Successful Trade Lists: the HCRealms Way!

To run a really good trade list, you need to understand the basics of HCRealms and do things the proper HCRealms way. The following is a list of guidelines to make your stay at HCRealms all the better.

1) Misleading Headers: By all means, your header should be vague, confusing or down right wrong. Being clear is very hard to do in less than fifty words, so why should you even try?

2) Opening Statement: Chances are everyone who trades at HCRealms is trying to cheat you, and you should make it understood in no uncertain terms that you don’t trust the people here and that you demand that anyone who trades with you to follow a strict code of ethics, that you, the superior one, don’t need to follow.

3) Listing Haves and Wants: Your personal code for listing figs by no means should be understood by a passing stranger out to cheat you. Include phrases like “very hard to get from me” which means you can’t find the figure, or the equally clever “low want” which means you’re hoping some idiot will toss one to you for free.

4) Trading fairly: means quite simply that you should get whatever you want while releasing as little as possible. Heroclix are one of the rarest of things on earth. There are so few of them, many people are willing to drive thousands of miles for a single booster. It stands to reason then that the LE you were given at a comic con is worth more than anything anyone offers you. In fact, there might be trace elements of your DNA on the clix you’ve touched, automatically making them priceless.

5) Dropping Clever Remarks in other threads is expected and encouraged. You’re the smartest one here, and all these dummies need your correcting influence. Feel free to make remarks about things that don’t concern you in the slightest. After all, you recently sold a KC Green Lantern on eBay for $64.75, (plus postage), and thus are given carte blanche to mention that any other deal out there is a cheat, a fake, or a dirty low down lie. Your personal opinion on all subjects deserves to be heard, and where’s a better place for it than in the middle of a trading thread? Threatening people who disagree is encouraged as well.

6) Leaving Feedback is for suckers. Demand that other people leave feedback, especially the cheats with a lower rating than you, but you can’t be bothered with it yourself. Sure, you’ll leave feedback on the third trade or if you know the person, but these other guys? Screw ‘em! Let them build their own network of power trading.

And that’s it! Six simple guidelines to make your stay at HCRealms, heartwarming and profit driven! Remember: As long as you Trust No One, then no one will ever swindle you!

You forgot to mention that if you don't have the boxes for the LE's, to inculde this info as an after-thought once a deal has been made.

I found this pretty dang humorous. Thanks for a good laugh!

And lets not forget about neglecting to tell them the dial is heat damaged, covered in glue, glued to the flight stand, incorrect dial, or only a partial order that you don't care about filling because you're getting out of the game and never coming back to heroclix or HCrealms...

Well, enough of my rant...

This is my favorite post of the day.

(Okay, so it's the only thread I've read today, but I've been busy...)

I suspect Bud & K-ness aren't going to be the only two to agree with the spirit of this thread.

Been having fun over here eh?

Another one you might want to add is:

7) reputation at ebay or CreationMatrix means nothing. I've had people tell me that successful trades at that other site (besides being a mod over there) doesn't mean anything, you still have no rating over here........that and my 169 positive feedbacks on ebay still means I have to send first. Say what?

never had a bad trade anywhere yet, but still sometimes a guy with a 6 rating will still try to make it sound like i'm trying to cheat him.

Unfortunately, trading at hcrealms has gotten somewhat difficult. I hope to help things out and make things easier as time goes by. The best I can tell you if people are being petty or childish don't trade with them. No one is better than anyone on this site and everyones figures (condition pending) are worth the same (KC superman owned by rock810 costs the same as one owned by someone else).

oh... i get it.... yeah...

i've had pretty positive experiences trading here, though....

but i recently received a figure that was "booster fresh", with gunk on the peg, and the flight stand kinda yanked off too easily when i turned the dial...

Yeah with the exception of you hating me, I think you're doing just fine! ;)

This one might just deserve a sticky.

Let us not forget the Kookamungus trade!

Have
Galactus *****(very hard to get from me)

Want
Galactus *(low want)

This reminds me of all of those people who have this long list of wants, and half of the pieces are in their haves.

I also love traded a piece to someone that they want, to watch it be listed as trade fodder a week later. Makes me think "You really wanted that piece, didn't you."

Yeah, I know. What's up with that?!?
Do they just like spending money on postage?

Glad this is being received well because I wasn't sure. I keep hitting trade threads where the poster is very touchy about something or other. Though maybe there's a reason behind it. Like the other day, this guy let me borrow his Mr Sinister for a match and everytime Mr Sinister tried to hit someone he missed! Threes and fours instead a five! Now why would anyone be mean enough to lend out a broken figure like that? I just don't get it...

Well, I've had nothing but good experiences here. Met some nice people all around the country too. I think the golden rule still applies. I've also read all the sticky notes on trading do's and dont's. If something doesn't sound right to me, I don't deal.
