The fights take place in a wide open arena, there is NO projectile weapons allowed (so we dont have someone like deathstroke using his gun to take out the martial arts types) the fight ends when a fighter is KOed or killed....all previous encounters between characters are remembered and each character gets one hour of preptime before there match.

He has all physical and mental characteristics at a superior level, walks around with a suit full of gadgets and frankly, even if Shiva is a better martial artist-martial arts is only one factor in a fight.

I'll give it to her against a normal guy, any size. I'll say she can take out even highly skilled combatants, but batman is on her level and the rest of his attributes are just too much.

Batman all the way, he has prep time so he takes it, he could bulk up the armor on his suit to absorb blows better, or he could make the weights in the points at the bottom of his cape heavier, and LS most likely wouldn't see an attack coming from the cape as Bats rarely uses it, really with Bats the possibility's are endless given prep time, good fight though

Batman normally beats her with help, or the one time she was mind controlled. I can't recall her ever losing in a strait fight. And even with time to get ready, this is still a strait fight, there's not much for Batman to prepare with and he isn't allowed any of his projectile weapons (most of the things in his belt).


That makes it a battle of skill, and Shiva wins that match.

'Projectile' means gun. The rule is specifically stated to be there so the gun wielders can't snipe their opponent at the beginning of the match.
All Batman's weapons are thrown and should therefore be allowed. I made this same point for Nightwing.

Even when he wins, it's never easy and often involves outside circumstances like help from Robin. Rarely is it a strait fight, and Shiva is considered 'the best' for good reason.

She is better in a strait fight, and it's not like he's prepping with resources beyond what he has on him or help (best prep against Shiva: Call Batgirl and doubleteam her) against her with none, she has the hour to prepare and predict as well. My vote: Lady Shiva.

My vote: Lady Shiva. I hope you realise the stuff that batman can fit into his belt. Also even without range it's never a straight fight with batman. He regularly uses batarangs-as-punchdaggers,electrical stun shocks delivered,through contact,contact explosives etc. Shiva on the other hand disdains the use of weapons as for the weak and therefore will only be able to rely on her (amazing) physique and fighting ability. This will give the win for batman as it has done in the past.
