I was playing Heroclix the other day, and building my team, I had 103 points left. I looked at my selection and realized that U HT Batman and R IC Hulk both cost the same. This got me thinking. Just because they are Heroclix equals doesn’t translate back translate back to comics. I think most of us would agree that Hulk could beat Batman in a fight.

That is the idea for this tournament. Every entry will be close to the same amount of points Heroclix wise, but this will be their comic forms fighting!

Rules:
This will be a standard single elimination tournament with 32 combatants. There will be 2 to a fight. They get no knowledge of each other (unless they have fought in the past). The only thing they get is the Heroclix figure of there enemies, and a PAC so they know what the opponent looks like and a bit about what they can do (this can be misleading however, like if they face Electro and think he will try to poison them). They will have 5 minutes to prepare. This is a fight to the death or KO, whichever happens first, and they must fight (no waiting for the opponent to die of starvation). They have with them what they normally carry and what there fig has if it is different. (Like how Bullseye doesn’t carry a gun, but he has one on the fig). If the fig that is being used is the rookie, you do NOT have to treat the fighter like that. (unless the characters powers change dramatically ie: Rouge)

When you vote, please try to justify your answer. You don’t have to write an essay, just a short explanation will do.

Terrain
There are 10 terrains that are all 5 miles in diameter. They will be chosen randomly.
With out further delay…

Judge Hershey
fig from IN, 33pts.
vs.
Silver Sable
fig from MM, 33pts.

Terrain:
WWII Battle Field by The Red Baron
Think Battle of the Bulge. On one side are the Allies on the other are the Axis. Both are based on opposite hills which create a valley with a river dividing the hills. In this valley is a small village, which contains the only bridge around for miles. The Allies must protect the bridge or the Axis will be able to advance back into France.

JUDGE HERSHEY
Barbara Hershey has a meteoric rise in her career in the Judges. After graduating from the Academy of Law she was assigned to the Spacecruiser Justice 1 to find the Judge Child. Working closely with Judge Dredd, the two gained mutual respect for each other. Hershey survived the mission and was commended by Dredd himself. After being saved by Dredd from the Angel gang, Hershey was recruited into the Apocalypse Squad whose mission was to end the Apocalypse War by destroying East Meg One. Her successful involvement resulted in her promotion to senior Street Judge. Four years later, after Chief Judge McGruder took the Long Walk, Hershey became the youngest member on the Council of Five. After the Judgment Day crisis when Chief Judge Volt committed suicide, Hershey was promoted to Chief Judge of Mega City One.

SILVER SABLE
Symkaria native Silver Sablinovia runs Silver Sable International, a worldwide organization who apprehends wanted criminals and recovers stolen property. Silver and her task force, called the Wild Pack, first encountered Spider-Man while on the trail of the jewel thief Black Fox. She subsequently helped him apprehend Jack O' Lantern and members of the Sinister Syndicate. She has since teamed up with the Sandman, Human Torch and Venom. Silver is a master of hand-to-hand combat, firearms and thrown weapons, including the Chai, a projectile of her own design.

My money's on Hershey. She's a very skilled Judge and her gun can fire heatseeking ammon that can home in on a person (other firing modes: Ricochet, high explosive, armor piecing, incendiary, and can be fitting with gas grenades judges carry standard). Hershey has the firepower and gear to beat Sable at range, and the skill to make it stay at said range.

Actually I am going to vote for Sable due to the fact that see will be able to hide from mthe battle going on. People seem to forget that this is a major ww2 battle being fought here

Hershey can do that too, Judges are quite good at keeping their head down (and their outfits are body armor).

In my opinion, these two seem pretty much equal. They would both have a good supply of weapons, can both hold their own in hand to hand, can both blend in and play the stealth card. I'm on the fence. I'll wait for more arguments (if there are any) before I pick a side.

I believe the two to be equal in skill and the battlefield doesn't tip the balance at all, but I like Sable more.

My vote: Silver Sable.

BTW, Mags, you made a typo on the title. This is still Round 2.

Which is actually just a minor Block Riot for MegaCity 1.
Hershey could plough through it with relative ease.
Then she'll show Silver Sable for the Dilettante she is.
The Judge wins.

Well, I think I've made up my mind. I see them being equal, but Hershey would have more expirience with this kind of terrain. My vote...
JUDGE HERSHEY

Skill-wise, they're about equal with a slight edge to Sable but when it comes to experience and tech, Hershey trumps Silver.

Vote: The Judge

You don't make the SJS, council of five or earn the commendation of Judge Dredd without being as tough as nails. A battlefield is nothing to Hershey, she fought through one in her first real mission, the Judge Child quest. As a street judge, a Mega-City 1 riot or a Block War is probably worse, there's 22nd century firepower flying then.

Throw in Justice Department equipment like the body armour, and more importantly, a Lawgiver, and you've got a no contest on your hands. A Judge isn't a person, they're a machine. Sable's nothing but a rich dilletante with guns and some training. Hershey's been training and learning how to be the toughest thing in a tough city since she was 5 years old.

Judge Hershey to win. If she had a Lawmaster bike it'd be even faster.

If she had a Lawmaster bike it'd be even faster And wouldn't that be an awesome big fig. I'm voting hershey too. Judges are just too badass to be taken out by someone calling themselves silver sable.

Come to think of it, wasn't one of those two sides in the battle fighting with world war 2 tech against superior alien tech of laser lances and such on the other side? And she and Dredd plowed right through that.

That'd be right. And in the second part of the battle, there were tanks too!

And for the record, the firing modes of a Lawgiver are: Standard Execution, Heatseeker, Incendiary, Rubber Ricochet (Dodgem'), Armour Piercing, High Explosive, Stun Shot Energy Pulse, with Stumm Gas grenade fittings that are fired by a standard execution.
