I was playing Heroclix the other day, and building my team, I had 103 points left. I looked at my selection and realized that U HT Batman and R IC Hulk both cost the same. This got me thinking. Just because they are Heroclix equals doesn’t translate back translate back to comics. I think most of us would agree that Hulk could beat Batman in a fight.

That is the idea for this tournament. Every entry will be close to the same amount of points Heroclix wise, but this will be their comic forms fighting!

Rules:
This will be a standard single elimination tournament with 32 combatants. There will be 2 to a fight. They get no knowledge of each other (unless they have fought in the past). The only thing they get is the Heroclix figure of there enemies, and a PAC so they know what the opponent looks like and a bit about what they can do (this can be misleading however, like if they face Electro and think he will try to poison them). They will have 5 minutes to prepare. This is a fight to the death or KO, whichever happens first, and they must fight (no waiting for the opponent to die of starvation). They have with them what they normally carry and what there fig has if it is different. (Like how Bullseye doesn’t carry a gun, but he has one on the fig). If the fig that is being used is the rookie, you do NOT have to treat the fighter like that. (unless the characters powers change dramatically ie: Rouge)

When you vote, please try to justify your answer. You don’t have to write an essay, just a short explanation will do.

WULF STERNHAMMER
While chasing Max Bubba and his gang through time, Johnny Alpha saved the life of the Norse warrior named Wulf Sternhammer. Wulf was accidentally brought back to Johnny's present and the Viking eventually became Johnny's best friend and partner; one of the few non-mutants to be a Search/Destroy Agent. While he used a variety of weapons, Wulf preferred his gigantic hammer to smash his enemies. After many adventures, Max Bubba returned to have his revenge. Though he died in the battle, Wulf sent many of Bubba's gang members to Valhalla before him.

ROGUE
Raised by the villainess Mystique, Rogue was originally a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Possessing energy draining powers, she stole Ms. Marvel's super strength and flight as well as her memories. Trying to find a way to escape the voice in her head, she turned to the X-Men for help. Rogue has since become a valuable member of the team and the lover of teammate Gambit.

NOTE: This is R Rouge...so she does not have Ms. Marvel's powers.

I want to vote for Rogue but without her Warbird powers, she just can't get close enough to absorb his powers. Wulf will hit meteors at her with his hammer until one hits and she falls...er, floats...motionless.

My vote: Wulf Sternhammer

Wulf gets the weapons he usually carries in the comics, yes?
Not just the hammer?
If he gets his blasters and time grenades then he'll definately take a Rookie Rogue.

Well, if this is Rookie Rogue...then Wulf takes this. There is no way she is going to be able to get close to drain him. Not with him swinging that hammer of his. Any other version of Rogue would take this guy....just not her pre-ms. marvel version. Wulf to win!

I really like Rouge, and when her later version is in this TOC, then she may have a chance. In clix, she is very overcosted for what she can do in the comics. My vote...
WULF STERNHAMMER

Well if he gets his blasters and time grenades then he actually stands a fair chance
against a fair number of the others too.

It seems to me the dudes this around are way more lopsided than they were earilier (which is half the fun of clix vs. comix).

Scarecrow, Plastic Man, Starman, and pre-superbrink rogue in the same division? Fun ^_^

I'm thinking about later on. There are some non-super powered guys that cost a lot of points, (Punisher comes to mind) that won't do very well. Then their are the extemely powerfull for very little, (like Prof. X for 59). I mean, Prof X is in the same catagory as Catwoman.
