Mine use to be Bennigans. Until they changed there menu around. It sucks now. One of the main things for me is it has to have Coke Products. Can't stand pepsi. Still trying to figure out a nice place to go and eat at.
Whats your favorite Restaurant? Lets try something not fast food. You can put down your favorite fast food spot also, if you want.

Red Robin - awesome burgers, beer, and bottomless bucket o' french fries. You can't go wrong with that restaurant.
As far as places that people here would have heard of...
Longhorn--great steaks, nice rednecky atmosphere...I fit right in!
There's a place about an hour from where I live called Krautmann's Corner, and they have the best steak I've ever eaten.
St-Dumas

This place near my house called Tangletown. Excellent fries and very good burgers.

My favourite restaurant is Mongos, a chain of Mongolian restaurants.
They have a buffet with a lot of different foods, ordinary and exotic. You chose your combination of ingredients from the buffet and they turn it into a meal.
Oh, and it's all you can eat.
A little expensive, but nonetheless the best place ever.
If you live near Philly, Morimoto's is the best place to go. You know Morimoto, the guy from Iron Chef. Best Sushi and Saki you'll ever ever have.
As for chaing, I have to agree with Red Robin. Every time I see the bilboards for that place that tell me not to lick the bilboard, I want to lick the bilboard.

I adore Red Robin, see the best burger thread a few months back.
Red, Hot & Blue is good too..
For a non- corporate chain with a few restaurants - Here in Philly try El Azteca on Grant near Bustleton ( I know there is another location too) or Copa-banana... They have a great Mojito and the food is good too..
Ohhhhh, I have to rank a few....
5. Applebees
4. Ruby Tuesday
3. Whiskey Creek
2. Red Lobster
and for #1......
Old Chicago

Favorite fast food would be Yoshinoya. They do this incredible beef bowl dish (or they did, before Japan stopped importing North American beef) that's, like, two bucks - and they're the only thing in Japan that's open 24 hours. They've got some locations in LA and Orange County, but it's just not the same. Also a huge fan of Chicago Diner, source of the best vegetarian junk food you've ever tasted (their wheat gluten gyros plate is an absolute marvel).
Favorite restaurants just to grab a bite would be Spoon, this Thai place that's a short bike ride from my house, or Chicago's Pizza, notable for the incredible yogurt sauce they use on their tuna steak sandwich and their obscenely late (5am) closing time.
Favorite places to go when I'm looking to drop some cash are Sai Cafe, a sushi place in Lincoln Park (a neighborhood that I otherwise can't stand) and Arun's, a Thai restaurant that has no menu, but rather offers a twelve-course dining event for an extremely reasonable $75 a plate.
And my favorite restaurant that I don't get to visit nearly enough is Cowgirl in Santa Fe. It's all kitschy cowgirl memorabilia, live music, and the best bar food you've ever had. Boys dance with boys, girls dance with girls, and it's all done with the hugest belt buckles you've ever seen. Camp doesn't get much higher than this.

Just to get it out of the way... Fast food: Subway, Harvey's, and I want to say "Made in Japan" but I'm not sure that's the right name. Willie's chinese takeout.
Restaurants: I like East Side Mario's but it can be hit or miss. Casey's (although they've burnt my Chicken Parmigiana the last 3 times I ordered it). Mamma Grazzi's has some good italian food. Seau Good (spelling that wrong, a local chinese restaurant in Ottawa's chinatown). And there is a local chinese restaurant that has good chinese food but great chicken balls (yeah, snicker). They are huge and mostly meat (yeah, snicker some more) rather than all batter.

There are a lot of places that are not around here. I wouldnt mind checking out that Longhorn. Closest place although is hour and a half from where I live. I have heard of Longhorn though at least. Red Robin, Tangletown, Mongos, and Old Chicago on the other hand never heard of it and nothing even close by.
Longhorn is fairly new where I'm at. (Missouri)
There are 2 within an hour of my house (one within 2 minutes), but I don't know how many there are across the US...

Used to be a Longhorn here. I didn't really care for it.
Well, I ate at this great Italian restaurant in San Diego. I don't remember the name, but is was on 5th avenue (or near it), It had a big red sign.
Best Indian - Gaylords (seriously, that's the name. Don't confuse it with the Gaylords Indian Restaurant in Chicago. What a coincidence.) Ate there in Nassau.
Best American - Damn good restaurants everywhere. Lesse, got that awesome steakhouse in Florida probably my favorite.

There is only one in all of Michigan (I'm only going by the location in your profile), and it is in the middle of the state, a place called "Okemos"
Dunno if you know where that is or not.....
Doesn't look like a HUGE chain, and I guess if it's south of Illinios, you won't find it....
Anywho, Old Chicago is a Beer and Pizza place, and of course they make "Chicago style pizza". You know, the stuff with like 15 layers of crust and a hell of a lot of sauce....THAT kind of pizza. Damn good restaurant, and I can always order a Killians there, so it's an A+ in my book.

My all time favorite is Steak n' Shake. Awesome food...
A close second is Winstead's. The Skycrapper Sundae is to die for...
My favorite fast food place is Hardee's. Voted number one for best burgers in both KC and STL.

When I was younger TGIFridays use to be one of my favorite resaurants. Mmmmm, Long Island Ice Tea. The TGIFridays seems to be lacking in several things in my area including manners. When I get one pop and no refills on a non busy night. Finally when the waiter walks by and see's me and says oh yeah I am taking care of you.

[QUOTE=KitsuShel]hmmm. I've never heard of Red Robin either. Where are they located?
QUOTE]
The one I go to is in Maryland, but I have seen Red Robin restaurants in Virginia, too. I have yet to be disappointed with the burger selections and crave going there at least every 3-4 weeks. (By the way, ironically enough where I live there is a Longhorn directly across from the Red Robin.)
My two runners-up for fave restaurants are: Hard Times Cafe (most excellent chili) and Hooters (wings, beer, hotties - what is there not to like???)
Favorite fast food: In-N-Out Burger. This chain is mainly found in CA, though there is one in Vegas as well. Beats the heck out of any other burger chain out there. I wish we had some on the East Coast, because their burgers truly are legendary...

Believe it or not, I love Hooters cheeseburgers
When i went to GenCon the last year they were in Milwaukee, our hotel was directly across from the hooters so we ate there mostly. :p

Yes, Donnie--it's near the In-N-Out Burger.

Since you are in Philly - There is one in Exton, one in Langhorne (Oxford Valley) and one right by the Neshaminy Mall at the Philly exit of the PA turnpike/Rt 1.
As for Hooters - I love their wings and the Grilled cheese is to die for..

Last time I was back in Milwaukee, that Hooter's was closed... such a shame a classic piece of Americana like that had to go.

you are probably refering to the best Italian Restaurant EVAR!
Bucca Di Beppo's!
Best restaurant.
second would be Claim Jumpers.
Red Robin comes in close a third.
None of which are anywhere close to me in MA. :(

Ick. I always wondered if their franchise license actually includes the stipulation that managers must prove, on a daily basis, that quantity does not, in fact, equal quality...
Wow, i've literally taken every person i know to this restaurant, never had anybody say they dislike it. but whatever. it's yummy!
If I'm looking for franchise Italian food, I'll go with Romano's Macaroni Grill every time.
me and my wife got food poisoning from macorroni grill once.

I don't, I guess Itlaian, I'd kinda have a thing for the Olive Garden. The one in Center City Philly is really nice.
Oh, and thanks for the locations, caitriona, I'll definitely check one of them out!
