who's the best playable fig?

Thats a really, really poorly put question, and its almost impossible to answer.

Best playable fig for points? As is cost effectiveness? Best playable fig as a support piece? As a centre piece?

You gotta narrow the horizon a bit before that question can be answered.

Its a hard question to answer without criteria.
There are great playable figures that are role or support figures like Con Artists, Jean Grey, and paramedics.

If I could choose one figure to make a team out of I would have to say........

8 Range

He can do it all. Hit anyone, move anyone, hide from most anyone, or avoid a hit from anyone

This is only the most open-to-interpretation question ever.

Some would say Nightcrawler because he's hard to hit, can deliver to just about anyone, fits on even small teams and is RIPE for abuse.

Deathstroke is up there for being a solid-as-all-heck secon-stringer/utility harasser for way cheap.

I'm a big fan of Havok for tremendous cheap damage.

There is always KC Superman or Ultimate Thor for an amazing beatstick who can KO the opposition and stick around for more.

R Hawk. You can't really miss anyone with his 12 AV, plus with an object, he can do 5 clix of damage (6 if its the pop machine) Plus, he's got charge and leap/climb for mobility, and toughness. On the downside, you cannot cook ham with him, and he has an activation click. All this for the unusually low price of 45 pts.

Another good piece in my opinion is U Flash. He is hands down the best medic-killer in the game. add armor piercing to him and he can take out your biggest threats (Thor, Supes, Comish. Gordon...) from across the board. No one is ever going to argue with 20 movement

For cost effective pieces, here's my short list:
R Taskmaster just keeps ending up on my short list of cheap attackers, even when I'm not trying to abuse wildcards
V Shi, likes hanging with Johnny Alpha, they're almost the same fig, just swap TK for BCF.
R Domino - PC that can fight back, the fig has no downside.
V Nebula - Just great for her points, all she needs is a taxi with at least toughness. I've never lost a game in which I fielded Vet Nebula.

But when all is said and done, Veteran Dr. Doom is still THE #1 best fig for his points. Abuse wildcards, abuse double EE, abuse your opponent's figs, and Mastermind is the most reliable way of avoiding damage. He can share a 12av, or an 18dv, he can even perplex when he's only standing there laughing at his enemies.

some of the best i'd say would be v deathstroke, v nightwing, v batman(leg), v bullseye, v shi, v psylocke, v havok and... nightcrawler and phoneix bah there really are ALOT of figures who are good for their points, there are also alot of ones who are bad for them though :P

Personaly, i like Dr Strange. He is all around fun to play, very useful, can fill any roll (granted at different times) While his defensive powers are lacking in todays game, He rarely lets you down, even after a large hit from lets say thor, Strange can still help his team out

V Shi - BCF, SS, Stealth, 11 atk 16d 3dmg. 47 points. Nuff said.

E Moonknight - WP, SS, Stealth, Avengers. Decent numbers, 27 points.

V Bullseye - 10 range. RCE. ESD, 16d. 11 atk. 43 points.

V Electro - 4 Damage (sick!), 8 range, poison, ESD. 54 points.

R Hawk. (See other guys description.)

V Deathstroke - Outwit, WP, 11 atk, Regen, Stealth. 50 points.

R,E,V Aquaman - Rediculously good for points. 27 on the rookie. SS, 3 dmg, 11 attack. Whaaaat??

R Black Panther - 27 points Avenger Outwit Stealth. Awesome.

V Black Widow - Ult TA, 3 Damage, WP, Incap. 59 pts.

U Spiral - Flurry BCF. 56 point Wildcard. Nuff Said.

V Ult Spiderman - 58 pts, Wildcard, SS, WP, LC, 11 atk ( i think)

U Green Goblin - 62 pts, WP, Perlex, SS, flier.

V Kabuki - See Shi. Very Similar.

U Ult Thor - Why this guy is only 186 points is far beyond me. Just doesnt make sense. So broken.

V Johnny Alpha - See other guy.

E Batman (HT) - WP, Outwit, Incap, Bats TA, 6 Range... So good.

V Puck - Charge, SS, Toughness, Avengers, 57 points.

LE Elektra (Ninja) - 8 Range. 3 Damage. 19 POINTS?!?!!?

V Green Arrow - Just GOOD.

V Hawkeye - 3 dmg RCE, Ult TA, 11 Attack. Sick.

V Firelord - 13 atk. 18 d. 3 dmg RCE. They called him the Cheese for a reason back in the day.

V Havok - 4 Damge 8 Range X men. Awesome.

Once again, V Havok. He is just too good for the points. My favorite I think though would have to be R Domino. V is good with X TA but rookie for only 35 points can sit back in stealth and PC and if needed, has ended guys for the win. She always ends up on my teams. V ultimate black widow and V dagger with spidey TA are also very good figs.

IMHO there's no real way to get one answer. A lot of what people use to decide which figures go into their teams comes from personal playstyle or special preference towards a character. No matter how you phrase it, you're not gonna get one unanimous answer. While there are some figures considered to be trash and some considered broken, in the end it's possible that just about any figure could KO just about any other figure. The usefulness of figures really comes out of the person using them and a heaping pile of luck. You can have the most powerful weapon in the world but still fail miserably if you don't know how to use it.

oracle + card, best fig combo in the game. rook black panther was the standard for cheap outwit and conartists for cheap perplex. now you can get both in one fig. as for other good powers/playable figs. legacy joker's got it all for under 100 points. I love cloak and dagger too. every version is playable even the le's.

THOR (Ultimates) is still the best fiqure out there for his points. :confused:
