So if you have seen ROTS, did it overtake your previous favorite? It didn't for me, but it made my Top 3. My list:

My list:

Empire Strike's Back-eh, it's a cool lightsabre duel in the end that you got to like. Plus it's Darth Freakin' Vader and no lame Ewoks.

Revenge of the Sith-Similar to Empire Strikes Back, but seemingly worse acting, the lightsabre duels are a lot more spectacular and make up for it.

A New Hope-It's always a classic, Darth Vader steals the entire show and Peter Cushing is always a classic.

Return of the Jedi-It's the emotional confrontation between father and son that pretty much secure this movie higher than the others. Ewoks were a precursor to Jar Jar Binks however . . .

Phantom Menace-Darth Maul made this movie good. Everything else made this movie not so great. If it weren't for Jar Jar Binks it would be on a level akin to New Hope or Revenge of the Sith . . .

Attack of the Clones-Hayden Christensen. 'Nuff said. However Chris Lee really helped made this movie a non-Batman and Robin movie at least.

The Empire Strikes Back is still the best. Vader was at his peak in that movie. ROTS is second only because you truly see how evil palpatine is. He is truly the Dark lord of the sith. Vader maybe more powerful but he is the true master.

The Empire Strikes Back: Lots of crucial stuff happens here, but the big draw of this movie is that just about everything that possibly could go wrong for the Rebellion does go wrong. It's not tragedy on quite the same scale as Episode III, but the overall quality is better IMHO.

Revenge of the Sith: The movie that not only makes it worth your while to watch the first two prequels but also manages to wrap up a multitude of plot threads while providing excellent segues into future ones. If the first 2 prequels can be looked at as planning and setting up a domino track, this one is just like setting it off and watching it all come falling down.

A New Hope: Still the best stand-alone movie of the series. Vader is a big black obelisk of pure evil and coolness, Luke is a perfect (if a touch whiny) everyman to rise to the occasion, Han's at his most cynical and hostile... and let's not forget Porkins. Poor, poor Porkins. Think he smelled of bacon going down in flames?

Return of the Jedi: Everything finally comes to a head here, but I've always felt that this one drags just a little bit here and there. It could have a bit to do with Han losing a bit of his edge and being out of his element (piloting the Falcon), but overall things feel off. Plus, let's not forget the Ewoks...

Attack of the Clones: The best example of "style without substance" of the series. Lots of pretty visuals, big battle scenes, and some interesting characters save this one from the bottom of the pile, but the phoney baloney wooden acting in too many places (I'm looking at YOU Hayden...) makes this one a stinker overall. "This party's over" indeed.

The Phantom Menace: Ugh. Just... ugh. The only real redeeming quality of this movie was Darth Maul, who should've been the prequel trilogy's Darth Vader. Little Anakin (who's a better actor than teen Anakin but is more annoying due to the squeaky voice) and Jar-Jar (Meesa great beeg bombad stereotype Missa Loocas!) are the anchor that weighs this pile of feces down.

Phantom Menace over Empire? You are crazy. ;)

My List:

1. Empire
2. RotS
3. New Hope
4. RotJ
5. Attack o' Clones
6. Phantom Menace (if there was no Jar Jar or 5 hour pod race, I'd put this over Clones just because of Qui-Gon Jinn)

Also, if we could count the Clone Wars cartoon, that'd be 2.1 on the list.

LOL!

I wasn't bothered by Jar Jar, or the midichlorian count. Jar Jar added the comic relief that we were used to seeing from 3PO, R2, Jawas, and Ewoks; and I was fine with that.

Plus Maul just totally kicks arse. And the Pod racing was sweeeet! It captured that SW feel for me, and remided me why I loved the original trilogy so much.

As for Empire, I'm not sure why people liked it, but I didn't find it as cool as ROTJ.

But you know what they say, different strokes for different folks.

The things that bother others don't bother me, and I really enjoyed that movie.

The Gungans, midichlorians, and Anakin, didn't cause me any problems. Plus, Qui-Gon and Maul are two of my Favs in the SW universe.

Oh come on now!
The only thing bad about AotC was the name of the movie. The Geonosis battle scenes and finally getting to see Yoda get down and dirty with a lightsabre made it entirely worth it.

I'd rank them this way...

RotS
ANH
AotC

My ranking doesn't make ATOC bad. I have really enjoyed, and liked every movie so far. There is NO bad SW movie, IMHO.

And the annoying C-3P0 puns, and the terrible, terrible acting, worse than in any other movie, as well as the start of the convoulted Seperatist plotline which I still don't think makes much sense, and the stiff romance.

As Darth Sabre said, being last doesn't demean Jedi. The worst Star Wars movie is still lightyears better than anything else.

Annoying C-3PO puns sucked, yeah, and the acting is a lot worse in Revenge, but it's still pretty bad.

I get why the people wanted to secede from the Republic, think of the separatists as the South and the Republic as the North in the US Civil War. The South wanted to do things their way, so they decided to up and leave. North needed to stay together so it's war time . . .

Stiff romance? At least Natalie Portman seemed to emote in that one . . .

Eh, I think I'll switch my choices ever so slightly:

Empire Strikes Back

Revenge of the Sith

A New Hope

Phantom Menace-The only thing that really gets on my nerves is Jar Jar-other than the fact that the Pod Race took everything anti-climatic out of the climax of this film.

Return of the Jedi-Ewoks; percursors to Jar Jar Binks, that and there's really only one cool fight scene . . .

Attack of the Clones-Acting=bad, plotline seemed unnecessary, etc. etc. However Chris Lee and some other cool fight scenes make this movie far better than Batman and Robin and just about any other movie of ####.
