We all have favourite shows where the cast is just outstanding. However, we've also seen those shows suffer "early deaths" due to bad time slots or lack of publicity. So, here's my question for you: which television cast do you feel is currently doing an outstanding job and deserves a bigger audience?
For the record, I have two that pretty much tied in my eyes:
*Arrested Development - a stellar comedy ensemble led by "straight-man" Jason Bateman, AD has a small cult following and wide critical acclaim. Unfortunately it just keeps getting killed in the ratings and most people don't even know it exists.
*NCIS - a show that shifts smoothly and readily between grim seriousness and light comedy of the type you find between comrades. Mark Harmon's Jethro is the sort of man you want in your corner, even if you would want to strangle him before the resolution of your problem. People just see the letters and assume the show is a cheap knock-off of the CSI series. Nevermind the fact that this show is different enough, it also has a big advantage of Gus Grissom and Co.: it actually develops its' characters, focusing more on the cast than on the gruesome details.
