The perfect batman movie

With the Batman Begins movie coming up there are a lot of talk about hoping this would be the most accurate and best Batman movie ever.

I hope so too. But I think we had that chance with the first Batman movie if only...

- that Batman movie had Miller's Dark Knight Returns as its setting
- Jack Nicholson played the aging and gritty Batman
- Michael Keaton (Beetle Juice) played teh Joker
- Winona Ryder played Robin (Robin was a girl in Miller's Dark Knight Returns)

Maybe they can still do this after Batman Begins. What dya think?

Dark Knight Returns is overrated IMO. It is a great story, but not Batman's or Miller's best. Batman is best when he's dark, but DKR sometimes was too mean spirited (Joker killing boy scouts). I enjoyed Year One a lot more. I also think that Miller's Daredevil books > DKR.

Plus Eastwood would have been a better old Bruce than Jack, but Eastwood is probably too old now. I think Keaton and Nicholson should be the other way around. And Winona is too old for Robin unless the character is supposed to be a bit older.
