Well, its been one wild ride to get us all this far. Before we start Id like to thank everyone who has been with me throughout most or even all of these TOCs. Without your constant participation in these little threads, there wouldnt have been a second TOC, let alone number 16 now.

Hope you all enjoy, tell your friends about this and lets see if we cant make this one of the Best TOCs Ever. Thanks all. :)

Anyone wishing to vote MUST give a reason why you believe the character youre voting for should win. Any votes that are simply "Character X" or "Person Y" will NOT be counted and basically ignored overall. Thanks.

Also, as with the first set of Comics TOCs, there is NO DOWNLOAD of the opponents here. Characters will know about their opponents only if they have crossed paths in the comics before.

The terrain is 25 miles in diameter, as always, protected by a force field of the strongest power to prevent characters from escaping or flying their foes to the sun.

Now without further adieu, allow me to present your next battle in an Age Old type of Tournament Of Champions:

ORION

VS.

GENERAL ZOD

As always, same rules apply, no time to prepare, POOFed from where ever they were, with only what they routinely carry on them AND/OR routinely used, to fight in a Large 25 mile wide area til one stands and one falls. YOU decide Who.

Randomly Chosen Area:

Dark Jungle: This rainforest is home to all manner of exotic wildlife and plants. Gigantic trees stretch high over head, their thick, leafy canopies blotting much of the sun out. Vines and foliage climb over everything. Ancient, long forgotten ruins sit along a wide, placid river which drifts in from the North West, and exits out the South East. A few places are shallow enough to be forded, but over all this water is deep. In the rainy season like this, a monsoon can blow up out of no where and drench the entire arena with raindrops almost the size of golf balls.

Thanks all, and enjoy.

And REMEMBER, if youre not sure who someone is here, ASK. Theres PLENTY of people here who can tell you most anything youd like to know. Thanks again.

ALSO, please do your best to respect everyones votes, reasonings and opinions here. If you believe your character should win, but doesnt in the end, dont hold grudges against the character that beat yours, or call the votes that allowed this to happen "fanboy" arguments or plain and simply wrong. We all have our own way of thinking and voting here, with each one of our thoughts and ideas as valid as your own. Lets do what we can, even in the heat of an argument, to respect that. Thanks.

Hmmm....good match.

Orion typically looses to Superman, but Zod lacks Clark's experience and character.

Hmmm....good match.

Orion typically looses to Superman, but Zod lacks Clark's experience and character.

Zod has the power though, and typically, Zod will be able to take out orion more than 50% of the time. Zod is clever and powerful...Orion, not as powerful. Zod to move on.

Zod is the equal to Superman in all of his abilities, and is as vicious as hell (as Orion can be as well) If he destroys Orions Mother Box and/or Astro Glider, hes going to be severely hard pressed to win against Dark Superman here (who unlike Bizarro is NOT dumb at all)

My Vote - General Zod

Eh, Orion's got some nice cover with the jungle, and he can easily bring the fight to Zod.

I can see Orion winning more of the time.

Vote: Orion.

The only way Orion has a chance if he stealths a bit in the jungle to get a first strike in. I don't see Orion doing this since he a a warrior and will probably just want to take the fight straight to Zod. I'm going with Zod on greater strength.

Zod. From what others have said, he's Dark Superman, and I know Orion hasn't got enough in him to overcome that.

The Jungle is going to be leveled, though.

I'll toss in my vote. This is a good fight. Orion gets beat by Superman, but Zod doesn't have Supes expirience, even if he does have his power. I think that Zod with take it, but it would be a good fight. My vote...
GENERAL ZOD

i'm under the impression that orion will want to take this fight straight to zod.
which completely blows his chance of winning.
i've seen more instances of orion charging in without thinking, than orion planning and using strategy.

in a straight up fight, zod will win more often than not.
i'll toss a vote in for zod.

I'm going to chip in with a vote for Orion for a couple reasons.

1. Zod isn't a hero, Orion won't be holding anything back either at the start, or at any time during the fight. There is no psychological barrier, such as when fighting Superman (which is there if the person knows Kent, even if they try not to be bound by it, there's still that 'I'm fighting Superman' thought running arround through their head).

2. Zod lacks Superman's experience. He has the powers sure, but not the full knowledge and understanding Clark Kent does.

3. Tenacity/Will to Win, Zod just doesn't have Superman's tenacity, or will to win. Superman typically carries arround the burden that he 'can't' loose. For Zod, he can always run away, lick his wounds, and fight again another day, because heros won't kill him. Superman (even in non super-villian fights) will fight longer, try harder as if he looses, then it might really all be over.

But on the flip side, doesn't Zod rely on his suit more than Orion relies on his gear? (which regenerates anyway).

It'll be hard as heck to destroy, but that's the the Astro-force and the legendary endurance of the scion of Darksied are for.

My vote: Orion

My Vote is for Orion because......

You hear people go on about how amazingly stong Clark is when he goes all out fighting...well Orion is like that all the time he is incredibly intense all the time unlike these cocky kryptonians who seem to coast for 75% of a fight then rely on their amazing strength to pull out a win at the end. You cant do that against someone like Orion he is probably on level with Supermans power and is at least a equal if not a more experienced fighter then Clark as well and since Clark is better and much more experienced then Zod i'd say that Orion takes this especially with his Motherbox and the Astroforce.

Orion kneels before Zod. Zod may not be as experienced, but he is relentless and ruthless. After all, he did break Superman's jaw, right?

I will toss in a vote for Zod, an evil superman is down right scary. Orion shoud be out of this fight before he knows it.

Ah, but keep in mind as well, what makes General Zod so dangerous is that also unlike Superman HE TOO goes all out in battle. He shows no mercy, no pity, no remorse, and unlike Orion, doesnt fly into a berserker battle rage in combat. If General Zod is the equal to Superman physically, then simply put, hes faster, stronger and tougher than Orion (not to mention more clever and cunning than the headstrong New God as well)

Itll be an unreal fight (why I choose it for Round 1, Match 1), but Orion isnt beating Superman any time soon, and while I recognize Zod isnt 100% Superman, hes close enough to get the win from Orion more than not.

Excellent match and very close either way but I have to say Zod even without the experience of superman Zod is nasty as hell. Orion has a good chance, but the Dark Superman is way too much here.

I keep hearing people discuss how Zod is relatively inexperienced but hopefully someone can clarify something for me. Wasn't it recently revealed in Azzarello's run that armoured Zod is essentially "possessed" by the original General Zod? If so that means that not only does Zod have the experience from the time in his "armoured form" (he's had some pretty serious activity and plots during that time) but also his "classic form" (inc. time spent as a military mastermind plus time in the Zone watching Clark and Co.)? I'm a little confused by only having been able to grab bits and pieces of Brian's run so I could definitely use some de-mystifying of the situation. :)

You are correct this is the orginal back form apparent death at supermans hand. So yes he is experineced. The other reaosn i give him the vote is that even if we give Orion an equal strenhth level his is only derived when in a berserker rage, and although thats helpful if your opponent is just a powerhouse thug, its no good against a powerhouse thinker. He didnt get to be general Zod ruler of bakistan and i beleive Krypton by going to the juggernaut school of mastemind.

Zod for the win here. I would give reasoning here, but mine have already been posted in better words then mine.
