One of the guys on my floor just downloaded the maps today and a few friends and I tried them all out. We only had 4 people and had to go splitscreen, so my game was a bit off (LAN parties have ruined me. :p ), but I could see a lot of potential for big games on these things. Containment has to be my favorite of the bunch. Found this sweet little diagonal lip right by the base gates, grabbed an Active Camo and just hid up there waiting for someone to come by so I could grenade them to death. :grin:

Did you notice if the download fixed the glitches? I've heard it eliminates the sword glitch.

My friends & I have too much fun with that glitch; but I'd want new maps. :(

The glitches were fixed in an autoupdate a week or two before the maps were released. As soon as you sign on to Xbox live with Halo 2 they get fixed. So, the maps download is definately worth it since you'll most likely go onto live anyway...

I play in LAN groups, not XBox Live. Supposedly, the map pack will fix the glitches too. Durn it!:knockedou

The "fun glitch" that most people are disappointed with getting fixed was "sword flying". If you locked onto someone while sitting in a warthog with the sword and hit the attack button then jumped out you would be sent flying through the air across the level.

Yes, the Map disc which comes out in late June will also have the autoupdate on it, so no matter what the glitches will be fixed... however, you can still do it during campain mode (wooptie doo, right?)

The good news is that the shortened fuse on the frags and the extra damage on the stickies make Grenade warfare much better. I was always a big grenade guy in the original Halo.

The sword glitch is awesome. Any weapon that has a scope works. You switch to the scope, lock on an enemy until the crosshairs turn red. Change weapons to the sword and quickly attack. If you do it right, the game thinks you are locked on with the sword and you fly straight towards the enemy.

The melee attack with the brute shot should do more damage too. (It has a blade on the front)

Ah, the Sword glitch. So much fun. Sad to see it go. :(
