The two most annoying beings from each universe collide, but who will win? The only survivor of the planet Poppup or the 5th dimensional trickster? I personally have no idea, but what about you guys?

Mr. Mxyzptlk - Imp Man is limited by changing himself. Mxyzptlk can change everything including space and time.

But if they were to battle, it would be we who would loose!

Mxyzptlk is definitely the more powerful. In Exiles, an out-of-control Impossible Man did all kinds of stuff... that Mxyzptlk could do without effort. He's 5 dimensional, he's above the Spectre (the guardian of the 3rd dimension) in power. The only marvel character I know that could fight him, is the Living Tribunal!

This has happened before, in the Silver Surfer/Superman crossover...I think it ended up in a tie, or Impy tricking Mxy into saying his name backwards. It was funny though. They both kept turning into different heroes back and forth. I think at one point Impy turned into a purple and green Galactus!!

IIRC there was an annual (FF?) in which it was revealed that Poppy goes and bothers the heroes of another universe (in a guise that looked a lot like Mr. M) when he isn't bothering the Marvel 616 gang.

That issue is Superman (vol. 2) #50. And it was Mxyzptlk transforming into an ersatz Impossible Man, not the other way around.

Maybe they both did it, as a sort of crossover.
I remember the incident also, and didn't read that issue of Supes.

It ended in a draw. Impossible Man turned into Galactus and ate Mxyzptlk as Lobo, then exploded (heh, frag grenades. same thing with the oversized Mask). Silver Surfer interrupted the fight after that.
