Seriously, why do the Inhumans wear masks? Think about it...they don't have alter egos...they all live amongst each other...many of them are family...they get their powers through a public rite of passage (kinda like a bar mitzvah).

Do they even have real names? I mean, Black Bolt wasn't born Black Bolt, was he?

Why all the secrecy? C'mon! Drop the masks!

The Inhumans gain new names after going through the Terragen Mists to reflect their new abilities.

The real world reason: It was a superhero comic so they needed to look like superheroes or kids wouldn't buy the comic.

My fathead reason: That's the way Jack Kirby imaged them to look like.

My fanboy reason: That was the way of the Inhuman culture. It was probably ritualistic in some manner dealing with the terrigen mists. Also they look way cooler that way.

Karnak Gorgon and Triton are their real names.

Black Bolt's is just the shortened version of Blackagar Boltagon

Kinda like calling him "Stevie!"

Crystal- Crystalia Amaquelin Maximoff, Medusa- Medusalith Amaquelin

Black Bolt wears the costume with the hood and antennea because it is sound proof and helps him control his powers.
Gorgon might wear a mask and it might be a shadow from his head band. Karnak is part of a religious order and his outfit is like what they all wear.
Medusa started wearing a mask when she was part of the Frightful Four and Triton and Crystal never have worn masks.
I dont think that any of the other Inhumans wore masks. With their mutating they really havent needed them.
