Well, I'm just curious how many other HCRealms users are going to be waiting in line to catch the midnight showing.

Where are you going to see it at? How out of the way is it for you? What kind of problems have you had? Lets hear it all!

Come back after the show and post your opinions about the film. How did it all go?

I'll be there in rural Wauseon, Ohio. Can't wait. Just watched Clone Wars over the weekend, which has me psyched, and my bro in law has been playing the video game non-stop for like four days now...

Yup...I'm a loser with almost half of my class.

I'll be at the midnight show with some buddies. $5.25 per ticket for the military rate. Gotta love it.

Spoiler......

Anakin becomes Darth Vader

:tired:

Gee thanks! I guess there's no point in me going to the mid-night showing now!

What? I wasn't going anyway!

I wish I was, but I don't think that I can get tickets now, and I.m not sure I would survive the night, without landing in jail!

Have fun, I hope to see it on Monday. :ermm:

No midnight shows for me, but I do have Thursday off, and only one goal in mind....

That, by day's end, I will have seen Revenge of the Sith.

Yessir, that's me. This will only be the second Star Wars movie I've seen opening day, and the first I've seen at midnight, so I'm very excited for this.

Well, I just got back! I liked it but it could have been better, just like the others. It was good though. I'll post more if anyone responds and after I get some sleep.

Went to see the Midnight showing here in Allentown, PA. The theatre was less than 8 miles from my home...

Revenge of the Sith was AMAZING!!!! SPECTACULAR!!!! STUPENDOUS!!!!

I didn't want it to end. Lucas did a great job in tying up nearly all the loose ends and links to the original trilogy. The only thing that I can recall off the top of my head that wasn't made clear is how Leia remembers seeing her mom's face growing up as she said she did in RotJ. But, I can live with that and chalk it up to Leia's then-latent Force ability.

The theatre where I went showed the movie in two theatres. Both were PACKED! And, yet, there were NO rude animals present who ruined the experience by talking or anything else. It was great to see that many people all getting along and nobody spoiling anyone else's good time.

My best friend, Dave, came all the way from Philly, PA to see it with me here in A-town. Mainly because he said when he saw Episode II's midnight showing back in 2002 in Philly the people in the movie theatre were rude and talkative throughout the entire movie. He was glad he made the trip he said.

What's the deal with Obi-Wan telling Luke that he was going to send him to train with Yoda, and saying that Yoda had trained him ... and now we find out that he didn't? What'd I miss?

Couldn't agree more!

Yeah, that never does get cleaned up. But, whatever. If I can keep up with Marvel and DC's retcons and other silliness, I can deal with this plothole.

I thought about that too. The only thing I can figure out, Yoda kinda taught everyone at one point. Possibly when Obi-Wan was a "youngling" Yoda taught him. That's the best thing I could come up with.

POSSIBLE SPOILER...

Yoda also taught him how to communicate with the dead.

I loved this one. It puts the others to shame. Looking back at the previous prequels, they were simply setting everything up. This could be the reason they lacked and didn't quite contact with most fans and critics.

Can't wait until the weekend to watch it again!!!!!

Yeah, I'm thinking that all I'll need to get now is Clone Wars I and II, and then Episode III. Episodes I and II are pretty useless now.

Yoda worked with all the younglings, they all go to him for guidence when they are older, and he taught him to be more in touch with the living force and contact Qui-Gon.

I also read somewhere that they couldn't figure out why Yoda and Obi-Wan vanished when they died and other Jedi didn't. It's because Qui-Gon taught them to be one with the living force. When they died they just melted into it.

That's just what I believe.

I'll add my X to this role call. Saw it last night at midnight. That's 3 for 3 for me and seeing the first showing for all 3 prequals.

I liked it well enough, and its hard to *really* live up to the 28 years worth of expectations.

I was more than a little dissapointed that some of the movie was laugh out loud bad (writing, acting, and even make-up). And it wasn't just me, there were parts in the film that were meant to be dramatic that the whole theater laughed out loud at.

Other than that, it was pretty good. I don't think I'll watch it again in the theater though.

@Ro-gan
Philly theaters are awful. I saw it in the philly 'burbs, and the audience was really well behaved. (I would have grabbed some geek's toy lightsabre and beaten anyone whose cell phone rang durring the show!)
The theater really beat to death the point of silencing cell phones. Which was pretty cool.

It made me think that cell phones are the modern day equivalent of "no smoking in this theater" notices.

I couldn't agree any more, save actually BEING azs.

It looked amazing. Unbelieveably visual candy.

however...

"hold me Ani, the way you did by the lake on Naboo when all that mattered was our love"

I DARE you not to laugh at that...

Oh, did anyone see any interesting costumes waiting in line for tickets? Here's a few of them we saw:

- Bathrobe Jedi (checker pattern bathrobe w/ a lightsaber... just lazy)
- Episode II Padme (who cut about 2/3 of the line w/ her boyfriend  )
- Tiny Boba Fett (little kid about 3 years old with a VERY detailed Boba costume, he got applause from the crowd everywhere he went)
- Darth Buzz (guy in a plasticy Buzz Lightyear costume with a lightsaber, friends and I gave him the unofficial name)
- Karate Jedi (couple guys trying to pass of plain black and white gis as Jedi/Sith robes... not even any lightsabers  )

I didn't laugh. Sure, it was kind of corny. But, no more cornier than the drivel written and spoken in Soaps.

I also like Shakspearian Theatre and SW is one big, epic Soap Opera.
