This is just a quick poll to see where everyone gets their wizkids product. Online or at a Store.

I believe a person should "pay where they play." So I always buy from my local comic book store where I play Clix every Sunday. The only way I'd ever buy online is if I had no venue to buy from and only played home games. ;)

Since I stopped getting cases. I buy all my clix at the comic shop I play at.

I buy mine at my venue (and some at a secondary venue). Then I trade extras. :)

Online all the way. Cases and extra nons from online outlets, then high priced singles from that other site where people fight over the same items with their cash, or HCRealms.

But then I live in the UK, so it would be ridiculous to purchase figures like KC Green Lantern or Dark phoenix from a retailer, who charge £squillons.

Oh and in my defence, I should point out that my local venue charges £8.99 for Fantastic Forces boosters.

£8.99. Or if you prefer, a discounted "£399.99" for a case.

That's $700.

As opposed to £189.99 from the online store I use.

They also sell some singles...I saw a Nimrod priced at £49.99

Well ... er ... ummmmmmmmm

I buy two cases of each 'Clix from two local brick and mortar stores (I don't buy them from the store that introed me 2 'Clix (well, MK 1st) due to issues with the Judge/venue).

I trade extras to fill out a set (1 ea U, 2 ea REV) at one of the stores with one of the guys who works there (he's more a collector than a player).

I will buy singles (usually HTF Us or LEs) online: E-Bay (Buy It Now! only - haggling online is boring) or from the usual suspects online (PJCCMall, Icon USA, Popular Collections, etc.) using a custom webspider I wrote (for an entirely different purpose) to do power comparison shopping.

I guess I will vote for brick & mortar...

I buy at my brick n mortar. But I wouldn't necessarily say it's to support them, since Heroclix is generally NOT the only thing that I spend my money on at one place, while it is at another.

I like the polls that show who voted for what (like the FF vs. Icons poll). maybe just me.

I buy all my bricks at a mortar store.

I used to buy my cases online, but there is a store here where there is little difference between his price and the online stores' prices. I'd rather buy from him and help support someone I know, than some faceless online entity. I play in his shop, so he should get my business.

I haven't bought any since my brick n mortar store closed down.

So in other words, I buy from a brick n mortar store.

Brick and Mortar all the way!

I buy most of my Heroclix from the Brick and Mortar store that I go for Heroclix tournaments.

I'd be into buying from my B and M more often if they would remain competitive with online store prices, but when they charge several dollars more for boosters then I just can't justify the expense.

Ive bought from both online and brick & mortar stores. ( Cost cant be beat from online) plus Ive got two kids who play and sometimes one cant get enough for me , so I spread the wealth.

I buy mainly from 2-3 brick and mortar stores in the area. Mainly from the one up the street from my house due to the fact that it is where I play the most. They put up the space for free (I know it's to increase clix sales but it's still free) so I'll buy the most from them.
I've bought a few boosters at a chain store but thats usually when I'm just there shopping for something else and figure "what the heck, I'll pick up a booster while I'm here."
I've never bought a booster/case online and I wont because I prefer to support the local brick and mortar. I do buy U's/LE's on ebay from time to time but thats mainly due to the lack of singles in most of the local stores. There are available REV's but U's are hit and miss so evilbay is pretty much the only option.

I only buy boosters for sealed/prerelease events.

Then I trade for the rest of the figures I want.

Strange timing for this question. I've been playing from the beginning & I bought Infinity Challenge & Hypertime through chain stores & put Clobberin' Time together completely by trading extras from the 1st 2 expansions. Every expansion since then I've bought via online. That's changing with Armor Wars - due to the clix brick LE + my shop is now offering much better prices, only $20 more than what I would pay online.

I always wanted to give the shop where I play my business. Now that they've met me half way in the price department, I can.

I'm sure the results of this poll would look radically different 2 months ago.

I am one of the lucky ones, since I actually own my own brick-and-mortar store, so I obviously buy everything through the shop. Yes, I know...jealousy is an ungly emotion...

I have never been to play in my local venue. All my games have been at home, (luckily I know 5 other clickers) but I still use the oracle at my local store to clarify rules and such. I buy my boosteres from the store but I lose patience with boosters pretty quick and end up getting the clix I want online. I'll be buying my brick through the store for AW and hopefully playing my first match at a venue at the pre-release. I'd buy everything from the store if the singles were priced competitively in relation to the net.....Thank you. :surprised

I'm going to say that I've bought most of my clix from On-line stores. Up until either CT or CM when Wizkids made it harder for B&M's to discount, I used to buy from them. Of course Marquees and drafts are still purchase times for me. But the majority of the last sets have been On-line purchases of a case or so. The Clix Brix promotion is pulling me back to buy a brick at my local gaming location (Armor Wars -2 bricks on-line, 1 brick B&M).

Brick-and-Mortar myself, although I have to drive a long way to get there. I shop owner is great about making deals for those who buy in bulk, so it's worth the drive...

My local shop is $250 + tax for 48 boosters, I got a case of Icons for $199 + shipping on EBay.
I'd pay the $40 extra to the store, IF he could get me a sealed case. But he never can.

brick and mortar....ebay is evil (at least my credit card says so :P)

well..brick and mortar when I'm /not/ at Eastern IL University...where there is no venue or brick and mortar place to buy from :(

there needs to be more clixers at EIU

I've been splitting a case with a friend. The Online store has a brick and mortar store in our city. Order online - then call and cancel the shipping and show up to pick it up when its released.

Best of both worlds - I get Online prices and get the populist applause for 'helping my local community'...

I buy mine from local stores, usually the comic shop these days. I'd buy them from the hobby store that holds our free tournaments, but they've been running out of boosters so quickly since around the release of Mutant Mayhem: they never have any in stock other than the weekend after release. Too bad, really, I get to play HeroClix there every weekend I can get out there and never end up buying anything.

As for buying online, I just can't take waiting for the boosters. If I bought singles I'd probably do it online, but if I'm buying a random booster I want it now!

Eh, my local Walmart used to sell them, but they stopped selling them ages ago and that's pretty much the only place offline I could find it. After that Ive been rummaging for a way to beat my friend...who has a team of first run Ultron's and other ones such as that.
