View Full Version : TV Cartoon Battles: Mixed Teams TOC: Round 1, Match 6
And what a Match that was, or should I say IS, as we still have days left to go for that one, which is still tied by both Team Voltron and Team Tiamat. Great arguments from both sides, 2 very close teams in the mix, which shall advance and which shall fall, that as always is up to YOU.
With pretty much the same rules as with all of my TOCs, except this time:
The terrain has been enlarged to 40 miles wide, as always, protected by a force field of the strongest power to prevent characters from escaping or flying their foes to the sun.
Team will now have a 10 minute "Planning Stage" where each team can talk and prep amongst themsevles against the opposing team. Characters may NOT leave their immediate area during this time and no powers, spells,etc. can be used. This is a planning, sharing information stage only.
Now without further adieu, allow me to present your next battle in a BRAND NEW (aka: OLD, OLD, OLD) type of Tournament Of Champions:
TEAM GENIE -Jackie Chan (Jackie Chan Adventures), Man-At-Arms (He-Man & The Masters Of The Universe), Perout le Fou (Cowboy Bebop), Genie (Aladdin)
VS.
TEAM EXPERIMENT 627 - Michealangelo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Ryu (Street Fighter), Leader One (Challenge Of The Go-Bots), Experiment 627 (Lilo & Stitch)
As always, same rules apply, no time to prepare, POOFed from where ever they were, with only what they routinely carry on them AND/OR routinely used in their shows, to fight in a Large area til one stands and one falls. YOU decide Who.
Randomly Chosen Area:
New Millenium City - A large, modern city, full of gleaming steel, and polished marble skyscrapers. High speed train tracks, suspended in the sky, whisk it's industrious population from building to building. Perfectly manicured parks are nested at the feet of gleaming edifices to modern design.

ALSO, please do your best to respect everyones votes, reasonings and opinions here. If you believe your character should win, but doesnt in the end, dont hold grudges against the character that beat yours, or call the votes that allowed this to happen "fanboy" arguments or plain and simply wrong. We all have our own way of thinking and voting here, with each one of our thoughts and ideas as valid as your own. Lets do what we can, even in the heat of an argument, to respect that. Thanks.

With Jackie giving him pointers, Genie should beat 627 easily.
The rest of the matchups are actually rather fair and would take awhile, but 627 isn't one of the guys who can take on Genie, lacking in both raw power and magic. Ryu's chi fireballs are kinda like magic, but even granted that, they don't kill tough humans, let alone djinni.
Experiment 627 lacks Raw Power?? I thought he was Mega Stitch, and Stitch was practically an Ultron/Juggernaut mix in the HWs.

It doesn't matter if Genie will do anything or not.
Perout wastes everybody almost instantly.
And people thought Big Guy's arsenal was huge.
And given the fact that Uber Stitch will never even get close enough to even touch Mad Perout, much less get past his shield.
Given the fact that Man-at-arms and Jackie can be quite crafty, they could figure out a way to stop mega Stitch while Perout handles the rest of the team effortlessly.

Experiment 627 lacks Raw Power?? I thought he was Mega Stitch, and Stitch was practically an Ultron/Juggernaut mix in the HWs.
Well, yea, Stitch was really tough for the HWs, but 627 is only a bit tougher (and has offense matching his defense, unlike Stitch). He's still not that much on raw power to, say, Superion or Voltron or Wiseman. And Genie is fairly hard to take out (at least, that's what I gathered from people saying freakin' Ryoko who can blow up space stations would have trouble).
He's a SHW, just one not too suited to taking on Genie w/ good advice.
with man-at-arms there to keep genie focused he'll finally be worth something.
i'd love to see jackie vs ryu. i'm completely biased for jackie chan tho... prof a/dracula levels of bias.
so i'll base my vote for the man-at-arms bit....

Genie becomes one big distraction for 627. Mike beats Jackie, but Man-At-Arms and Perout beat Leader one and Ryu. Perout then takes out Mike and the remaining 3 beat 627 together. My vote...

I also have to say that Experiment 627's weakness - a twisted sense of humor. Thats right...making him laugh. Thats his only weakness off hand. And Genie plays right into that.
With Man at Arms paired with Genie, Genie will have the directrion to take this team out. Jackie Chan and Man At Arms with a Genie to direct...sick. 627 is tough and amazing at hand to hand, but has no defense for the laughter or the magic. All Genie needs to do is pull a few tricks, 627 is on the ground laughing, BAM! 627 is contained. Team Genie for the win!

Once again, I must ask a question. If everyone is saying Genie is useless and won't do anything, then why in the #### is he in this tournament? Just like last time. People are saying he's not even going to do anything, and it's the other three on his team vs. Experiment 627's team. That's preposterous.
Experiment 627 is bad ###, but not enough to do #### to Genie. Perout destroys Leader One, Man-at-Arms and Ryu are pretty evenly matched in my book, but when Jackie is done annhilating Michaelangelo, he can help out. Team Genie for an easy win.

