hypothetically speaking..... say i was involved in a trade.
say we hammered out the details of the trade on saturday, the 11th of june.
i pm'ed on monday the 13th to let the person know the money order was sent.
i pm'ed on the 17th and the 20th checking on the status of the money order.
i received a response on the 22nd, letting me know that the m.o arrived and they would send soon.
i still haven't received any word if the items were actually sent.

i know my trader rating is low.... so maybe i don't warrant pm's yet.
i'm a stickler for pm'ing when i send and recieve item involved in a trade.

i'm just curious, am i expecting too much by way of communication?
if i were to leave a neutral feedback once my items arrive, would i be in the wrong?
should i leave a positive feedback, and privately tell this person their communication skills stink?

like the title says, i'd appreciate any imput.
thanks :)

I would be patient for a few more days at least. Often times life gets in the way, and maybe the person does not check the board every day.

They did confirm that the money arrived and that they would send. They may not send another pm just to say "yep I sent".

A good trader / seller would communicate very clearly with you. Sometimes things do come up - and it can be forgiveable, but rarely does something prevent you from at least sending a PM.

You can check to see when said seller was last online. Check his Good Trader list. If he hasn't been on since you last heard from him then he could be busy and even sent out what you bought and hasn't gotten a chance to PM you.

If he's been on and hasn't PM'd you, send one to him just asking if he had a chance to get the stuff you bought out yet since you have a game coming up and would like to plan on using he new pieces.

Good luck...

always use delivery confirmation and require the same. that way you have an independant verification of shipment. Once the Delivery Confirmation number is given to you, you can check the progress of the shipment. If they agree to give you one and don't you know there is something up.

In future trades I would seriously suggest this.

for the above hypothetical agreement, I would say that if it shows up excessively late a neutral feedback wouldn't be uncalled for. If they comunicate with you or it shows up reletivly soon, I'd say a private mention would be the best course. and obviously you'd give them bad feedback if it never arrived and blab their name all over the realms!
