With all respect to all the SW fans. I must confess what I'm tenting to buy a started of the Star Wars miniatures.

I never was a SW fan but even in my country the Star Wars fan was amazing sinse the old trilogy

I even saw the movie 2 times! one in the premiere and the other because one friend wanna see it with me and a lot of more firneds BUT.

Come on! is not enough already?? the history was coll but is finish complete and when will be out of current "fame"??

How many thread of SW we have now in hcreams (counting this ;) how many people are quicking to HC for SW minis? you really think the infinity comic characteres are less cool than one only history of a bunch of good characteres??

I mean, how many more SW minis xpansions with KNOW characteres they can made??

The HC fans are collection heroclix sinse 4 years now? how many years you think the SW minis fan will collect this new hot game??

Well, Star Wars is soo much more than the 6 movies. There is an entire Universe, with a loong history and from what I understand, great continuity. And it' safe to say that SW has history that is almost half as long as Marvel's history. So it's not a fad, because SW has had a steady following for almost 30 years. There are characters that we don't see in the 6 movies that are known by SW enthusiats, and have a long and storied history. They just don't appear in the movies.

I have been a Star Wars fan for over 20 years and a comic fan for abour 27 years.

Not everyone is quitting Heroclix for SWM. Some are exploring another game, because sometimes, Heroclix gets dull. Everyone has their reasons. I'm not quitting Heroclix, I'm picking up SWM.

As for SW mini, it has a great following and it's getting bigger. In my area, it has surpassed Heroclix as the number 2 game (behind Magic). People say it's a flash in the pan, I say-that's what they said about the SW:TCG game, and it's still going strong 3 years after the game was released. WOTC seems to know who to keep the SW fans happy. So I forsee the minis lasting for longer than detractors give it credit for.

The game was a smashing success before Ep III came out, and seems to have increased in popularity.

So I think it'll be around for awhile.

Pick it up if there are people in your area playing it. and give it a try before you start buying boosters and such. It seems like it could be fun, once you get into it.

It was cool using Vader to Force choke my wife's characters, when we played our first game tonight. :devious: I look forward to playing some more. Plus the fact that my wife is willing to play a minis game (or at least try it out), makes it a bonus for me.

No such luck with Heroclix. She doesn't like Super-Heroes as much as she likes Star Wars. Plus I think it's gotten so complicated, that she would get frustrated, even if she would give it a chance. :ermm:

I bet that soon Lucas will come out with Episodes 7-9 within a decade. If there's a buck to made, Lucas will be all over it, brotha!

If not Lucas, then somebody with his permission. There's too much potential money in this franchise that it would be insane not to continue the franchise.

I'm waiting for Star Wars gas stations myself. Not only will it be expensive because of the current gas situation, but they could charge more because it's "Star Wars Gasoline."

Yeah way too much money to be made so many untold plotlines to be explored......he'll cave and make at least one more possible 3 more movies....and he should continue the animated series it looks awesome...
