I miss him in Gary the Rat.

Oh well, he'll be a good McCoy.

He'd BETTER be CG, because I have no desire to see Kelsey Grammer coated in blue fur and running about in his undies.

Agreed!

I think that he will make a good Beast actor-wise. Since Kelsey kas always played the itellectual type.

But physically.......uh...NO! :p

What a prude. Straight AND narrow. Minds are like parachutes, they only function when packed properly. Hmmm... I probably shouldn't have said "packed" in this context...

Juggernaut will be in the film, and it's been said he'll be wearing a rubber muscle suit. Thus, Rubbernaut.

It's obvious to me that this thread is filled with DC drones, who only posted this to bash Marvel.

Man I just found this out and thought i'd be breaking the story :(

LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Kelsey Grammer, best known as the egghead radio psychiatrist on "Frasier," has been cast as the hirsute yet astute mutant Beast in the upcoming "X-Men 3."
Although Grammer is an unexpected choice to play the muscular, blue-furred mutant, the actor's articulate, modulated speech is a match for Hank McCoy, the intelligent biochemist man-creature.
Playing the beauty to Grammer's beast is "Lost" actress Maggie Grace, who is in talks to star as Kitty Pryde, the young mutant with the ability to "phase" through objects by rearranging her atoms, report news sources. In the Marvel universe, Kitty had a brief romance with Colossus, has a pet dragon-like animal named Lockheed and was once mentored by Wolverine.
Soccer player Vinnie Jones -- who appeared in director Matthew Vaughn's "Snatch" and "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" -- has also been recruited to play Juggernaut, Professor X's stepbrother who later gained superhuman strength though mystical means and joined forces with X-Men nemesis Magneto.
"X-Men 3" is scheduled for release in for Memorial Day weekend 2006.
Grammer, 50, has won numerous Emmys for his lead role in "Frasier." On the big screen he starred in "Down Periscope" and has voiced characters in "Anastasia," "Toy Story 2" and "Teacher's Pet."
Grace, 21, plays the spoiled Shannon on ABC's drama "Lost." She is currently starring opposite Tom Welling in the remake of "The Fog," which will be released in the fall.

Please, tell you're joking...

Can't wait for the conversation between Alan Cumming and Grammer. If only I could be a fly on the wall for that...

I'm torn.

I think he'll be good as the voice of Beast, but I'm worried about how they're going to handle the CG aspect of Beast. I mean, he could just be another....*shudder* Jar Jar. Only smart, and probably less annoying.

I find it really hard to think of anything MORE annoying than jar jar, so that's probably an accurate statement.
