TV Cartoon Battles: Mixed Teams TOC: Round 2, Match 3

Well, since our last Match wasnt nearly all that close, Team Venger taking apart Team Hordak rather easily, I thought Id throw another one up, see what we all thought.

With pretty much the same rules as with all of my TOCs, except this time:

The terrain has been enlarged to 40 miles wide, as always, protected by a force field of the strongest power to prevent characters from escaping or flying their foes to the sun.

Team will now have a 10 minute "Planning Stage" where each team can talk and prep amongst themsevles against the opposing team. Characters may NOT leave their immediate area during this time and no powers, spells,etc. can be used. This is a planning, sharing information stage only.

Now without further adieu, allow me to present your next battle in a BRAND NEW (aka: OLD, OLD, OLD) type of Tournament Of Champions:

TEAM SHENDU - Scarlett (G. I. Joe), Zeta (The Zeta Project), Megatron (Transformers), Shendu (Jackie Chan Adventures)


As always, same rules apply, no time to prepare, POOFed from where ever they were, with only what they routinely carry on them AND/OR routinely used in their shows, to fight in a Large area til one stands and one falls. YOU decide Who.

Junk Planet - What a pile of junk. The surface of this planet is covered with debris and old junk. Mountains of it rise up from the hard baked dirt floor, weaving canyons through the never-ending sea of debris. Not even the equipment meant to process and compact all this litter works any more. (Inspired by: Mega XLR, Junkion, and Junk Yards everywhere)

I vote for Team Omega Supreme.

Unfortunantly for Omega Supreme's team it will be nearly impossible to dissuade OS from blowing Shendu's HW away. Fortunantly OS's HW is essentally Jackie Chan, with significant superhuman enhancements and magical abilties, as as such can almost certainly engage Shendu for a significant time period (as Jackie Chan has been shown to be able to do so). Similarly Tygra will need to use his invisibility to muster an easy win against Scarlett while Dirk tangles with Zeta (as Zeta is really just a glorified dopleganger with a pacifist complex as far as I can see). Kind of a weird match, but one I think OS's team can win.

I agree that the SHW will most likely go for the opposing HW, and they will both win. Tygra will beat Zeta (but I don't think it will be easy), but I think that Scarlett can hold her own against Dirk and that match will end with a double KO. In the end, I think it will come down to Shendu va. OS + a weakemd Tygra. I'd take magic over machanical any day, and at that point, Tygra won't be much help. My vote...
TEAM SHENDU

I'm having trouble picturing how Shendu will significantly hurt Omega Supreme... his transformation magic was never shown to work on inorganic stuff, and his heat beam eyes and fire breath were never shown with a tenth the power of Omega Supreme's attacks. He's too tough for Shendu to take on in any reasonable amount of time,

Shendu is a fairly low-end SHW except for his immortality, and he really should've lost (and badly) to Ryoko who was both stronger and was his weakness (good magic), but he'll definitely lose to the overwhelming power of Omega Supreme here. Especially with Genjo who's better, faster, and stronger than Jackie Chan is and can definitely help out OS as well.

I'm with the Omega Supreme crowd on this one. I can also see the HW/SHW swap happening, but I think Genjo will hold his own a bit better than Megatron will (as Rando said - if Jackie, a LW, regularly squares off against Shendu, I'm sure that uber-Jackie can keep him occupied for a while). Tygra rules his MW and LW opposite numbers (in broken terrain like this, invisibility, speed, and agility will dominate). Team Omega Supreme to advance.

I guess I'll go with Omega Supreme as well. If he takes out Megatron, Shendu has very little back-up.

Yeah, as with most of the crowd Im going with Team Omega Supreme.

Jackie only did OK for a few minutes with Shendu, and he had magical talisman removing hands during their one big fight, but Genjo is enough that he could still keep him busy, but not claim the win for himself.

Megatron is actually afraid of OS, not saying hell cower in fear, but his chances of defeating him arent very good at all (To say the least)

From their we have a barely dented OS vs. a pretty spent Shendu, and that doesnt look good for Team Shendu.

Still a pretty close match, so any Pro Shendu supporters dont be afraid to chime in, you could make all the difference for your team.

Yeah, I see Omega taking out Megatron fairly quickly and with little effort. (He worked Megatron and his entire strike force in the original series.)
He can then turn his attention on to Shendu who should get similarly worked. I simply don't see Shendu having the kind of defense and offense it takes to provide a challenge to Omega Supreme.

BTW, in my mind, the whole match has lasted about 60 seconds so far. As soon as the match starts Omega starts shooting.

That will leave Omega's entire team to hunt down and take out Scarlet and Zeta. Which will actually probably take quite a while as both of them are experts at stealth. The only problem is that neither can do anything to Omega and likely cannot hit Zeta. After a several hours hunting them down, losing Dirk and possibly Tygra Omega finally immolates the field to take the win.

Throw me in with the others - Omega Supreme takes down Megatron with out too much difficulty, and Genjo can certainly keep Shendu tied up long enough for Omega Supreme to come back.

i'll toss in yet another vote for team omega supreme...
shendu shouldn't have made it past ryoko.
genjo can hold shendu off long enough for o.s. to smoke megatron.
then it's all downhill.

How can I not vote for team OS? OS will go after Megatron as soon as the bell rings, blow the bolts out of him and then take off after Shendu. Without their HW, team Shendu is not as strong to face off against Team OS. Tygra can take care of Zeta and Scarlett with help from Genjo. I don't see Shendu being able to muster enough fire power to take out OS. Team OS to round 3.

I didnt even see this mathc up........ so

well shedu has invisablity too plus super speed, and his shape change stuff does work on inanimate objects, one time he tried to turn chan into a monkey missed and hit a rock and it turned into a monky statue........so it might work on OS, but even then he chould theoretically turn the others into turtles or some useless animal and then its team shendu vs team OS well ok team shendu without megatron vs OS

Well, you can knock him so senseless that he's considered a KO. Hard, but hardly impossible, almost all the SHWs can do it if he doesn't defend, and several of the tougher ones (like OS) can do it if he does, or if they have good magic/chi (Ryoko, Genie, Oberon I guess) that's immensely painful for him and can KO him as has been shown in the show.

actually they (I dont think anyway) didnt show him beign knocked out by "good" magic when he had all 12 tailismans. he did get knocked out when he didnt have them, unless you count the spell that imprisioned him in the statue.
