Looks like a little bit of competition for Marvel Heroclix.
I haven't seen anything on the realms about this but I just might have missed it.

Toy Biz and Upper deck announce a joint venture on a combination action figure/CCG.

I think the high price and initial lack of villains (Doctor Octopus the only true one) might limit the success of this.

Any thoughts or interest?

I saw that in a prior Toy Biz and thought it sounded a little strange. A game to tell you how to play with your toys? Might be cool, but I'm hesitant right now to try it out.

Well from the "dials" you can see they have an attack value and a defense value, but nothing else. They might have a "tix" ticker on the bottom for movement, like the star wars attacktix. I got some of those for my son and played some with him. He seemed to really enjoy it, as the game mechanix are much simpler and, in my opinion, better for his age group. This game sounds like it may be somewhat more complex than attacktix, but not like heroclix. The only downside I see is the high price,,,, $10 for one figure is a little too steep for my blood, esp. when you can get the full-size marvel legends figures for $7. They will be pretty cool figures though, who knows?
