ryo...
My personal favorite of this style game are the Marvel games. I like the over the top style and the double jumps. I'm pretty well versed in all characters on Marvel Superheroes, M v C and M v C 2. I keep my Dreamcast connected to the big TV in our livingroom just for when I get the jonesing for a good 2-D fighter. Dreamcast, how I loved thee.
