View Full Version : Ultimate Spider-Man
I'm surprised this doesn't have a thread already. Oh well, it came out three days ago and being a Spidey fanboy I had to get it right away. I finished the story mode this morning sadly, but there are actually rewards for doing all the other stuff in the game this time arund thankfully. I won't go into deep detail about it, this more about discussion after all.
Anyway else played or looking forward to this game?

I would buy it, but the last two Spidey games for the PS2 I beat in 5 hours or less, so I'll probably rent this one and see if it's any good. I read the PS2 review at IGN.com and they said there was no more than 7 hours of gameplay. Also what's up with the fact that there is no Aunt May in this game and no J. Jonah Jameson.

Got it. I'm really disappointed by all the stuff they've taken away from Spiderman, it's not nearly as much fun to just swing around the city as it was in Spiderman 2. And since I'm not a fan of most Ultimate storylines (except Ultimates which rocks) I'm not that into the story. Sorry but X-Men Legends 2 is way better.
Yeah the story was cool and now i play every once in a while looking for tokens. I want that black suit!

I was stoked for this game, but haven't actually played it yet...I was waiting 'til I got my XBOX 360. Now I have since found out that Ult Spidey (which came out in Sept '05) IS NOT BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE!!! AARGHH! My only hope is that when Microsoft does the "Value Hits" packaging for the game it will then be BC...
Also interested in seeing the storyline of the game first hand since Bendis revealed (I forget where...but he did!), that the comic would pick up some points from the end of the game.

This game was AWESOME! I loved it, I just wish there was a little more gameplay.
Oh, and the story was great.
It would make a lot of sense if the comic picked up after the end of the game. I'm not going to ruin it for people who haven't played it, but for those of you that have, you know the big V will be back(i think?)
