do NOT trade with this guy, he is 2 weeks late in sending my items and despite several request for a delivery confirmation # i never get one....all i get is "it was sent out already, should get it in another day or so".
he lurks the boards late at night looking for trades, we had agreed to 2 trades & after some arguing he agreed to send first (he had a 0 feedback # at the time). he has still tried to ask me to send the items for several days after the initial trade took place but i decided to wait until his end showed up....glad i did.
again, dont trade with this guy or at the very least make him send FIRST!!!!
i believe him to be a bad trader.

Note to self: Never trade with 15 year olds!
I resent that. There are plenty of responsible 15 year olds out there. In fact, several people I know have made good trades on these boards are only 15 and 16 year olds.

Hey I'm 15 and I've got plenty of trades done here, and I have no problem with how old anybody is. What is this about calling Dimebag darrell a dirtbag? Not to get into it but dont call someone who is a great musician and probably a great guy a dirt bag because you dont like that kind of music or whatever your reason is.

Bet you 75 cents, it's Kentucky.
Woh, mother ####er, I'm from Louisville Kentucky, big difference than rural Kentucky. Louisville is the 16th biggest city in the country, not as redneck as you would assume. The stereotypes are horse####, and where are you from? #### you and anyone else who wants to talk #### about Kentucky.
Oh, and 50 Cent does suck.

Man why are you freaking out? He probably just thought the guy was from kentucky.
That's not the case at all. It's ####ing annoying having to hear people constantly talk #### about people from Kentucky. Yes, some parts of Kentucky are pretty bad, but Louisville is completely different, it's like any other big U.S. city. And, not everyone from here is what people see as the stereotype. The guy that said that is from Pennsylvania. Not even Philly or Philadelphia, but some some town. Now, I've been to Pennsylvania, and some the rural #### is just like rural Kentucky. His town is better than Louisville orbigger, not at all. Louisville is bigger than Pittsburgh. So, people need to know what the #### they're talking about, it's that simple.

again, dont trade with this guy......big time scammer

Well, #### getting pelted with coffee cups does suck. Louisville's police department made the top ten for worst in the country. They constantly abuse anyone of color. There is a big deal going on here, and there has been for years, that they target minorities, and it is true to a certain extent. At least our police chief is black now. 1 look at both of our feedback will show who is the liar.
you failed to respond to a dozen PMs i sent you about our trades AFTER you said my items were sent out......you were supposed to send first, agreed to it, took my address, then claimed about 4 seperate times my items were on the way while BEGGING me to send my end before i got your items you swore had been mailed.........its been 3+ weeks and they still havent shown up.......you were just hoping to trick me into send simul-send (like fuzzyelf39) so you could steal my items like you stole his.......bad news, after the feedback he left you & the thread I started about you in the traders forum you will always be asked to send first now........hope it was worth it.
again i am not saying to not trade with you.......but i am sure as hell making it a point to make you send first!!!

Just so you know, thedon99, my original post wasn't a joke at Kentucky's expense (those are just too easy).
I was referencing an unusually high number of scams that originated in the Louisville area about 2 years ago (2002-3). The person responsible had all sorts of names mostly centered around the "50 Cent" name.
But, way to fly off the handle, it sure was entertaining. :p

