What's the one comic book, series, whatever, that you have never read? What's the hole in your library, the comics that everybody else has read but you? That you think might be really good, but haven't experienced?

Mine in Simonson's Thor. I've read a *lot* of comics, and tend to read most stuff that's critically acclaimed (even if I end up disagreeing) but I never read this run. After seeing a page of it online recently, I want to.

There are also all sorts of comics that have been well-read that I've missed, but I think none so universally loved as this run.

What's yours?

Armor Wars and House of M.

I haven't read those either, although I didn't know Armor Wars was highly regarded. House of M is new, so I might end up reading it.

I also missed most of the X-crossovers and stories of the 90's. Never read Age of Apocalypse or Inferno, for instance, or X-Tinction Agenda.

I haven't read John Byrne's Fantastic Four although I've heard a lot of good things about it. I also haven't touched Simonson's Thor either and would really like to pick up both sometime in the future when I have a little more time to read them. As of right now though, I should probably get cracking on my school books...

Marvels

I have had a browse through Maus but it never grabbed me so that is another one.

Mine is Age of Apocalypse...I really dig on the X-Men..probably the only non-Ultimate Marvels I try to read on a regular basis, and while AOA sounds great, I haven't gotten my hands on it just yet, I've heard there's a Hardcover out or something that collects them all, any idea where I can find it for a fair price?

That hardcover is actually a series of softcover volumes, the second one which is coming out this week. It's worth a read if you want to go through all of it in chrnological order. I kinda liked the Age of Apocalypse, but it does have it's problem. The first volume goes for about 30 bucks as does the second one, a good price for around 300 pages of comics.

I've never had a chance to sit down and read the original Secret Wars.

I've never had a chance to sit down and read the original Secret Wars.

Almost as bad as mine:

Crisis on Infinite Earths and Age of Apocalypse.

I never got around to reading "Crisis on Infinite Earth" either. Embarassing.

Also, there's a 1970s-era JLA/JSA/Legion of Super Heroes team-up that I never read and always wanted to.

By the way, Simonson's Thor run has been reprinted in TPB form. I think it runs for three volumes.

Only read a handful of Wolfman Teen Titans issues, not even the Judas Contract. I really want to read Grendel, but have no idea where to start. Never read any 2000 AD. Also, who's this spiderman fella people keep posting on?

JLA Earth 2-which I was finally able to get this week. After I do some house work, in preperation for Thanksgiving this weekend, it's on my list of things to do! :p

Well I 've read everything listed so far, so I'd have to say the Busiek/Perez Avengers run would top my list of "haven't read but need to".
Simonson's Thor was my favorite at the time it was printed, along with Byrne's second run on FF. His first F.F. run was good as well, but not as long.
Crisis on Infinite Earths I just re-read, if you haven't read it and you are fairly young, you won't really enjoy it as much, in my opinion. You'd really have to be fairly immersed in the pre-Crisis world of DC to feel it's impact. As a stand alone to younger readers, it's pretty confusing, but still a good read.
Watchmen--- still holds up as one of my favorites, every time I re-read it.
Armor wars may not be held as a classic, but I really enjoyed it as well.
Also, I wanted to ask: I skipped out on all that "Heroes Return" stuff, should I track it down or be thankful I missed it?
