Successful Trade Lists: the HCRealms Way!
To run a really good trade list, you need to understand the basics of HCRealms and do things the proper HCRealms way. The following is a list of guidelines to make your stay at HCRealms all the better.
1) Misleading Headers: By all means, your header should be vague, confusing or down right wrong. Being clear is very hard to do in less than fifty words, so why should you even try?
2) Opening Statement: Chances are everyone who trades at HCRealms is trying to cheat you, and you should make it understood in no uncertain terms that you don’t trust the people here and that you demand that anyone who trades with you to follow a strict code of ethics, that you, the superior one, don’t need to follow.
3) Listing Haves and Wants: Your personal code for listing figs by no means should be understood by a passing stranger out to cheat you. Include phrases like “very hard to get from me” which means you can’t find the figure, or the equally clever “low want” which means you’re hoping some idiot will toss one to you for free.
4) Trading fairly: means quite simply that you should get whatever you want while releasing as little as possible. Heroclix are one of the rarest of things on earth. There are so few of them, many people are willing to drive thousands of miles for a single booster. It stands to reason then that the LE you were given at a comic con is worth more than anything anyone offers you. In fact, there might be trace elements of your DNA on the clix you’ve touched, automatically making them priceless.
5) Dropping Clever Remarks in other threads is expected and encouraged. You’re the smartest one here, and all these dummies need your correcting influence. Feel free to make remarks about things that don’t concern you in the slightest. After all, you recently sold a KC Green Lantern on eBay for $64.75, (plus postage), and thus are given carte blanche to mention that any other deal out there is a cheat, a fake, or a dirty low down lie. Your personal opinion on all subjects deserves to be heard, and where’s a better place for it than in the middle of a trading thread? Threatening people who disagree is encouraged as well.
6) Leaving Feedback is for suckers. Demand that other people leave feedback, especially the cheats with a lower rating than you, but you can’t be bothered with it yourself. Sure, you’ll leave feedback on the third trade or if you know the person, but these other guys? Screw ‘em! Let them build their own network of power trading.
And that’s it! Six simple guidelines to make your stay at HCRealms, heartwarming and profit driven! Remember: As long as you Trust No One, then no one will ever swindle you!