i lived in kentucky a while back, and i have to say, as a person of colors i have to say kentucky was interesting.
i am not a ghetto-thug gangbanger wanna be.
i used to teach self defense to some of the police officers in richmond va years back.( miss ya vanessa and jim!)
my dress style is very atypical. my style if you will was closer to goth than anything else, and that was just because my whole wardrobe was black and red.
so the first night in berea my girlfriend (not of color ;)) wanted to go to wal-mart for icepops. from the moment i walked in the front door the security guard followed me around. to the toy aisle to see what new star wars figures were out, to the mens clothing to buy new socks and underwear, and then to the checkout line, where he actually stood at the back of the line i was in. when i told my gf about this she said i was being silly. so i suggested that we switch lines to a shorter line any way. so we did and he followed us again any way!
now this was not typical of how i was treated by everyone, but it was a great way to set a pace.
i was never in any trouble with the law, and most everybody tried to be friendly (though, if you have never had the fortune of being 'that black guy that works at sonic (pronounced saw-nik for the locals ;) )then let me suggest that you try that at least once.
for a month, anyone that wanted to say hi to me would approach and just as jolly as they could be say something to that effect.
once we took my gf's kids to the park, where a little boy no more than 4 approaches me and tells me that he knows who i am. so i kind of smile and get ready to hear about sawnik again.
he says' you're the guy from reading rainbow. you don't talk like you but yer you.'
his granma almost had a heart attack! she continued to apologize for more than 5 minutes, explaining that he has never really seen any body of color in person before, and so on..
i thought it was funny, and didn't take offense, as he was just a kid, but there was a certain amount of state of awareness that made me a litle sad from it though, ya know?
how do you not know wha a person of another race is?
while i never got any problems with 'the klan' i did have to handle a few threats with 'aggressive negotiations'. i had to hold off a couple of guys until the cops got to the arcade and stopped it. ironically, they came down really hard on the white guys, and suggested to me to watch where i go.
what a strange thing to say, right?
any way, that is my kentucky story.
there was a game store in richmond where i introduced a bunch of the locals to aliens vs predator, but i moved eventually, so i don't know if any of them are still gamers or not.
maybe they play clix now...?
if ya played avp in richmond, ky and your on here now drop me a line some time!

What part of Kentucky, it can't be Louisville, because it seems that half of the city is black. Hell, I took African-American history senior year of high school, (I was one of two white people in the class), and I had a blast. My favorite class ever.
I honestly don't have a lot of experience in the backwoods of Kentucky, just Louisville. I will say this, our police treat people of color like ####. But, a lot of major cities do that. So, where were you living?

Oh, I know that, but getting arrested for a blunt? When the average murderer serves seven years, alcohol is way worse, rapists get away with more, and half of our murders go unsolved every year. It seems like a waste of time to me. A citation makes more sense. You're not getting away with anything, you still have to go to court etc. That makes a lot more sense.

Well, you and I agree at one place. The punishments for more serious crimes, such as #### and murder, are far too leniant. However a Citation is for people who arguably did not know they broke the law. People who drove too fast because, whoops, they didn't notice. Stuff like that. It's also hypocritical since marajuana is Kentucky's number one cash crop, not tobacco. It's okay to make money off it apparently. It's only cool to smoke if it's taxable.
Oh for the love of... it isn't a cash crop if it isn't taxed. Just because the people who sell it rake in the money selling it doesn't mean it's a cash crop. That income isn't taxed, it surely isn't going towards the state. So referring to it as a cash crop of a state is false because not one dime of marijuana sales ever makes it into the states pocket. Unless a senator makes some cash on the side dealing.

Well, you and I agree at one place. The punishments for more serious crimes, such as #### and murder, are far too leniant. However a Citation is for people who arguably did not know they broke the law. People who drove too fast because, whoops, they didn't notice. Stuff like that. You deliberately carried this stuff around. You thumbed your nose at Johnny Law and you paid the price for it.
Look, I'm trying to be cool about it, calm down Dad. I respect your opinion, but you don't need to lecture me, I'll do what I want, how I want, when I want. Actually, a lot of police officers think that arresting someone for a small amount of bud is a waste of time too. Take it, write a citation, and be done with it.

Okay, by not doing anything about it is condoning it. It's common knowledge, yet, noone seems to care. Alcohol is worse, and if they made it legal, then our national debt could be wiped out in one year. You know how much money our country would make if it was legal?

I do agree with you, I do believe they should legalize it then tax the heck out of it. I do not think it would pay off our national debt. I do think it would be a nice chunk of change for schools and roads. Although the money would more than likely go to Iraq if it were. But it won't even be close to legalized until sometime around 2012 anyway. So until it is I would say smoke all you want to at home... but don't be a bonehead and carry it out in public with you!

Duly noted. I have stopped carrying it around, and I agree, if you get caught, that's the way it goes. Maybe I should elaborate. That whole post about getting arrested really had more to do with how corrupt our P.D. is. The way they treat minorities is ridiculous, and we have a preposterous murder rate. My point is that they should spend more time on important #### like that, not little nickel and dime ####.
I have no record at all, it was expunged, my lawyer is unstoppable, and it's been a couple of years since I got busted. I have learned my lesson, I still smoke, I am just more discreet about it, and try to be careful.

