View Full Version : Are You Buying A Click Brick For Armor Wars?
With the Phoenix and Iron man le offers with the click brick it is looking like a good possible system. So will you be buying a click brick from your brick and mortar store?

I am definitely buying a ClixBrick. Not only that, I plan to split a case with a friend and go to at least three Marquees. Should not be too hard for me to get a set.

Probably 3.
I can't wait to buy a brick, it just won't be from this set. I already have a Dark Phoenix, and with one figure that really interests me in this set (Black King), I'll pass on the brick on this one. I just hate Iron Man so much.

Yes I will probably buy one. (if I start saving now.)

When I voted "yes" to the poll, it's because I'll be buying four Bricks. A full case like I usually do.
(As soon as one set is out, I immediately begin saving for the next. This game, and WizKids, has me by the short-hairs.....)

I had to vote "no" on this survey. I like the character selection in AW, and don't want any Wizkids viewer to think I voted "no" on Armor Wars characters.
But I do not like the whole clix brix promotion attitude of supporting your local venue at the cost of the online retailers.

Already paid for my Clixbrix at my local store in order to get a 30% off price. Then I'll buy some of the REV figs I still need off the case buyers at the store and hope to pull a few uniques in the sealed games I play in and trade for the rest of the ones I just have to have.

I'll go for a single brick, and possibly a few loose boosters. I am not interested in the LEs though, as the postage to get them to Europe is too high for my liking.

This has got to be the first complaint ever about the opression of the online retailers by the brick and mortar store! Pleh! :speechles
the xbox 360 comes out NOV. 22, i would love to buy a clix brix but, im simply going to be broke.
With the "guarantee" of 4 uniques in a brick, that will help me get my Black King and Magneto...the two figures that I really, really, really want....so I voted yes. Plus, a Dark P will be nice.

I had to vote yes. Work keeps me busy, and I need a Dark Phoenix, so that will be my way. Besides the figs that you can get out of the brick (with the uniques or course), the added bonus is the Anthony Stark.
Is he playable? In my opinion I could do alot with those points I would pay for him, but I am a longtime Iron Man fan, and if I don't use him, he will be a nice addition to my display wall!!!!!
As for the reason for the promotion....I don't know that I like the idea personally. I started buying my clix via E-bay with Icons, and I was pleased to get what I wanted. Yes there is a fun with opening packs, but I seem to have really bad pack luck, so I was happy to get what I wanted.
Besides, I have friends who own shops, I'll buy from them too because thier my friends!!!

I'm defiantly getting one for the Iron Man fig. I'll probably get the Phoenix too. You can always give it away at an event or something.

No need to be defiant about the fig. Just get it normally.
I'm hearing a lot of guys talking about getting Dark Phoenix. It's just regular Phoenix, isn't it?

Nope. Phoenix is the 50$ mailaway through Wizard Magazine. Dark Phoenix is the 30$ mailaway available if you get a ClixBrix.

I'm running out of storage for these things so I'm cutting my usual full case back to a half case (2 bricks).

Well, I had hope to hit the Washington Pre-release, but we are just a tad bit short on Heroclix funds, with all of the stuff occurring regarding Heroclix.
So
I am getting a Clixbrick, splitting a case with a friend, getting 3 to 6 boosters from the Pre-release next week, and 1 Marquee should net everything I need to complete my set.

I voted no, although if online prices go up even just a buck, I will definitely get a brick instead. $5 vs. $8 a pop, plus I can get cheap REV singles from the previous set. I really do want to support my local venue, but I just can't afford it and don't have the nards to try and haggle a deal with them.
Yeah, I'm down for a brick :)
Honestly, the LE Iron Man is good, but not a deal-maker. I'm probably going to give Phoenix to my friend who has been through some rough times lately, so that will make his day. And there isn't even any Serpent Society!
So, I can't give you a good reason WHY, but I am buying a brick. I guess just on the principle of the thing.
I'm getting a brick so that I can get a Dark Pheonix and, hopefully, a Magneto.
That, and I think it's a promotion that I'd like to encourage since it helps the local game stores, which are really what keep the game alive.

