Lizards supporters started comming up at the end, but Starman still has the lead, although voting is not over.

I was playing Heroclix the other day, and building my team, I had 103 points left. I looked at my selection and realized that U HT Batman and R IC Hulk both cost the same. This got me thinking. Just because they are Heroclix equals doesn’t translate back translate back to comics. I think most of us would agree that Hulk could beat Batman in a fight.

That is the idea for this tournament. Every entry will be close to the same amount of points Heroclix wise, but this will be their comic forms fighting!

Rules:
This will be a standard single elimination tournament with 32 combatants. There will be 2 to a fight. They get no knowledge of each other (unless they have fought in the past). The only thing they get is the Heroclix figure of there enemies, and a PAC so they know what the opponent looks like and a bit about what they can do (this can be misleading however, like if they face Electro and think he will try to poison them). They will have 5 minutes to prepare. This is a fight to the death or KO, whichever happens first, and they must fight (no waiting for the opponent to die of starvation). They have with them what they normally carry and what there fig has if it is different. (Like how Bullseye doesn’t carry a gun, but he has one on the fig). If the fig that is being used is the rookie, you do NOT have to treat the fighter like that. (unless the characters powers change dramatically ie: Rouge)

When you vote, please try to justify your answer. You don’t have to write an essay, just a short explanation will do.

Terrain
There are 10 terrains that are all 5 miles in diameter. They will be chosen randomly.
With out further delay…

The Darkness
IN, 37pts.
vs.
Plastic Man
HT, 40pts.

Terrain:
Prairies by Magnito
Very flat land that is covered with corn fields. The corn is high enough that a person could easily hide in it. Going right through the centre of the terrain is a highway. Traffic is light but the occasional car will pass. The only building is a gas station/restaurant/truck stop near the very centre. Inside, there is the owner and a couple of truckers that stopped for a good meal.

21-25pts. winner: Live Wire
26-30pts. winner: Zatanna
31-35pts. winner: Killer Frost

Round 1
Sabertooth vs. Fury: Sabertooth
Starman vs. Lizard: Starman

THE DARKNESS
Jackie Estacado was raised to be a hit man and on his 21st birthday, he was sent by his mafia family to kill Sara Pezzini, the wearer of the Witchblade. To Jackie's dismay, he became possessed by its natural adversary; The Darkness. While wielding this ancient power, Jackie can create anything, from weapons to goblin-like "Darklings" that do his bidding... but his creations turn to dust when exposed to sunlight. Even worse, he must remain celibate since the power of the Darkness immediately passes on from father to son at the moment of conception. For the first time in its long history, the power of the Darkness is used for good as Jackie fights against his own impulses as well as the evil Brotherhood of Darkness and Angelus.

PLASTIC MAN
"Eel "O'Brien's criminal career was cut short when he was shot and doused with acid during a heist at a chemical factory. O'Brien escaped the police but passed out at a nearby monastery. "Eel" woke to discover the acid had given him bizarre stretching powers. Changing his ways, Plastic Man used his ability to fight crime and was joined by Woozy Winks - "the Man Who Cannot Be Harmed." Plas joined the FBI and later became a member of the JLA. He made himself a mortal enemy, when he hit on Circe of the Injustice Gang. Plastic Man can stretch all parts of his body to incredible lengths and shape-change into comical forms.

Agreed. In a darker terrain, The Darkness might have a better shot, but not here. The Darkness will be walking through the corn and start wondering to himself way that one stock is red and yellow...
My vote...
PLASTIC MAN

The Darkness stalks menacingly across the prairie, looking like every creepy guy who's ever marched through cornfields (Brother Justin on Carnivale, Malachi in Children of the Corn, Randall Flagg in The Stand). A rustle to his left causes him to turn in that direction. A flock of crows takes flight, showing him that his quarry won't be found that easily. As he resumes his grim stride, he hears the words, "Crop circle!" as an enormous red and yellow harvester bears down upon him at highway speed. Passing crop dusters note the flattened form of The Darkness in the middle of a grinning cartoon Eel stamped into the corn. Plastic Man to advance.

At night, I'm not sure if they can really hurt each other too much. During the day, he's a guy and Plas is still plas. So plastic man wins (and I wonder if anyone in this division can take him out).