Mine is the other way around! Clyde then the Hoya Destroya! I used to have Clyde's Fleer R Card. But it was stolen at the same time all my cards an comics were. :( I paid cash for it, in OR (IIRC it was about 20% more than Beckett's Guide High) about 12 years ago. One of the highlights of my sports card collection! :( *sigh*
Funny I'm from NYC so I always root for the Knicks, but adpoted the Blazers when I moved here and got into Basketball as a spectator sport!

Well, holy ####, I may have found a new best friend. Remember when everyone jocked the #### out of the Bulls and Michael Jordan? I've always hated him and the Bulls. Rooted for the Bad Boys against them, rooted for the Blazers, Knicks, hell, even the Cavs. The Knicks could never beat them, but they beat them to death physically. :)
The Fleer Drexler rookie card is the one I have. Sorry yours got stolen, that sucks immensely. It's rare to find someone that likes Drexler and Ewing other than myself, they are hardly the most popular players of their era.

But BLASPHEMY on your description of his skills. The guy had a killer jumpshot for a center. It's a shame he retired with no ring. It certainly wasn't for his lack of trying.

That's right we have. Most of my hatred for them was jealousy, I admit it, but still I hate them all. Yes, Starks dunking on Jordan and Pippen, fantastic stuff. How about when Starks was laying on the ground and tripped Pippen? Excellent!

Man, I go take a Ewing sized dump and this thread blows up!
I will admit, he DID have a great jump shot. As for Shaq, I used to think he was cool, but after watching him dunk and dunk and walk and dunk some more, maybe throw in the occasional three foot hook shot, I grew sick of watching him play. The guy gets paid millions and can't even make a shot outside of five feet from the basket. Says he makes free throws "when they count". How about making them all the time, then your teams would win more games and you wouldn't have to make them at the end because you'd already be up ten points from the ones you made earlier!!!!!!!!!!!

I grew up watching Jordan and he's been one of my favorite players of all-time. Not because he won, but the dude just worked so hard on both ends of the court and refused to lose.
Other players I've grown up loving (although I wouldn't sleep with them):
Larry Legend - His shot wasn't pretty, but he was money. I never got tired of watching him play.
The Worm - Off the court sideshow withheld, he was one of the most fun players to watch. Hustle, hustle, hustle and a very smart player. Loved him with the Bad Boys and couldn't believe it when he was gonna be playing along side Jordan. Those were three great years of basketball for me.
J-Will - While he's sorta disappeared now that he doesn't play for the Kings anymore, he's a hometown boy here and he can handle the ball like a freakin' god. Has a pretty good shot too.
AI - So small, so talented, and like Jordan, he refuses to lose. The guy will play with a broken spine if he can, while most players will take a seat on the bench, collect their paychecks, and watch while nursing that ingrown toenail.
KG - So talented and so unselfish that it almost makes me sick to watch him play because he almost seems to refuse to dominate like he could if he didn't try to get his whiney teammates the ball so much instead.
Seeing that I don't live in a city where there's an NBA team...or any Pro sports franchise for that matter, I've always just followed my favorite players, rather than specific teams.

LOL about yor Ewing sized dump. As long as you admit the man had skills. I appreciate a big man that has game outside of ten feet-like Ewing, Olajawon, and David Robinson. Those are the great centers of that era, Shaq is boring and has no skills to speak of. If you or I were 7'1" and weighed 350 lbs, we could do the same #### he does.
Ewing was a great rebounder, shot blocker, had a nice post up game, and the best jump shot ever for a center.

I love AI, for the same reasons you do. KG, same thing. Larry-of course, he put white players on the map in the 80's, not to mention he's top three player of all time in my eyes.
Jordan-like I said, he's the best ever, but I hate him, he was a jerk to his teammates, remember the Steve Kerr incident? He's not as good of aguy as people want to believe, in additon to cheating on his wife. Considering the Bulls always knocked the Knicks out of the play-offs, I can't like him or his team.

Well, a couple of yeats ago, there was a listing of worst police departments in the U.S. and Louisville was top ten. It was on the Discovery Channel. It hasn't gotten any better. Now that Louisville has merged with Jefferson County it is the 16th biggest city in the U.S. We have a freakin' sign that says that. Isn't that sad?
I love Louisville, I said that in my previous posts, it's got the same problems any good size city would have. That discussion was between me and Doomstriker is pretty much over.