Are you kidding me?! Look at any of his previous posts. Granted, it's all the same person, but by far not the first post. :cheeky:
I also will be buying 4 brix, via a full case. Can't wait!

I have already put my money down for it.

I had been planning to, until I started seeing mediocre dial after mediorce dial for characters I'd been exicted for previously... I'll probably still do it, but will want to throw all my R Iron Men in the garbage, likely with a lot of others...
This is the cycle that always occurs: I say I'm only going to buy singles of the figures I want, but can never get enough of them, and so buy boosters in hopes of geting them later. And don't, embittering me into proclaiming that I'll never buy any more boosters. Until the next set comes out......
I am getting 8 of them (I am feeling REALLY stupid right now, too). While I can't use 8 without 8 seperate addresses, I plan to break down the case to split among some friends.
...but with each new piece revealed, I am less and less thrilled with the wonderful new design of the pieces... The pieces are just aggravating me.

Even though I no longer play the game, a chance at that schweet clear orange bird-girl is too good to pass up ;)
Plus one of my nephews is really into Iron Man, so I can give him the figures

Not sure. I probably really shouldn't but at the same time I think I'm going to buy quite a bit of AW. Maybe I'll just buy three packs at a time...

If I did buy a brick it would be online. I don't care about the Iron Man LE. I'm fine with trying to pull the silver one. I couldn't afford a brick at a normal store.
I've already ordered a case online for a nice pre-release price of $210, which is about $130 cheaper than if I bought a case in the store. I might buy a brick also just to get the Iron Man/Dark Phoenix figures. And hey, I need enough figures from other sets that I should be able to trade things very easily.
And I guess since I'm not a serious gamer and play only on occassion with friends who are categorized in the same way, I don't think the figures are all that bad. But then again, I've only really won five sanctioned matches in my life, so my all time record stands at 5-12, it's no wonder I get my butt kicked a lot. Eh, it's only a game, think of it as more of a challenge to win with these figures. After all, anyone can win with Vet Superman, Fortitude & Armor Piercing.
In the future, I might, but the paticular LE this time around, doesn't inspire me. Got DP, so it just doesn't work for me. I whole-heartedly endorse the concept!

When it was first introduced, I was keen, but then I found out the ridiculous amount of postage I would need to pay to get the LE sent here to Australia, and it turned me right off. There is no way that it would cost that much to ship a single figure (I've bought and traded plenty of times overseas). So, I'd like it to be yes, but it's a no.
I really want a Krypto though....will have to try and find a way around that postage.

Does anyone know the price of one of these in CDN currency? Also, the price of the Dark Phoenix?
And I also heard something mentioned about new maps. Does that mean there's a new starter set?
I voted undecided.

I was going to buy one to get DP, then I found out I could get a better Phoenix from IQ, and I decided against it.
I WILL BE BUYING A CASE OF COLLATERAL DAMAGE, though...

I always buy at least a case of each set from my local comic store, so a clix brick isn't a problem for me. I don't need the Phoenix, but there's plenty to like about a classic Iron Man!
Yeah, and probably four them while I'm at it.
There are a few figures I'm looking forward to but I'm not enough of an Iron man fan.... the Collateral Damage clixbrick? with Krypto! Oh. hail.yeah.

I don't think I am this time. I do want most of the REV's, but the only U I really want is Sentry.
I'll probably decide after the marquee's (I generally go to 3 or 4) and see what I have left to collect.
This is just a quick poll to see where everyone gets their wizkids product. Online or at a Store.

Store. Yeah, it costs more. But, the lady behind the counter is a cutie-gamer-chick. (Hey, Erin!) And her hubby's a good guy. (Hey, Josh!)
On-line might be cheaper, but they are good people, and friends. I count every dime and nickel all the time, but friendship has to mean something.
I will purchase at least 1, if not 2 Clixbricks.
I like the fact that they are providing something extra to those who buy product in bulk.
I will certainly take advantage of the deal and send away for my Classic Iron Man (still debating about the Jean Grey, however)...

Is it too late to change one's vote? :surprised