This is kind of interesting.
Perout and Leader 1 will be able to do nothing to each other. Leader won't be able to blast through Perout field, and no hand weapon Perout is carrying is going to penetrate Leader's armor.
Meanwhile Genie and Man-At-Arms are going to work 627, but it's going to take a while.
This, unfortunately is going to leave Jackie vs Michelangelo AND Ryu, at the same time. Bu-Bye Jackie.
Ryu and Michealangelo reach the area just as 627 gives up the ghost and goes down. Mikie attacks Man-At-Arms, and Genie comes down to more or less fight on Ryu's level. (While not at Ryu's powerlevel, a directionless Genie is going to go with his whacky style, which is not an immediate knock out.)
All this while Perout and Leader One continue to blast the #### out of each other and the arena around them. Personally, I'm betting Perout runs out of ammo first.
Is there any reason Leader One can't grab Perout and carry him into the upper atmosphere where he'll pass out? It doesn't matter but I'm curious.
Eventually Genie will finish Ryu with a million pound anvil, or something. Man-At-Arms will beat the ninja turtle, (Cunning and Dirty Tricks beats Youth and Quickness).
You now have Man-At-Arms and Genie agains Leader 1. Leader 1 is going down.
Winner: Team Genie
Well, I doubt 627 is gonna be much of a challenge for Genie, because from what I've heard he's pure beatstick, giving him no advantage. Perout, Man At Arms and Jackie round out the rest of the team and overall ca take out the opponents.

I also have to say that Experiment 627's weakness - a twisted sense of humor. Thats right...making him laugh. Thats his only weakness off hand. And Genie plays right into that.
Ouch. This turned from an actual fight with a fairly certain end to an outright slaughter with the same said end.

What? One person is saying that, and to be more precise he's saying Genie isn't needed and is icing on the cake, not that he nessesarily won't do anything.
Genie is definitely more dangerous when on a team (although there's the delay in hearing advice and doing it, it does inspire him to do more effective stuff than he normally would. He always does stuff, it's just not always as effectives as what others think up).

Magneto, here's your all-iron opponent. Let's have a fair fight :laugh:
Seriously, though, this is another one of those matches (like Ultron coming up against matter transmuters or all of movie Magneto's metal-heavy terrain pulls) where a really powerful opponent pulls their Kryptonite.

Genie gets my vote. he has direction from his team which is already to powerful for the little guys on team 627
Soooo, a simple matter transmuter is going to foil Ultron, eh Grinner? Methinks not. :)
Though I do agree with you wholeheartedly in this fight, though Leader One would put up a Great fight, in the end Team Genie will take this more than not.

I'll vote for team Genie.
627 haveing a weakness to humor is just too much of an advantage, if Genie is anything it's funny. Without that I'd still vote against him, but there is no way someone that can be incapacitated by laughter can deal with Genie.
I am shocked...I thought I would never see "I'm voting" and "for Genie" in the same sentence from Rando. This really isn't that much of a match. The beat stick vs. the magic user with his beatstick kryptonite.
Sigh...627 never really had a chance in this match!
What really makes this match fun is that Genie has encyclopedic knowledge of Disney charachters. He has morphed into so many Disney people (And occasionally met them) its hard to think he will not find what makes 627 laugh.

I doubt if TEAM experiment 627 can win I mean come on. Experiment 627 WAS strong sure Ill give him that but humor was what made him lose in the series... While on the other hand I think Jackie Chan and man-at-arms can take on Michealangelo and Ryu... Jackie chan in the series could take on even a dragon god.. and Man-at-arms could probably beat Michaelangelo since his armor is very resistant against physical attacks. Then Jackie goes for Ryu.... Even if Perout le Fou loses against Leader one it would still be 3 on 1... So TEAM GENIE wins this one...

This is really hard.
Jackie Chan will be Mickey. Just much more experience...though its a fun battle.
I vote Ryu to beat Man at Arms. In Street Fighter universe these warriors are so tough that their chi attacks are more powerful than technological attacks.
Ryu then goes to fight Jackie CHan and beats Jackie Chan pretty easily.
Perout le Fou and Leader One will be fighting it out for awhile. Hard to say who would win this battle...but whom ever does their team would take it.
627 vs. Genie. Genie is powerful but he still isn't a fighter and can't kill. That is what its going to take to win this someone willing to kill. Genie may not be able to be taken out, but neither can 627 without the Genie playing hardball.
This fact alone I give the battle to Experiment 627.
Team 627 then does cleanup to win.
